Warning! Obama more determined than ever to pass Obamacare

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: Congress, Democrats, Obama, P-BO, Politics, health care, progressives

Apparently, the political elite progressives in D.C. think they are smarter than WE THE PEOPLE and we just  don’t understand anything.  Apparently, they believe we are too stupid to understand they are doing what is best for WE THE PEOPLE and that we just don’t get it.  Apparently, those idiots don’t understand that 65% of this country have shouted from the tops of our lungs to stay away from our health insurance.

I am on Obama’s Organizing for America e-mail list.  This is the e-mail I received on Saturday – just one day after he publicly announced that health reform is dead on the hill.

An alarming new study shows that health care costs increased last year at the fastest rate in more than a half century.

Health care spending rose to an estimated $2.5 trillion in 2009, or $8,047 per person — and is now projected to nearly double by 2019. If we don’t act, this growing burden will mean more lost jobs, more families pushed into bankruptcy, and more crushing debt for our nation.

The conclusion is clear: This isn’t a problem we can kick down the road for another decade — or even another year. We need to pass health reform now.

First, the most obvious thing in this e-mail is it does no provide the citation of this “new study.”  Second, the reason that health care spending is on the rise is due to Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP. Private sector spending is 55% of total spending (this includes private insurance and self-pay).  Right now, government spending on health care is 6.7% of GDP and it is expected (without factoring in for this bullshit bill) government spending on healthcare will increase to 18.2% of GDP by 2050.  We’re seeing the effects of that now.  Private sector spending will decrease while government sector increases.  These tactics by the progressives are nothing but fear mongering.  Government run healthcare continues to increase because of fraud, waste, and abuse.  Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP lose $100’s of billions every year due mostly to fraud.  Healthcare fraud in the government run system is so prolific that organized crime is now involved – that alone is a $60 billion/year industry.  You don’t see this in private sector health care because private insurers employ resources that actually search out and combat this kind of fraud.

Despite our pleas with the government to stop – and despite the fact the GOP is taking Democrat seats left and right and are poised to completely take control of Congress in November – Obama came out saying this yesterday

“Just in case there’s any confusion out there, let me be clear. I am not going to walk away from health insurance reform,” Obama said, in one of his most feisty speeches since his 2008 election campaign.

“I’m not going to walk away from the American people. I’m not going to walk away on this challenge. I’m not going to walk away on any challenge.’

I guess we’re just too stupid to take care of ourselves and this idiot President is going to keep drilling it in our heads until we finally get it.  Well – we’re up to his challenge also.  I say – bring it on idiot – this will seal the doom for the progressives once and for all.

Democrats Push to Repeal First Amendment!

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: Congress, Constitution, Democrats, Freedom of Speech, Liberals, Politics, progressives

You probably thought I was joking!  I’m dead serious.

h/t to JammieWearingFool – you have to read this post – here’s just a snippet

Well they have taken the next illogical step, mainly proposing a constitutional amendment to repeal the First Amendment. The amendment is being cosponsored by Donna Edwards (D-MD) and John Conyers (D-MI) among others.

Jammie has the links and the rest of the story.  I told you before – these progressive Democrats really hate our country and our constitution. If you live in either of those states – let both Conyers and Edwards know that if they continue to push this thing – you will exercise your right to free speech and let everyone know what they are up to – and then you’ll exercise your right to vote their asses out next time around.

If this gets any traction – we all need to make sure we get on the horn with our representatives and senators and tell them they better not mess with our most fundamental of all rights – those contained in the First Amendment.  You appeal the First Amendment and it opens the doors for the government to take over EVERY aspect of our lives.

For those of you who may have forgotten – here is EVERYTHING that is in The First Amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

These idiots are treading in some very dangerous waters here.

UPDATE - I’ve decided to go a little further here for my challenged progressive readers.  First – here is the Citizens United SCOTUS Decision (opens up a .pdf).  I have read the entire 183 page decision – I suggest you do as well.  Justice Steven’s Dissenting Opinion is just as long as The Affirmative Decision.  Justice Thomas also has a partial dissenting opinion at the tail end.  The decision does not reverse 100 years of decided law.  It only reversed one section of the entire BCRA of 2002 – all other prior decisions regarding campaign finance laws is still in place.  The assumption that everyone is making is that the First Amendment applies ONLY to individuals.  Read it again – “Congress shall make no law…abridging the freedom of speech…”  Where exactly does it state that this applies only to individuals?  The affirmative decision cites several cases where corporate speech has been protected – and – in all of the opinions of those cases – it was only suggested that such speech be carefully monitored – but at no time did it ever say it should be banned or abridged.  The BCRA of 2002 did just that – it banned free speech.

As one reader pointed out – what Edwards and Conyers introduced is an Amendment – not a call for a complete repeal of the First Amendment – here is the wording of the introduced Amendment:

‘‘SECTION 1. The sovereign right of the people to govern being essential to a free democracy, Congress and the States may regulate the expenditure of funds for political speech by any corporation, limited liability company, or other corporate entity.

‘‘SECTION 2. Nothing contained in this Article shall be construed to abridge the freedom of the press.’’

Here are the VERY clear dangers of this Amendment:

1. It does indeed repeal the First Amendment except for the freedom of the press by omission of the remaining First Amendment language.  It will be argued as such if this amendment ever gets ratified by the states. If you have ever read previous arguments and decisions coming out of the SCOTUS regarding challenges to any of the amendments – you know what I’m talking about. Omissions are just as important in law interpretation as are submissions.

2. Section 1 allows congress to pick and choose which corporations they want to ban from political speech.  The use of “may” is exclusive.  For this to be all inclusive of all corporations, LLCs or other corporate entities it NEEDS to say “shall.”

3. This Amendment will be struck down as well because SCOTUS just said Congress cannot pass such a law in the Citizen’s United decision.

4. The Main Stream Media is corporate owned today.  At the time the First Amendment was written – it was unheard of or unthinkable that the “press” would become corporate entities.  SCOTUS already protected Corporate speech.  By specifically stating the corporate owned press is excluded from this amendment – it gives the corporate owned press the ability to become the conduit for those who Congress decides to exclude using section 1.  The point I make here is for you liberals and progressives who aren’t thinking this through is this…  I know how much you hate Fox.  Here is the scenario – Citizen’s United produces a movie called “Obama” this time and gets banned again because of section 1.  Now – because of section 2 – Fox news can air the Obama movie because they believe it is newsworthy and worth reporting.  They can hide behind freedom of the press.  Conversely, MoveOn.org creates a flyer critical of the next GOP candidate.  They can’t publish it and distribute it before the election because of section 1.  Well, the New York Times decides it is newsworthy and publishes it as an editorial piece.  They too are protected because Section 2 excludes them and allows the publication to be protected under the freedom of the press clause.

Those DAMNED obstructionist Republicans!!!

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: Congress, Democrats, Obama, Politics, Republicans, government

This is going to be a very short and simple post because I’m getting tired of seeing Democrat political hacks in this administration blaming “obstructionist” Republicans from preventing Obama from getting his agenda items passed.  I am no way a Republican supporter – I am not a registered Republican.  However, I think the record needs to be set straight.  We’ll let the facts speak for themselves:

Number of Total Senators = 100

Number of Democrat Senators = 58

Number of Republican Senators= 40

Number of Independent Senators = 2 (Both caucus with Democrats).

Number of votes needed to pass ANY legislation = 51

Can someone please tell me how the Republicans are obstructing anything?  Even with Scott Brown coming in – that will give the Republicans 41 votes and the Democrats 57 (not including the Independents).  The Republicans could not mount any kind of defense of any freakin bill.  So – how exactly is it that the Republicans are blocking passage of any bills in the Senate?

Total Number of Representatives in The House – 435

Total Number of Democrat Representatives = 256

Total Number of Republican Representatives – 178

Total Number of Independent Representatives = 0

There is currently 1 vacant seat.

Number of votes needed to pass ANY Legislation (51%) = 222

Again – even in the House – they have 34 more people than is required to pass legislation.  Again, the Republicans don’t have enough to mount a defense against any bill.

Between the House and The Senate – They are both controlled by a large enough majority that any bill written could be passed without a single Republican vote.  The Republicans can essentially stay at home for all of 2010 and twiddle their thumbs.  They had no power in 2009 – the have no power in 2010.  All Scott Brown will do now is enable the Republicans to mount a filibuster.  That just means that Harry Reid can no longer shut down debate whenever he feels like it.  You need 60 votes to shut down debate.  Filibusters eventually end – and – in the end – the Democrats will still have enough votes on their own without Republicans to pass whatever the hell they want.

Before you moonbats on the left start declaring Republicans as “The Party of No” and “obstructionists” I suggest you look to the Democratic party itself.  The only one’s obstructing Obama’s agenda are Democrats.  The reason they keep looking to the Republicans and blaming them is because the Democrats don’t want to be the only one’s caught holding the bag when this house of cards coming falling down.  They want to be able to point at the Republicans and say “They voted for it too!”  The Democrats own every piece of legislation passed in this country since 2007.  They and they alone are responsible for the total destruction of this economy because of their policies.  They and they alone have the majority vote without Republicans.

You see – we’re awake now – and – we know who is to blame.  Sure, Republicans are scumbags too – that’s why they are no longer in power – but – now we see who the BIGGEST scumbags are – progressive democrats that hate this country and the individual liberty and freedom it affords us.  Democrats and Obama own this mess.  Stop blaming Bush and the Republicans – they haven’t been able to mount any kind of defense in the last 4 years.

P-BO Makes George Bush Look Like a Mensa Genius

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: America, Congress, Conservative, Democrats, Elections, Idiots, Liberals, P-BO, Politics, government

Did anybody else catch the Stephanopolous interview with Obama?  Here’s what P-BO said with regards to the Scott Brown win:

“Here’s my assessment of not just the vote in Massachusetts, but the mood around the country: the same thing that swept Scott Brown into office swept me into office…People are angry and they are frustrated. Not just because of what’s happened in the last year or two years, but what’s happened over the last eight years.”

WTF, man?  Is P-BO really that much of an idiot or is he just in complete denial – or could it be both?  He seriously is blaming anger for Bush for the massive voter turn out to the Republican.  How does that even make sense?  Does he really think voters and the American people are that stupid?

“Hey, Frank.  You know what?  I’m so pissed off that the Republicans screwed up this country over the past 8 years that I’m gonna show them – I’m going to vote another Republican back in so the Democrats can’t control Congress any more – duh her!”

Either Obama is the most inept individual who ever sat in that seat – or – he’s just so blinded and focused on his agenda and this hate Bush message that he can’t see America for what it really is and for the massive revolt that is happening.  I know the Liberals hate to admit it – but – Congress has been in control of the direction of this economy since 2007.  This economy was actually doing quite well when the Republicans were in the majority.  There were some very serious warning signs and every Republican from Bush, to McCain, to Boehner, and on and on were trying several times to warn Congress and the people that trouble was brewing in Fannie and Freddy.  It was Barney Franks and Chris Dodd who refused to open up the books and reform Fannie and Freddy stating everything is fine there.  Republicans were standing on the mountain tops yelling that the CRA and Fannie and Freddie will cause an economic turndown if it wasn’t fixed.  The warning signs were there and the Democrats did absolutely nothing.  The Democrats were in control when this economy melted down.  The liberal policies that they pushed over the last 2 years is what caused this mess.  The power hungry mindset of the Democrats and the refusal to listen to the other side is what caused this mess.  Obama was part of that problem.  Obama too refused to allow a complete investigation of Fannie and Freddy.  Perhaps that’s because Gaine’s is one of his closest friends and allies.  The Democrats and their idiotic anti-capitalist liberal policies is what caused this economic collapse – and – we the people know the truth.  We know it isn’t Bush’s fault.  We know you Democrats caused it by not addressing the issue.  Rather, you continued to cover up the problem.  Obama – hear me now – we are not angry over the last 8 years – we are angry over the last 2 years – and especially after the last 1 year with out of control spending and increased debt.

Somehow, he honestly has to believe that the reason why the Independents voted for Brown was because they thought Obama hasn’t done enough, meaning, he’s going to continue to push forward with his radical agenda to “fundamentally transform this country.”  According to this latest article – that is exactly what he intends to do.  Apparently, he didn’t get the message – and – apparently, America didn’t shout it loud enough in Massachusetts!  We’re going to have to make damned sure in November that there is no way he can misread that message.  We need to send THEM ALL packing.  Every Democrat – Every Liberal RINO – Every politician who has ever voted against the American people – they all need to go.

Just a real quick refresher for those of you that truly do not understand how government works – the POTUS does not write the bills.  The POTUS does not create the budgets.  The POTUS does not control the nation’s treasury.  Congress controls all of that.  The POTUS signs off or vetoes the bills.  All he can do is ask Congress to do one or all of the above – but – he has no control as to what is actually written and presented to him for his signature.  His only control is to approve or deny.  So – the blame for this mess lies squarely with Congress – not Bush.  Congress in the last years never did a thing to send a bill or allow an investigation as Bush asked.  Don’t blame Bush because the Dems in control failed to act as requested by Republicans and Bush.

I blame “Independent” voters for this mess!

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: America, Congress, Conservative, Democrats, Elections, Idiots, Liberals, Politics, government, health care

confusionAs most should all know by now – the Dems passed that idiotic health care bill in the Senate this morning.

The good news is it still has to go to reconciliation to combine the House and Senate bills – which – it appears there could be some serious obstacles to getting this thing passed. The bad news is that Pelosi and Reid are going to do it behind closed doors.  What ever happened to transparency? Let’s hope there will be enough outraged Dems this time around that will refuse to allow this closed door policy to pass.

But – given all things – the only ones to blame for this mess are those so-called “Independent” voters who are always in the middle of the road – afraid to commit.  During this last election everyone knew how the left was going to vote and everyone knew, pretty much, how the right was going to vote – either McCain or some other conservative candidate. The reason Obama won was because of those so-called “Independent” voters, sometimes called “Swing Voters.”

We really can’t blame Obama or the Dems in the majority of both the house and the senate.  They are doing exactly as many of us warned the country they would do.  They are moving this country in the absolute wrong direction – towards socialism and a complete government takeover of this country.  If the healthcare bill passes – the government will control 49% of the economy and all GDP.  If they pass the Cap-and-Trade bill next year – the government will control 62% of the economy and all of GDP.

This doesn’t surprise me at all.  Myself and many other bloggers out there were constantly sounding the alarm on Obama before the election and warned of the dangers of allowing the Dems a supermajority.  But – we were called nutjobs, idiots, and talk radio zombies by the left and those “independents.”  If there is anyone to blame for all of this mess that our country now faces it is because of those idiots who now have buyer’s remorse for voting for Obama.  We warned you guys and now we’re stuck with this bullshit because of dipshits like yourself.

This is politics – there is no middle ground.  You have to take a side in politics.  It is either Yes or No.  A vote of “present” or “abstain” is not a vote.  Either you consider yourself liberal and vote for liberalism – or you are a conservative and you vote for conservatism, or you are libertarian and vote out government all together.  You idiots in the middle are the problem in this country.  At least we know what liberals, libertarians, and conservatives stand for.  You guys in the middle stand for nothing.  You guys in the middle are weak and non-committal.  What we see now is the result of standing in the middle of the road.  Our economy is trashed because of Obama and the Democrats, our housing market is trashed because of liberal policies, and now health care in this country will be trashed because of liberalism – and the only one’s to blame are you independent boneheads who voted for Obama even after you were warned constantly and consistently by those of us on the right.

This entire health care “crisis” is manufactured.  There is NO health care crisis in this country.  90% of this country has insurance (270 million – that is the total population 300 Mil less the 30 mil uninsured).  Of the 30 million uninsured – 10 million are already eligible for some form of coverage, either medicaid, medicare, or schip – they just haven’t applied.  Another 8 million are between the ages of 18 – 30 that CHOOSE not to buy insurance, and another 2 million make $75k or above and CHOOSE not to purchase insurance.  What this leaves is 10 million in the million who want insurance but either can’t afford it or don’t qualify for the other programs.  This means that effectively 97% of this country either has insurance or choose not to buy insurance.  Of the 90% who do have insurance – 85% are satisfied with their insurance.  So – essentially – only 18% (15% unhappy with their coverage plus the remaining 3% who can’t get insurance) of this entire country has a problem with our current system.  So, what this means is that the catalyst behind this so called health insurance crisis in this country is the result of 54 million people out of 300 million.  That, my friends, does not constitute a crisis serious enough to warrant a complete government takeover of our health care and our country.  If this were truly a health care reform bill meant to drive down the costs of health care – WE WOULDN’T NEED INSURANCE!!!!

You independent idiots bought in to the lies and now the rest of the country suffers because of your idiocy.  Thanks for nothing!  Now – go grow some balls and pick a side and stay with it.

American taxpayers getting scalped!

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: America, Congress, Democrats, Politics, government

Well – it looks like the Obama administration is planning on paying out $3.5 Billion in taxpayer money to the native American indians. Apparently, there was a class action lawsuit filed in 1996 stating that

“the government mismanaged billions of dollars in oil, gas, grazing, timber and other royalties overseen by the Interior for Indian trustees since 1887″

Umm…so freakin’ what? If that is the case, then where the hell is MY money?  Where the hell is the money owed to the rest of the taxpaying citizenry of this country?  The federal government has been mismanaging our tax dollars forever.

I don’t really give a shit that the freakin’ native Indians feel the administration has mismanaged their funds.  Fuck you all.  I’m sick and tired of paying for shit that happened hundreds of years ago in this country.  That is all that this is – this is just as Van Jones requested – “Give them the money” when referring to the Indians and indiscretions that happened 400 hundred freakin years ago!

If Congress authorizes this payment – this is setting a precedent for the rest of the country.  If the native American Indians have a claim for money based on federal government mismanagement of funds – then that means that every tax payer in this country also has a claim against this government.  We have been paying $billions in to Medicare and Social Security for 40+ years and both will be insolvent within 10 – 15 years.  Paying out money for unemployment, welfare, Medicaid, and any other social charity is a gross mismanagement of our tax dollars. Paying out grants for scientists to study alcoholism in Brazilian prostitutes is a gross mismanagement of our money.  Paying $22.6 million to global warming terrorists to perpetrate a hoax on the world is a gross mismanagement of our money.  Every damned wasteful earmark and spending package in the history of this country has been a mismanagement of our funds!

PUTTING THIS COUNTRY $1.4 TRILLION IN DEBT AND RAISING THE CEILING TO $1.8 TRILLION is a gross mismanagement of our funds!

If the Indians get their money by scalping the white man once again – then – fuck you all – I want my money back too!
