Global Warmonger Believers are idiots!

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: Eco-terrorists, Global warmongering, Politics, Socialism, globalization

Hey – you – the bonehead that STILL believes in anthropogenic global warming – (oh..sorry..forgot..you guys don’t understand that kind of language, obviously) man-made global warming.  In case you haven’t heard – CLIMATEGATE! Get it!  6,000+ e-mails were leaked from the East Anglia Climate Research Unit – some dated just a few months ago – that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that AGW is a hoax.  It proves beyond a shadow of doubt that they manipulated the data and fooled the U.N. IPCC and you boneheads.  It proves beyond a shadow of doubt they hijacked the peer review system and buried valid studies that disputed AGW.

Before you start spewing your idiotic “facts” and “observations” in order to counter anything I said – THINK!!!!!  You boneheads keep using that faked data above in order to continue to “prove your point.”  Apparently, you don’t get it.  YOU WERE USED dipshit and every piece of information you use right now to try to say AGW is real – IS FAKE! You don’t have an argument and any statistic or other information you try to use is now completely suspect.

In case you don’t understand this  – THEY THREW AWAY THE ORIGINAL RAW DATA!  The first and main tenet of scientific research is YOU ALWAYS KEEP THE DATA.  The reason being is so that others can reproduce the results.  If the results cannot be reproduced, the results and entire study are considered invalid.  So – here’s the deal – since the data has been discarded and now no scientist on this planet can reproduce the results – they have effectively invalidated every study they ever conducted and published in the last three decades using that data.  NO REAL SCIENTISTS EVER THROW AWAY THE ORIGINAL DATA!  The only scientists who do such a thing are those who are trying to hide or cover something up.

Stop trying to throw your bullshit statistics at me to try to say AGW is real.  Your statistics are not real.  It’s about time you wake up and realize you no longer have an argument.  Most everything in Al Gore’s movie was already debunked (including that idiotic hockey stick graph) and now – everything that wasn’t debunked before – it IS now based on those e-mails.  And – if none of this is enough for you – let’s hear it from an AGW believer about JUST HOW BAD THEIR DATA REALLY IS!!!

I found this over at Hot Air.  Listen carefully, global warmongerers – your arguments have come completely unraveled.  Stop pushing your socialist wealth redistribution agenda on the rest of the world – we’re not buying it – and more and more are waking up to your lies.

UPDATE – For some more REAL facts – go check out Edisto Joe and this post.  Don’t listen to the lies any more.  You are just useful idiots to those on the left with a socialist agenda.

The BoBo Carnival of Politics – June 28, 2009 Edition

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: America, BoBo, Carnival, Congress, Conservative, Education, Elections, Iran, Israel, Liberals, Obama, Politics, Public School System, Russia, School, globalization, government, libertarian, marxism

Quite the week we’ve had so far! Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, and now Billy Mays all dead.  Unfreakin’ believable!  I wish piece of shit crap and tax bill would have died as well!  Anyway – after a two week hiatus – The BoBo Carnival of Politics is back with another great edition.  Have at it people!

Conservative

The Smarter Wallet presents Dave Ramsey’s Town Hall For Hope posted at The Smarter Wallet, saying, “How does Dave Ramsey explain the financial crisis?”

You’ll see below in response to your credit card discussion that I mentioned I already paid off a few cards and have one left before I’m out of debt.  I went through the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University.  Dave Ramsey is awesome and what you have on your blog is absolutey right.  Once again, great post using a great resource.  I highly recommend it to anybody to view his Town Hall video and his Financial Peace University – especially in today’s economy.

Michael Bass presents Joe Tegerdine VS Gene Taylor! The Battle For Mississippi’s 4th Congressional District! posted at Debt Prison, saying, “Every now and then a person runs for office that gives us hope. For many voters in the last election Barack Obama was that person. Obama promised ambiguous ‘Change’ and the people bought it. Unfortunately, for many Obama fans and devout Democrats, his foreign policy actions and his further crack down on civil liberties has come to resemble something like George Bush part II.”

Interesting – hopefully, Tegerdine turns out to be a true conservative then maybe he can defeat that faux Democratic Conservative Taylor.

lsm presents Teddy?s Legacy Will Kill Us All posted at awaken the elephants blog.

LSM – excellent.  I have nothing further to add to this.

Scott Spiegel presents U.S. Invents Diabolical Weapon Called “Twitter” to Bring Down Iranian Regime posted at Scott Spiegel, saying, “President Obama said last week that he doesn’t want the U.S. to be seen as “meddling” in the recent Iranian presidential election. In his view, vocally supporting the protesters is comparable to the CIA’s coup against Mossadeq in 1953.”

Amen, brother!  We should be standing behind the Iranian citizens with the full faith and trust of our government and our own citizens.  Obama is wrong on this one.

Liberal

Madeleine Begun Kane presents Don’t Ask. Don’t Tell. Just Sign! posted at Mad Kane’s Political Madness.

Mad Kane – I’m sure I don’t need to say this – personally – I think this needs to be repealed entirely and have it back to what it was before Clinton instituted the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy.  The UCMJ states that sodomy is a punishable offense as is any other forms of homosexual relations.  We don’t need gays OPENLY serving in the military.  This would be a huge bust for the morale of our military.  I’m sorry – but – the military is by no means ready for this and it would not be accepted.

Libertarian

Wenchypoo presents Just When You Thought You Ran Out of Hope posted at Wisdom From Wenchypoo’s Mental Wastebasket.

Bwahaha – Liberty Lentils – good one.

Miscellaneous

Bob Brooks presents Wall Street Execs Living Large While the Rest of the Country Hurts posted at Bob Brooks – Prudent Money Blog.

Don’t forget – Timothy “Turbo Tax” Geithner is a Goldman Sachs alumni himself and still has buddies there.  Nothing will be done.  Just more paybacks from this administration for these company’s providing material support for Obama.

Mikkal Travvis presents Ron Paul And The Federal Reserve posted at The Truth.

I don’t generally tend to side with Ron Paul on many issues.  I think he’s a nutjob with a lot of his positions.  However, I support him 100% with regards to doing away with the Federal Reserve and having them open their books.  The decision in the 30’s to hand over that much power to a private organization was by far one of the most idiotic things this country and our government has ever done.  It’s time to take that power away from them.

News

Terri Choate presents Trickle Down Learning posted at Plum Duff…not your ordinary gruel!, saying, “Maybe this is old news…but school districts regularly understate the money spent per pupil as they ask for more, more, more.”

Great article.  Public schools happens to be one of my “soap-box” issues.  While I don’t know what the per pupil cost is in my district – we have multiple layers of administration that are totally unnecessary.  Since when does a High School and Middle School need a freakin Assistant Principle for each grade and each of them having a secretary, etc etc – not to mention each grade having at least 2 “administrators” that handle discipline.  It’s gotten so ridiculous that most of our tax money goes to paying salaries instead of purchasing text books.  I sent four kids through public school.  2 graduated and 2 dropped out.  I’m sending my last 2 to private schools now.

Bradley Hankins presents Who Is Back? posted at Bradley Hankins, saying, “You was wondering when I was going to start up again. Well here I am.”

Welcome Back Bradley – looking forward to your analysis of the various bills.

The Smarter Wallet presents Applying For A Credit Card? Review The Credit Card Bill of Rights posted at The Digerati Life, saying, “Obama just signed into law some regulations that will help curb some of the unpopular practices done by the credit industry. Here’s what’s in the credit card bill of rights, which is under review by our government.”

Great words of advise for those who are thinking about getting a credit card.  I already cut up all mine and have paid them off.  I have one more to go then I’m out of credit card hell.  My advise is – use cash!  If you can’t afford to pay for it in cash – well – then in today’s economy – you really can’t afford it at all then.  Save for it instead.

Politics

Bradley Hankins presents Common Sense Foreign Policy: North Korea posted at Bradley Hankins, saying, “Common sense dealings with North Korea. Even more to come, just one was just too easy.”

You are absolutely right – we should not be looking to the international community to protect ourselves.  That is just plain ridiculous.  Great post.

NAOMI presents NEW AD AGAINST BENEFIT THIEVES posted at Diary From England.

Naomi – I’ll have to admit that I haven’t been paying real close attention to exactly what is going on over on your side of the big pond.  However, I have been following Daniel Hannen pretty closely so I get the point.  Unfortunately, we’re seeing a similar situation here in the U.S. – rather than second homes – our politicians get lifelong benefits and 100% salary after they retire and that even gets passed on to their spouses after they die and then the spouses collect 100% benefit and salary until they die.  Pretty freakin ridiculous that these politicians consider themselves so elite they can steal from we the people.

Bradley Hankins presents Transparency posted at Bradley Hankins, saying, “Honestly, putting legislation in plain English would help so much.”

Agreed!  However, this administration that promised transparency has given us none at all.

Jake presents Why the World Hates America (Part 1) posted at Global Implications, saying, “Given the negative attitude toward the United States around the world, I am writing a multi-part series on the actions of the US since World War II with the worst consequences. I will post an article every day and should finish the seven-part series on Friday, June 26.”

Jake – I hope you don’t mind but I took the liberty to post the links to the remaining articles.  This is a very interesting analysis.  However, I would say that we still have many more friends and allies than we do enemies.  It seems our only real enemies in the world are radical regimes. Please post up the last remaining parts in next week’s carnival! Personally, regarding Part 5 – I think we need to “unflinchingly” support Israel.  They are our only true ally in the middle east.  Being a former Hebrew Linguist in the Air Force – I understand Israel and the day-to-day struggles they have to face.  They are under constant terrorist attack every day.  They need our support and we should stand behind them all the way.

Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5

Ram Raghavan presents The incorrectness of political correctness posted at ramraghav.com, saying, “What is political correctness? What is its cause and its consequence?”

Ram – you are so totally right on with this post.  The only thing I would add here is that the history of Political Correctness actually has its roots in marxism and Russia.  Here’s another good resource for you on the history.

That concludes this edition. Submit your blog article to the next edition of the bobo carnival of politics using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.

The BoBo Carnival of Politics – June 14, 2009 Edition

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: A Nation at Risk, America, BoBo, Carnival, Children, China, Congress, Conservative, Constitution, Democrats, Education, Elections, Hispanic-Americans, Humor, Illegal immigrants, Liberals, Mexicans, Obama, Olympics, Palin, Politics, President, RINO, Russia, School, Socialism, The Education Crisis, communism, globalization, government, pork

Hi All – we’ve got a lot of great submissions this week!  I hope you get a chance to get through them all.  Before we get this thing started – I gotta say this – GO PENGUINS!!!!!!  For you Red Wing fans – so sorry – too bad! Bwahahahaha!  Also I wanted to point out there will not be a Carnival next Sunday – it’s Father’s Day and I plan on spending the whole day with the kids.  However, you can still put in submissions for the following week – June 28, 2009 Edition!

Conservative

John Kaduk presents Chicago’s Summer Games: Murder posted at The Right Wing.

Great stats John.  It’s very interesting that we don’t hear that in the MSM – 509 murders a year in Chicago compared to 314 soldiers killed in Iraq.  I don’t think they’ll get the Olympics either.

lsm presents Russia Warns Us. posted at awaken the elephants blog.

Thanks LSM for breaking this down for us.  I touched upon this briefly last week – but – you’ve done a great job of covering the entire report out of Pravda.  Imagine – a formerly Communist nation telling America how to be Capitalist and warning us we’re on the path to Socialism.  Well – I hope no one out there is surprised considering bloggers like myself and you tried to warn America BEFORE the election!

Eric Gargiulo presents Don’t Apologize For Me Mr. President! posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, “President Obama has elevated the art of national self-loathing to new heights, and seems to delight in prostrating the most powerful nation on the face of the earth before its critics and rivals, especially on foreign soil. The Obama worldview revolves around the central premise that the United States must be humble and “engage” and work with its enemies through the application of “smart power”.”

Eric – my sentiments exactly!  Nicely put.

Selkirk presents Shocker: The Left Distorts the Truth to Justify Health Care Bill posted at Political Castaway Blog: Broadcasting Conservatism to Rescue America.

Selkirk – thanks for submitting this and doing some background research.  In addition to the lies perpetrated regarding bankruptcies – I also want to point out the myth behind the 47 Million without insurance.  First – they never mentioned that as of 2007 the U.S. Census Bureau has actually adjusted it to 45 Million.  Sure, that seems like a lot – but – you actually have to look at the real numbers.

17.8 Million make $50,000+ income/year.  They can afford their own healthcare, they just choose not to buy it – which to me is irresponsible.

8.6 Million are under the age of 18 – they qualify for Medicaid, SCHIP, or what is called a Share of Cost coverage based on a sliding scale of parents’ total income.  Their parents just have not applied for it – which is irresponsible.

550,000 are age 65+ and are eligible for Medicare – again – they just need to apply.

10 Million are not U.S. citizens – they aren’t eligible for any government insurance assistance anyway.

When you break it down – we really only have 35 Million Americans that are uninsured and out of that – 27 Million could really be covered – but, due to their own irresponsibility – are not insured.  What this leaves is 8 million without coverage that would require assistance.  Another interesting statistic is that out of the total 45 million uninsured – 35 Million are White.  The government tries to say that there is a racial disparity and that it is mostly minorities that are uninsured and we need to help them.  Bullshit!  Here’s the source for all these numbers – straight from the U.S. Census Bureau – don’t take my word for it – you guys are smart enough to read through these numbers yourselves.  This is a huge con job on America to push nationalized healthcare because they don’t think we’ll actually look at the real numbers:

http://www.census.gov/hhes/www/hlthins/hlthin06/p60no233_table6.pdf

Garrett Oden presents 10 Most Common Arguments for Abortion « Forever Christian posted at Forever Christian, saying, “My personal thoughts on abortion with some fact mixed in. The addition of my short article would be beneficial to your carnival! Thanks =D”

Garrett – thanks for this submission.  I don’t buy their arguments either!  You’ve done a great job of dispelling each one of them.

Michael Bass presents Is Haley Barbour running for President? posted at South Mississippi Campaign For Liberty, saying, “His recent veto of eminent domain abuse here in Mississippi should give Republicans a good reason to pause and examine his legislative record carefully.”

Well – if he is – he’s in good company with Barack Obama supporters then!  Thanks for bringing this to the forefront.  Hopefully, the RNC will be smart enough to know that real Republicans and Conservatives do not support lefty RINO’s.

Silicon Valley Blogger presents Stock Market Predictions From Bad News Bears posted at The Digerati Life, saying, “What are the economic pundits telling us now?”

Digerati – I like the varying “experts” you provided for detailing the various “opinions” out there.  I have to agree with you – there is nothing better than doing your own research and data gathering before you make a decision.  Additionally, the reasons why people invest are varying and personal.  Some are risk-takers and others are conservative – and everyone in between.  It still all boils down to what your investment goals are.  The market has always been a risk-reward system.  The greater the risk – the potential for great rewards – but – with that also comes the potential for great loss.  You’re right – the truth is somewhere in between and we ultimately need to decide for ourselves what is right for us.  You’ve provided some great information for helping to make those decisions.

The Smarter Wallet presents Can A Housing Assistance Program Prevent Foreclosure? posted at The Smarter Wallet, saying, “Thanks!”

I don’t have anything to add to this – as I don’t have any personal knowledge or experience.  What I can say is that you have once again provided some very valuable information to our readers.  Hopefully, if we have anybody out there reading this that falls in this unfortunate situation – they will come to your blog and find the information they need to get out of the rut.

Liberal

Madeleine Begun Kane presents Liz Cheney’s Song posted at Mad Kane’s Political Madness.

Interesting – but – who really cares about Liz Cheney and what she is saying?  NO real Conservative or political junky pays any attention to her anyway.

Fortuitous Observer presents Walking Contradictions posted at Soul Thumping, saying, “Seeing humor in politics”

While I can see why you find humor in what you think are contradictions – it just goes to show how out of touch Liberals are with Conservatives.  The fact of the matter is that Conservatives are indeed great activists for personal liberty and freedom.  It makes perfect sense that a conservative supporter of Palin would also be in support of free Tibetans.  But – I will have to give you the one regarding the Greatful Dead.  Never did like their music in the first place – very over rated.

The problem is that Liberals only tend to hang out with other Liberals and only read Liberal blogs and watch the Liberal news media.  You guys are so boxed in you don’t see the real world for what it is.  Before you decided to go off on me – this comes from a study straight out of Ohio State. Conservatives are actually more open-minded and greater supporters of Liberty and Freedom than Liberals.  We believe the way to personal freedom is personal responsibility – not government interference.

And..I guess you have never heard of the term “South Park Conservatives.”  There are those of us out here that are very Conservative – but – open minded enough to enjoy themselves and not take things too seriously.

Miscellaneous

C. E. Dowalt presents President Obama: Groveler in Chief, Dhimi Version posted at Money Confidential.

C.E. – it appears there is something wrong with your blog.  I got an error message from your host stating it is unavailable and for you to contact them as soon as possible.  There is a phone number there for you to call them.  I hope you get this back up again soon.  I’d really like to read your posts. Let me know when you’re back up and running again.

Mar Matthias Darin presents Obama Indicted by Two Hundred Member Grand Jury posted at The Matthias Chronicles, saying, “Forget the seat belt, we’re going to need battle armor soon… This is going to be one wicked roller coaster ride!”

Mar Matthias – I hope one of my commentors – Orchid – comes back again to see this.  That commentor thinks this is all about racism.  When 200 jurors from 8 Grand Juries hand down indictments around this country requesting the birth certificate be presented as he may be usurping power and became the President illegally – I would say that is significant evidence that this issue is gaining steam around the country.  If he really were an American citizen – why is he spending so much money ($1 million) in legal fees to battle it?  Thanks for posting this up!

Sarah Scrafford presents 100 Open Courses to Learn More About the Middle East posted at Rated Colleges.

Nice list Sarah.  Given that the President recently called the U.S. a Muslim Nation – I think people should get to understand just what that means.

C. E. Dowalt presents Checkmate in Asia posted at Money Confidential.

See above.

J.D. Bell presents Barack Tells Congress To Get Off Their Pork-Filled Butts posted at It Takes Work, saying, “Mr. Obama is getting a little impatient with his Legislative backup singers.”

First – I see where you’re going with this J.D. – and I can support some of your points.  However, you’ll see that I provided some statistics in this carnival regarding the so-called “uninsured.”  That’s a scam.  Regarding healthcare costs being way to high – that’s not entirely true either.  You have to look at what is driving up healthcare costs – one of the largest portions of that being out of control lawsuits.  If you want to bring the cost of healthcare down – there needs to be tort reform first.  Hospitals and physicians have to carry multi-million dollar policies as a result – these costs are passed down to patients.  Additionally, built in to these costs are technology.  As technology becomes more widely used – the costs come down.  But, overall – the greatest cost to our healthcare system are illegal immigrants.  They are costing us billions of dollars each year.  Their care falls under what is termed “indigent care.”  They are uninsured and as a result of EMTALA – cannot be turned away because they are illegal.  These costs to care for illegals are passed down to everyone else – which makes the cost of healthcare increase significantly.

As for quality of healthcare – not sure how you come to the conclusion it is “wayyy too low.”  I have been involved in the healthcare industry in every aspect of it for over 18 years.  I have seen the improvements in quality.  The quality of our healthcare is superior compared to the rest of the world.  We are number 1 in quality of care – it is for this reason that many foreignors come to this country for their health care needs.  You didn’t provide any evidence.

We don’t need the kind of healthcare reform that Obama and the Dems are pushing.  What we need is for our government to enforce the laws already in place to bring costs down and to implement tort reform.  Great discussion though!

News

Archvillain presents Rumors of War posted at A Dark and Sinister Force for Good, saying, “War is bad for business. Let’s hope China thinks so, too.”

Thanks for the history lesson Archvillain.  I always learn something new from your posts.  As with you, I hope China truly understands the threat from N. Korea and will do something about it.  Given the way we’re all tied in economically around this globe – a war could truly be devastating for us all.

James J. Gormley presents One flu over the cuckoo’s nest? Phony Swine Flu products are dangerous posted at The Gormley Files, saying, “Swine flu swindlers take consumers for a ride.”

James – thanks for bringing this up.  At this time – there is not even an effective vaccination for the Swine Flu.  They are still in the experimental stages. If there is no vaccination – there certainly are no “supplements” or dietary treatments or products out there either.

Politics

Phil B. presents The Fall of China « Phil for Humanity posted at Phil for Humanity, saying, “Some guesses on how China could collapse.”

Phil – this was a very interesting read.  Personally, I see China coming out ahead for decades to come – they are becoming what the U.S. used to be because they have a very strong Capitalist economy.  Not only that – but – they are buying up the world’s supply of gold, natural gas, oil, copper, silver, and other industrial metals.  They are positioning themselves to be the next true superpower.  I do agree with you that them doing a large portion of business in the U.S. at this time could be harmful to them.  Overall – great article.

B. Forrest presents Let’s get stimulated! posted at Pay Attention Moron.

Excellent Econ 101 lesson.  Unfortunately, it seems that only Conservatives really understand this.  I keep coming across too many Obama sheeple that actually believe this idiotic stimulus plan will work despite the very real and apparent evidence that proves otherwise.  They’re willing to buy the line that it’s all Bush’s fault.  I’m just wondering at what point they will finally wake up and see that this was caused by liberal policies and Obama is just continuing the economic destruction of this great country with these foolish whims of his.

Isabel Rodríguez presents Please, pay more money to children who want to stay at school posted at Trying to keep an open mind and an open heart, saying, “I live in Mexico and in this country, it is not unusual to see children working, who do not attend school. In fact, you see them EVERYWHERE. You see them in street corners, cleaning windshields or selling candies. You see them cleaning houses. You see them in car repair shops. You see them in an unlimited number of places. What to do about it?”

Isabel – Thank you so much for this submission.  I hope there are some readers out there that see this and understand what an education means for our children through the example you have provided us.  The only labor that children should be engaged in IS school!  Unfortunately, here in the U.S. – many parents are no longer teaching their children that education is the basis for success and we have a crisis of our own here – we have a national dropout rate of 4.7% with some states having as much as 10%.

I think the program in Mexico is a great start – but – considering the economic turmoil you guys are facing – I can see why many parents are forcing their children in to day labor instead of education.  I don’t have an answer for you either – except – you guys have a lot of corruption in your government.  Until your political elite stop catering to the drug cartels – I don’t see the economy ever turning around in Mexico to sustain a permanent education system that will keep kids in school there.

Terri Choate presents Here’s to Holes in Water posted at Plum Duff…not your ordinary gruel!.

“Holes in Water” – I like that analogy!  This is a great post.  The era of Calvin Cooledge is practically dead, unfortunately.  It amazes me that too many people these days are looking to the government to solve their problems rather than doing the responsible thing and being independent.  Being a Public Health scholar right now – I have learned that the vast majority of all of the illnesses in this country are the direct result of risky behavior (as you pointed out).  While you named a few examples – risky behavior actually encompasses a very wide variety of activities.  What it all boils down to is acting responsibly and taking responsibility for your actions – which seems a foreign concept today.  Great article.

Bob Brooks presents Another Story of Possible Government Corruption That Goes Under-reported posted at Bob Brooks – Prudent Money Blog.

Hmmm…never even heard this story in the media anywhere.  Obama just seems to surround himself with corrupt people doesn’t he?  It doesn’t surprise me at all that Geithner is involved in this.  More political payback!  Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Super Saver presents Next Generation Bailout Acronyms posted at My Wealth Builder.

Bwahahaha! Tackling a serious issue through humor.  Love those acronyms!  But, unfortunately, the detail you provided is probably spot on!

That concludes this edition. Submit your blog article to the next edition of The BoBo Carnival of Politics using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.

The BoBo Carnival of Politics – April 11, 2009 Edition

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: BoBo, Carnival, China, Christian, Congress, Conservative, Constitution, Democrats, Iran, Liberals, Middle-class, Obama, Politics, President, Religion, Republicans, School, Socialism, US Constitution, blogs, globalization, government, libertarian, making money

Hey All – welcome to the early edition of the Carnival – I’ll be taking off tomorrow.  Also – as a little reminder – I’ll be on Steve Parry’s webcast this evening from 9:10 – 9:25pm EST.  You can catch that here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/TheAxisOfStevil/2009/04/12/The-Real-Deal

So – here is this week’s carnival – and I hope you all have a very happy Easter tomorrow.

Conservative

Silicon Valley Blogger presents Who’s To Blame For The Subprime Mortgage Mess posted at The Digerati Life, saying, “Thanks!”

Victimless crime?  Mheh.  Personally, I think all of those you mentioned are to blame, including the homebuyer.  The victims here were the entire economy.  I also like  your suggestions there – spot on.

The Smarter Wallet presents Solving The U.S. Financial Crisis, One Financial Bailout At A Time posted at The Smarter Wallet, saying, “Thanks!”

I actually support the bonuses.  Not that I’m happy about it since it was on taxpayer dollars – but – they were contractually obligated and the government knew about it up front.  I’m just wondering why there was no outrage at the Fannie/Freddie bonuses that were given out for $216 Million – higher than the AIG bonus amounts. If the government had been doing their jobs up front with these TARP funds – there wouldn’t have been any bonuses.

Michael Haltman presents North Korea Follows Through: Now What? posted at The Political and Financial Markets Commentator, saying, “The Obama Administration Has Faced Its First Test And Failed”

I have been talking about this announced North Korean missile test ad infinitum, and it has now taken place. The North Koreans, in the face of international demands not to fire this missile test/satellite, have done it anyway…”

I believe this is just one test among many that Biden was talking about.  You are absolutely right – Obama failed – especially by pointing to the U.N. to take care of the situation.  The U.N. is useless.  Newt was right – we should have taken out this missile before it even launched.  Unfortunately, Obama is all talk and rhetoric.  I don’t think he has the balls necessary to protect this country with our military might.

Jon T. presents The Mustang Ride: Danger! Bridge Out! posted at The Mustang Ride, saying, “I ended up doing a 6 part series on Danger! Bridge Out! It is political I just had to set up the storyline to get there. I hope that you enjoy it. Thanks. Jon T.”

Thanks Jon – I’ll let this one by to see where it goes from here.  Looking forward to the next submission.  I can potentially see where this might lead down the road to a political discussion – but – it’s not quite there yet.

lsm presents The Audacity of North Korea. posted at awaken the elephants blog.

There are a couple other submissions this week regarding this same subject.  You have added some additional details and made some very valid points.  North Korea and Iran just really don’t give a shit.  They have consistently defied the U.N. (what a freakin’ surprise) and they know that Obama doesn’t have the balls to do anything about it either.  We’re treading in to some dangerous waters now and Obama didn’t bring a life preserver.

Liberal

vjack presents Faith-Based Initiatives and War Crimes: Obama is Failing Miserably posted at Atheist Revolution.

VJack – while I can agree with you regarding the faith-based initiatives – (for the record, while being a Conservative Christian – I am in full agreement with keeping religion out of politics) – I don’t believe that Bush or his administration have committed any war crimes.  That will be a very hard one to prosecute as the President as the Command-in-Chief has very broad powers.  Also, the fact that he was given authority from Congress also points he fingers back at every single Dem who voted Aye on the resolution also has to be found guilty as well.

Also – just one thing – We told you so.  Obama was just fronting during the entire election.

Libertarian

Archvillain presents Liberty Wept posted at A Dark and Sinister Force for Good, saying, “Why are we (the People) allowing our elected officials to destroy our liberties?”

As always, Archvillain – thanks for the great contribution to this carnival.  You hit the nail on the head with this post.  I’m hoping that people are starting to realize this.  It didn’t start with the Bush administration as many would believe.  I think this actually started going all the way back to Woodrow Wilson and each administration after that has just continued to erode our rights little by little.  I think there are more libertarian people in this country than they realize.  I think as people start reading history and really paying attention to politics – more are going to realize they are libertarians and will demand our freedoms back.

Miscellaneous

C. E. Dowalt presents Shoot Down that Missile, Save the Dollar posted at Money Confidential.

I’m not entirely sure Obama will awaken either considering the fact he is toying with the idea of allowing Iran to go forward with their nuclear ambition.  They just had their “grand opening” celebration of their first nuke plant this past week and no one said or did anything.  I believe that Obama is going to be even more dangerous for our national security than was Carter.  Great post.

News

Len Penzo presents Don’t Fall for the Siren’s Song of Socialism posted at Len Penzo . Com, saying, “In a poll conducted this week, Rasmussen Reports found that only 53% of Americans think capitalism is better than socialism. I truly fear for the future of this great country. Here my synopsis of everything wrong with socialism. You can call it the capitalist gospel according to Len.”

Great synopsis.  When I heard that I was absolutely shocked.  I guess the only bright side of it is that 27% said they don’t know.  There actually is only 20% who absolutely say that socialism is better than capitalism.  Perhaps we can convice the other 27% they need to side with free-markets and capitalism.  I’m still apalled that there are 27% that don’t know.

I like the way that you broke those numbers down a little better to represent the over 40 crowd.  You would think those of us in that age bracket would overwhelmingly support capitalism versus socialism.  I think our liberal education system, as with you, as a major reason for this downward turn.  I can appreciate your discussion regarding the reason why socialism should be discouraged.  Good post Len.

Wenchypoo presents Why the Scum Always Seems to Rise to the Top posted at Wisdom From Wenchypoo’s Mental Wastebasket.

Nice post Wenchypoo – there were some of us out here that were awake and have been trying to warn the sleeping Americans before they hit the voting booths.  I’m with you – let’s take it back and hope there are enough Americans out there that have actually woken up.  However, considering on 53% of this country believe capitalism is better than socialism – I’m not so sure right now.

Mark Couturier presents The Deranged Divas of Code Pink (Pt. 1 of 2) posted at Independent-American.

Mark – these are both great posts.  Those Code Pink ladies are dangerous nutjobs indeed.  I have a problem with any member of this society that will spit on our American soldiers.  Their next foret in to economics is a bad idea.  Thanks for keeping us all up to date on this.  Personally, I had not even heard this story.

I am always amazed with your writing and the discussions you post up.  I don’t believe this is crazy talk.  However, if we are going to see a global economic system – I would prefer to see one still based on the dollar.  It appears at this time the globe is moving away from it.  I would also hope that if there is a move to a global economic system – it remain on a democratic versus socialist government controlled system.

Aaron R presents An Immodest Proposal posted at Aaron Rogier, saying, “A bold proposal for changing what it means to evaluate financial risk, given the failure of the current regulatory regime and its predecessors.”

Interesting proposal there Aaron.  While I see where you are going with this – it also seems to stifle the “risk-reward” model of investments if you get the government involved to regulate trade.  I do agree there needs to be some oversight so that such a disaster could not happen again – but – I would suggest moderation as well.  I agree that information is the key.

David Lamb presents How the ARRA Should Have Looked posted at Killer Buffalo.

Well, not only did Obama ignore the CBO, but so did the majority of Congress.  You have laid this out very well.  If only our politicians had listened to reason.  But, since when since the inauguration and appointed of Teh annointed One have any of them listened to reason?

…and that would not be a pretty sight at all!  Is there anybody else out there that is having an extremely hard time trying to keep up with everything that Obama and those Dems are doing up in D.C.?  Every time I come across a news article, see something on the T.V. or hear something on the radio – I get an excellent idea for a blog discussion.  But…no more than 10 minutes later something else comes up..and again and again and again.

I’m almost quite convinced that the White House is throwing all of this out there at one time just to keep our minds so totally boggled that we can’t possibly figure it all out.  When you really start putting it all together it just absolutely makes my head want to explode because I just can’t keep track.  I’m not even going to attempt to put all the links up to this list – because it could take me almost a freakin’ month alone to liste everything that Obama has thrown at us:

$787 Billion Spending Bill completely loaded with pork

$410 Billion Omnibus Bill completely loaded with pork

Secret videotaped messages to the AFL-CIO meeting declaring Congress WILL pass the “Employee Free Choice Act” doing away with secret ballots – a complete erosion of the constitution and violation of our privacy.

Healthcare Reform Summit stating that the debate is settled and there is nothing anybody can do about it – Universal Healthcare is coming to America.

Economic Reform Summit held where the end outcome is that there is not one smart individual in all of D.C. that can figure out that smaller government and lower taxes is the appropriate way to heal this economy.

Hillary Clinton, on behalf of Obama, delivering $900 Million to a terrorist organization so they can rearm themselves to lob more missiles in to Israel – and criticizing Israel while she handed them the check.

Iran is less than one month away from a nuclear bomb and Obama has not said one word about it.

Hillary Clinton, on behalf of Obama, goes to China to beg for money. Essentially, China is propping up this economy right.  We will all be speaking Chinese shortly if they decided to call in our debt.

Obama sends a letter to Russia opening up dialog with them and hinting the U.S. might back down from the missile defense shield (a great sign of weakness).

John Kerry, on behalf of Obama, goes and visits with Asshat Bashir in Syria opening dialogs with another state sponsorer of terrorism.

Obama openly tells our enemies exactly what date we are withdrawing from Iraq – another great sign of weakness and inexperience.

Gordon Brown comes to visit Obama talking about a Global New World Order and it appears Obama is open to this socialist notion and giving up American sovereignty.

Four cabinet nominees are tax cheaters – and one of them actually gets appointed to oversee the very organization he cheated.

Several Anti-gun measures (in direct violation of the 2nd Amendment) being introduced in Congress.

FDIC in threat of going insolvent – you know – the agency that guarantees funds in your bank up to $250,000.00 to the point now they get a $500 Billion bailout.

Honest homeowners all around this country are bailing out other homeowners against their will.

Several Congress persons ready to introduce the Fairness Doctrine again – only they’re gonna call it something else.

Obama introduces proposal for bogus Cap and Trade scheme that would ensure inflation and increased energy prices.

Obama set to increase taxes on the upper-middleclass income earners making more than $250,000 which would effectively shut down small businesses across this country.

Obama set to reduce charitable benefit deductions whereby forcing charities to take money from the government – meaning the government would control which charities should live and which should die.

The government now owns 80% of AIG and 40% of Citi-bank.

Every time Obama opens his mouth the Dow tanks.

Tax cheater Geithner chastises tax cheating individuals and files suit against UBS for “secret” offshore account information.  Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

That racist attorney general calls all Americans cowards because we won’t talk about race!  For crying out loud man – the freakin’ POTUS is black!  Isn’t that enough for you?  Isn’t that proof that we have pretty much broken that barrier?  The only one’s continuing this race issue are black racists like yourself.

Nancy Pelosi takes a trip to Rome and forces Congress to vote on the spending bill without giving them time to read it – then Obama signs it immediately not giving the American people the 5 days he promised us.

No Republicans were allowed to provide input on the spending bill and no republican amendments were allowed – but – they fully expect republicans to vote for it?

The Govenor of Arizona is made the Director of Homeland Security – yet – she couldn’t even protect her own state from the invasion of illegal aliens.  Phoenix, Arizona is the number 2 city in the ENTIRE world for kidnappings – over 400 reported last year – note – that is REPORTED.

The Governor of Kansas has been named as the Director of HHS – this is the same individual who has given free tuition, free healthcare, and amnesty to illegal aliens in her own state.  She also shut down the building of new coal-fueled plants in her state.  If she did it in her state – What do you think will happen to America?

Obama signs an executive order closing GITMO and starts releasing terrorists.

Obama signs an executive order reversing offshore drilling again.

Obama signs an executive order reversing the Mexico City Policy that stated America would not provide funding to foreign countries that have state-sponsored abortion.  Well – now apparently we American taxpayers are now paying for abortions in other countries.

Obama reversed all of the welfare reform policies that Clinton had in place – back to giving free handouts to free-loaders.  We’re back to generational welfare recipients.

Expanded the SCHIP program to include “kids” up to age 25.  Excuse me!  If you are not a full-time student in college – if you are 18 years old – you better be out there looking for a job taking care of yourself and getting your own insurance.  Last time I looked – 25 is not a kid.  I had two kids of my own by the time I was 25.

Obama’s Director of Labor is extremely pro-union and pro-amnesty for illegal aliens.  Do you think we’ll be rounding up illegal aliens and deporting them under an Obama presidency?  Illegal aliens cost this country $80 Billion a year for crying out loud.

Obama’s Director of the EPA is a known socialist and was a leader within the socialist environmental global warming movement.  She was extremely proud of that and even had her profile on the website – until they took it down after she was nominated to the EPA position.  BTW – she’s one of those global warmongerers that also believe the “science is settled” and the “debate is over” despite all the evidence that has come out showing we have been in a cooling state for the last decade.  Where do you think she’s going to lead this country?

His spending bill gives $500 tax rebate to those who don’t pay taxes at all.  Sounds like wealth-redistribution to me – which I believe is a Marxist philosophy – but – oh noes – he ain’t no socialist is he?

Newly AddedThen there’s the Freedom of Choice Act that has been reintroduced that if enacted makes it illegal for medical practitioners to refuse to do abortions on moral grounds and also makes it illegal for pharmacists to refuse to dispense Plan-B and birth control pills on moral grounds.  This would be an assault on their First Amendment rights to Freedom of Religion.  Additionally, the Hippocratic oath taken by physicians say they will do no harm.  Some physicians view abortion as doing harm.  This essentially will cause the 600+ Catholic hospitals around this country to be shut down.

Good lord people!  And those are just the stories that are coming off the top of my head that I KNOW of!!!  How can one man do so much damage in less than 60 days?  There wasn’t this much freakin’ activity in the whole 8 years Bush was in office!!!  There are a helluva lot more stories out there that I have forgotten about and I’m sure there are even more that I don’t KNOW about – with much much more to come given we still have 3 Years and 10 months to go in this first term.

Is it any wonder this economy is tanking?  Individually, these all seem harmful in their own right.  But – collectively – my God people – look at all of this!!!  For those of you on the left that think Obama is not a socialist – just look at all the stories.  Every one of them lead us down that path.  You guys on the left who so cherish your liberties are about to get a very rude awakening.  All of Obama’s policies thus far lead to more government intrusion of your privacy and giving you less control of your own decisions.  Where is the ACLU on this?  Perhaps they haven’t fully understood it yet either.

Come on people – wake up!  WE ALL heard these stories throughout the past 2 months – but – have you ever seen them all just listed out yet?  Where do you think all of these stories and the actions of Obama and his administration are leading us?  If you can think of some stories that I forgot or don’t know about – please post them here in the comments – I’ll drag them up in to the main discussion for all to see and ponder.

Happy belated Valentine’s day everyone.  I hope you all had a great day yesterday!  So sorry for the late posting on this.  I had an unbelievable amount of submissions this past week.  It took a long time to get through them.  I hope you enjoy them all as much as I did.

Selkirk presents Question of the Week: President Obama’s Honeymoon Over So Soon? posted at Political Castaway Blog: Broadcasting Conservatism to Rescue America, saying, “Political Castaway answers a reader’s question as part of its its weekly feature. This week’s question focuses on an assessment of the honeymoon period of the Obama Presidency.”

Between your response, Pitcairn’s response, and Hytholoday’s response to the question – I have very little to add.  I say you all hit the main points.  But, given the way the MSM completely glossed over this pork filled bill and did not hold Obama or Congress’s feet to the fire on it – I would say their lovefest with Obama is still going on.

Michael Haltman presents Cheerleader In Chief – Or Not? [del.icio.us] posted at The Political and Financial Markets Commentator, saying, “Nobody is looking for the President to get up in front of the country and spin the current crisis into a peaches and cream scenario. What we do look for, or at least I look for, is some semblance of hope that the administration is on track to address and solve the problem.”

Hey Michael – Obama is taking his plays directly out of FDR’s playbook of putting fear the in the people and telling them the only way to fix it is to turn to the government for help.  He’s a socialist through and through and is advancing the agenda of big government by pointing the fingers at capitalism and big business.  Regarding Geithner – we saw how Wall Street reacted to his bogus plan.  Obama’s mistake there was letting a cheat takeover and try to tell the rest of the cheats how to run their businesses!

Selkirk presents Question of the Week: After Stimulus, What’s Next? posted at Political Castaway Blog: Broadcasting Conservatism to Rescue America.

Ummm…socialism!  Well, I simplified it – but – I think you guys nailed it all!  Where have you been before now?  I really enjoy reading your take on the current issues.  Great post again! I’ve read all the other posts that follow this one – and – rather than comment on each of the other ones individually – I’ll just say – for all my readers – please do go check out the rest of these yourself.  These guys are really spot on with their assessments (well, if you lean Conservative or Libertarian that is).  You guys must drive the lefties as loonies as I do!

Miscellaneous

nickel presents $15,000 Homebuyer Tax Credit posted at fivecentnickel.com.

Welcome, Nickel – just out of curiousity – just how is that tax credit applied?  Most homebuyers pay their taxes through escrow and when you buy a home – you only pay the outstanding amount of property taxes through the rest of the year.  The actual purchase of the home isn’t taxed – at least here in Florida its not – you only pay property taxes.  If the purchase price of a house was taxed at local rates – who the hell could ever afford to buy a home?  Any down payment made would only be paying for the sales tax.  For example – a $300,000 home taxed at our local 7% rate would be $21,000.  So – do you know exactly how this tax credit is applied?  My annual property taxes are $2,200.  Would that credit be extended over a 4 year period?  Does the Federal Government give that tax money to the cities and counties then if it’s not coming from the homebuyer?

American Packet presents Dems Must Be Absolutely Plastered on Absolute Power posted at American Packet.

Welcome to the Carnival Packet – you are so right on track here!  Sure, the Dems may be out of their minds crazy with power – and I believe you appropriately pointed out the hypocrisy of the Republicans.  Those freakin’ idiots passed that TARP unquestioningly – and now they grow a pair?  Great post.  I hope you come back again with another great submission like this.

lsm presents A Fork in a Very Dark Road. posted at awaken the elephants blog.

“Which path will we choose?” – Well, I believe the good news is that there are many more Americans now opposing these policies of Congress and Obama (based on the outcry from this stimulus package) and that more and more people are starting to wake up and pay attention.  The politicians have been keeping Americans divided and the idiot box and American Idol have been keeping them pacified.  Unfortunately, the path I see is taking is leading either to another civil war or a complete revolution.  I see some good days coming again in the future, but, we the people are going to have to go to battle against our own government to get there.  My hopes are that enough people get to the ballot box on 2010 and vote all those idiots out this time around which will avoid the revolution.  Time will tell.

Michael Haltman presents Tim Geithner Speaks posted at The Political and Financial Markets Commentator, saying, “I Heard A Lot Of Noise, But I Didn’t Hear Anything

I just listened to the Geithner speech, and to tell you the truth I did not hear anything along the lines of firm direction, but to be honest it sounded like more of the same.”

Bwahahaha!  That’s what I got out of it also!  Blah blah blah, we’re not calling it TARP anymore, blah blah blah, but we’re going to do the same thing that we proposed to do in the first place blahdity blah blah.

Sarah Scrafford presents The Ultimate Guide to the Ultimate Blackberry (Obama’s) posted at Masters in Criminal Justice.

Howdy again Sarah.  The only real thing that I like about Obama is his ability to utilize today’s technology in a very cogent and effective manner.  I would say that his ability to grasp today’s technology is really what helped him to win this election.  However, regarding his use of a Blackberry – I only see some major problems coming down the road.  While I did take note of the points you made regarding the security of his blackberry – the fact that hackers can still get in to the Pentagon computers and other government computers – I have no doubt that they will eventuall get in to his blackberry.  This is a very dangerous tool for him to be using as the President.  I think he needs to give this up for at least the next 4 years.

Madeleine Begun Kane presents Hey Republicans, Go Filibuster Yourselves! posted at Mad Kane’s Political Madness.

Surely, Mad Kane, you must see just how dangerous this stimulus bill is?  Neat little poem – but – I wish the Dems would call their “bluff.”  I believe this time the Repubs would actually have gone through with it given the fact that every nobel winning, nobel laureate, and well respected economist in this country said this bill is doomed to fail and will cause this country more harm than good.  Whether the Repubs did it for political gain or not – standing against this bill was the right thing to do for this country and for the people.

steven germain presents “There Is No Such Thing As Raw, Analloyed, Agendaless Kindness” – David Foster Wallace posted at Rough Fractals, saying, “I hope you will consider posting this, thank you.”

Amen, Steven!  You are absolutely correct in that a stimulus package should be based on only measures that would actually stimulate the economy – including the infrastructure projects.  Obama was able to claim there were no earmarks in this bill because there was no one identified specifically that would receive any of the money.  Sure, that is one way to get around saying that giving money specifically to the city of San Francisco for saving a swamp rat isn’t an earmark because Nancy Pelosi wasn’t specifically identified as the benefactor – but -we all know its an earmark.  The problem is as you identified – there is no one identified in the bill as the “banker” to control how the money is spent or who will be responsible for overseeing that spending to make sure it goes only for waht it was intended.  Great post.

Nayano Taylor-Neumann presents Who will take Australian refugees? posted at A possie in Aussie.

Hi Nayano – my sympathies go out to you Aussies in the wake of that horrible firestorm you had going on over there.  But, climate change refugees?  Pretty funny.  It’s being reported over here that the fires were started due to arsons and they have been caught.  I don’t see how this is related to “climate change” myself.  Besides – we know that “climate change” is just another made up term so they don’t have to say “global warming” and embarass themselves given the fact that the science has proven we’ve been in a 7 year cooling period.

News

The Smarter Wallet presents Will The Obama Economic Stimulus Check and 2009 Stimulus Plan Save The Economy? posted at The Smarter Wallet, saying, “Thanks!”

Well, the I certainly believe the points you indicated in your discussion will probably help stimulate the economy in a relatively minor way – except for the fact the CBO states that very little of that money will be spent within the first year.  The problem with the stimulus package in its current form is that only 38% of it is actually stimulus.  The remaining is all pork-barrel spending.  Good post!

Piotr Stepien presents Be Mass Media Free posted at we overstep, saying, “Improve your awareness and mental health. Stop addiction to news, television shows and any low level mass media. Be mass media free and turn your time into something productive.”

Howdy Piotr – there have been many studies out there that absolutely prove beyond a shadow of doubt that the amount of hours a kid spends in front of the TV is directly proportional to their grades and knowledge.  However, there has also been a revolution with TV these days compared to when we were kids.  There are now educational channels on TV that I find very fascinating and I have learned much from them and I encourage my kids to watch them as well – Discovery Network, Science Channel, National Geographic Channel, Sprout TV, etc.  Sure, we might be getting information from the boob tube – but – at least it is more educational than watching American Idol and all those other stupid reality shows.  However, I still feel it is better to get your education through reading and hands on experience.  When you read you improve your comprehension and you have to use the little pictures in your mind to get to an understanding.  It helps to improve creativity as well.  I’m with ya on this one!

Silicon Valley Blogger presents 2009 Economic Stimulus Package: Obama’s Plan For Your Money? Tax Cuts and Spending posted at The Digerati Life, saying, “Thanks!”

“My Biggest Concerns: if you look at the charts above, it shows how the big money is going to general spending, with a large chunk reserved for “federal and state government”. And if you look into the details more carefully, you’ll see funding going to things that don’t necessarily promote economic revival.”

Well – it has been pointed out everywhere that the only thing this bill truly does is expand government and does very little at all to stimulate this economy.  As with all your posts – this ranks right up there with the best.  This is a great look at the stimulus package and what we can expect as a result.  I like your analogy of the comatose patient.

Politics

Jon Chambers presents Blind Loyalty (Article) posted at The Mind Of Jon.

Hey Jon – welcome to The Carnival!  This was a very refreshing article, Jon.  Too often I come across other bloggers and other people in my day-to-day life that are blindly supporting Obama without question.  The fact this stimulus bill passed is a great example.  While 63% of Americans opposed this bill in its form, it passed along party lines in Congress.  Congress is blindly following Obama rather than do what they are supposed to be doing – checks and balance.  Don’t get me wrong – when Congress was under Republican control – they did the same thing for Bush.  I agree that people need to get over their infatuation with Obama and start questioning him.  As a conservative, I will always be questioning his ideas and policies.  I did the same when Bush was in office.  I’m glad to see someone from the “other” side will be paying close attention as well.

Bob O presents Just What Is A Bill and How Does It Become Law? posted at Inside Government, saying, “A very detailed look at how ideas become a bill and gets put in to law – this goes beyond our elementary education from School House Rock.”

Yeah – I know – I wrote this myself and I’m tooting my own horn!  But, its still a good educational piece.

Bill Brown presents Cargo Cult Capitalism posted at The New Clarion, saying, “Why does the Third World have such trouble adopting capitalism? I use the metaphor of the post-WWII cargo cults to explain.”

Excellent post Bill – and welcome to The Carnival.  I’m glad you took the time to mention that our government’s newly found adoption of Keynesian doctrine is leading this country down the wrong path.  Capitalism only works when governments get out of the way.  Unfortunately, those third-world nations, such as Ethiopia, will never be able to recreate our success until their governments are reformed as well.  It’s just sad to see that our “great experiment” may be dying now with socialism creeping in to the government.

U.S. Common Sense presents Response to Glenn Hall: Chevron’s Big Oil Find posted at U.S. Common Sense, saying, “I know I owe you some articles. :) This article discusses the frustration related to our dependence on oil and the President’s/media’s constant practice of ignoring hydrogen power. A hydrogen economy is not only a great “stimulus/job creation” plan but it also gives us a new growth market in the future that provides a return on investment.”

U.S. – another great post as usual!  If I’m not mistaken, I believe there are already fully functional hydrogen fueled cars in South America and hydrogen fueling stations as well.  In fact, I remember reading somewhere that there are at least 50 different models that have been produced, some of them by our auto manufacturers.  Hydrogen is most definitely a cheap renewable fuel – I don’t see why we haven’t moved closer to it now!

vjack presents Investing in Infrastructure is a Matter of National Security posted at Atheist Revolution.

Hey there again, VJack – Actually, the GOP wasn’t against the infrastructure spending as it does help to stimulate the economy by providing jobs.  The GOP was standing up against things that did not actually belong in a stimulus bill like giving money for public health, saving a rat in a swamp, increasing government employee pay, and buying golf carts for federal employees in D.C.  When you look at the CBO breakdown of the bill – all infrastructure spending was placed in the stimulus side of the pie.  I do agree with you that infrastructure is a matter of national security.  Giving amnesty to illegals and providing them healthcare is not.

Piotr Stepien presents Money Free World posted at we overstep, saying, “Will politicians ever support this idea?”

Hmmm…don’t see how it could ever work.  Any form of trade and barter in an economy will have a value placed on it.  Money as we know it today would just be replaced with another system of value.  I get you are talking about a form of exchange – but – a value would have to be placed on each item to be exchanged.  At this time, it’s based on monetary values.  Nice thought though.

SpkTruth2Pwr presents New Age Curse of the Cabinet Secretary posted at The Apathy Remedy, saying, “Another Obama appointment falls by the wayside, this time on policy differences. Is acting in a post-Bush cabinet position a political curse?”

Nice to see ya again.  Just wanted to point out that Gregg didn’t withdraw his nomination because of irresolvable conflicts stemming from the stimulus package.  It has everything to do with Obama’s wishes to move the Census in to the hands of the Chief of Staff this is counter to the constitution.  According to the Constitution the Census is done at the control of Congress.  The President should not have anything to do with the census as it is a conflict.  By giving the census to Rahm Emanuel it is putting it under the President’s control.

Ron McKie presents This is awesome posted at Phuck Politics.

I’d vote for her!  She’s more than qualified than any dickhead that is currently serving in Congress.  At least she already has experience taking it in the ass!
