Idiots
The total set aside by the Obambi administration for Green Energy businesses was $80 Billion. We’ve heard about Solyndra, Fisker, and A123 among some of the bigger ones. However, there are a total of 34 companies on this list totaling $3.770 Billion in taxpayer funded loans. Admittedly, that is only 1/2 of 1% of the total. But, given that we are talking BILLIONS that still is no chump change when it comes to our taxes. I found the list here. We can’t afford having the government pick and choose who the winners and losers are. Given that Global Warming has been debunked and we now find out that there has been absolutely no global warming over the last 16 years – this is plain ridiculous.
The complete list of faltering or bankrupt green-energy companies:
- Evergreen Solar ($25 million)*
- SpectraWatt ($500,000)*
- Solyndra ($535 million)*
- Beacon Power ($43 million)*
- Nevada Geothermal ($98.5 million)
- SunPower ($1.2 billion)
- First Solar ($1.46 billion)
- Babcock and Brown ($178 million)
- EnerDel’s subsidiary Ener1 ($118.5 million)*
- Amonix ($5.9 million)
- Fisker Automotive ($529 million)
- Abound Solar ($400 million)*
- A123 Systems ($279 million)*
- Willard and Kelsey Solar Group ($6 million)*
- Johnson Controls ($299 million)
- Schneider Electric ($86 million)
- Brightsource ($1.6 billion)
- ECOtality ($126.2 million)
- Raser Technologies ($33 million)*

Well if there was any doubt in the first place concerning the intelligence of some Obama supporters this should serve nicely to dispel that…
Obama should be allowed to use a Teleprompter to debate
Really? After watching that I could only think of one thing….
“Tis better to remain silent and be thought a fool, then to speak out and remove all doubt”.
Abe Lincoln 16th President of the United States.
OK – The Evil Clown shamed me into it, so here it goes – I’ll opine.
One of the most personally annoying talking points I keep hearing is how the president is some steward of “jobs creation”
How’s that work – The POTUS walks into a HR department over at Acme tools and says:
“You shall Hire Joe and Jill – You shall Hire Bob and Betty - and don’t forget their Union bennies either damn it!! So I decree so it shall be!!”
Okay all snarky-ness aside – I’ve long held that the president himself can do little to create or destroy jobs – perhaps he has some impact via certain initiatives to cause companies to not hire – i.e Obamacare – Or perhaps public works like FDR did – and that can cause uncertainty in the job markets but factually there isn’t much a sitting president can actually do to “create” a job. It’s a red herring for talking heads and Sunday morning political “experts” to bandy about – but in reality it serves as a useless metric of a presidents accomplishments. Jobs are created in the marketplace – Not the Whitehouse.
Okay now that we got that out of the way – This musing of mine on Presidents and Jobs Creation comes from a passing comment on a local news web page where an Obama Supporter was adamantly defending Obama and his record. No seriously; there is someone out there actually defending this yahoo. You just can’t make this crap up folks!!
One of the poster’s points in support of Obama and his Jobs Creation was:
“Obama has <beep> created more <expletive deleted >jobs in 4 years than <expletive deleted> G.W. Bush did in <beep> 8 !!!11eLEVENTY!! ” (at which point I advised the excitable poster to calm down – all that angst is bad for the ol ticker don’t ya’ know.)
Which of course I had to think about that astounding claim for all of about …. .9999 nano seconds before I shredded his argument. It reminded me of playing that old game Battleship
Of course Obama numerically can boast that he created more jobs than G.W. that is true.
But why is it true?
At this point I have to admit I was shooting at a sail boat with what amounted to the USS New Jersey but hey no one ever accused my swashbuckling pirate ass of being nice….
Anchors aweigh Boys…time to sink the Bismark – Er – belay that…. it’s the “Good Ship Rainbows and Unicorn Farts” !!
I asked our intrepid Obamaphil -” Could it be perhaps One, that the job numbers my oh so ardent Obama fan is claiming the POTUS to have “created” is simply no more than jobs that are gradually coming back in a still very uncertain recovery”?
B-14 – hit!
“And Two, those jobs that are slowly coming back have taken 4 long years and still we see 8+ % unemployment – why is that?? Answer – Because job creation is not even keeping pace with new prospect employees entering the work environment”.
B13 – Hit!
Those two points are true as well but as the poster scrambled to shore up his already sinking battle ship….I let go with a full on broadside…. I do fear I made the hapless poster wet his britches when I pointed out:
“Or perhaps it is simply a case of..The simple fact of the matter is from around 2002 – right up until late 2006 Unemployment was hovering around 4% .
B-12 – Hit!
“That, in case you’re wondering is what econo-weenies call “full employment” based on the fact that that 4% of the population that isn’t working – chooses not to or can’t. Ergo there were NO jobs for G.W. Bush to create“.
(Assuming of course you buy into the whole the President Creates Job meme).
B-11 Hit!
OH NOES!! YOU SANK MY BATTLESHIP!! AAAAAOOOOOGA – Abandon Ship – Women and Children First!!
Ah!! So solly challie maybe you go Singapore next time – find you girl love you long time eh?
Or – I guess you can keep voting for Obama??!
I know – right off the bat some moonbat out there will automatically label me as a racist just for making that statement. Oh well – that just shows they are unwilling to actually listen to someone else’s opinion and would rather jump right on that “racist conservative” bandwagon.
In 2008 it was truly a historic moment – America elected a black man to the highest office in the land. Well, not quite – he is a mulatto – he’s not actually considered a “true” black person. He is half-white and half-black. Why people think he is black is still beyond me. Why isn’t he white? He’s only half one or the other – why do they identify with the “black” side of him? Compared to full blooded African-Americans in this country – Obama is white.
Anyway, to the point of this discussion – this man has proven to be so freakin’ incompetent that he has essentially sealed the fate of all blacks in this country who may have aspired to become President themselves one day. There is a racist stereotype that says all blacks are lazy and stupid. I personally don’t subscribe to that stereotype. But, there are enough real racists out there that do believe that, in addition to some closet racists (liberals) that won’t openly make such a statement. Obama’s total lack of leadership, incompetence, and his ability to find a golf course at crucial moments on a whim as well as dart off on extremely expensive vacations every couple months helps to lend credence to that stereotype.
There will be enough people in the next election who will refuse to vote for him because he is black – not just from the right – but now from the left as well. They will be saying “we never should have put that black man in the White House – he’s a freakin’ lazy good for nothing idiot. Never gonna vote for another black man in my life.” Not only that, but this stereotype will go on in history as well. Historians will not be kind to this idiot in chief at all. History will prove that he is even more incompetent that Jimmy Carter.
Personally, I would vote for Alan West or even Condeeza if either of them ever run. Unfortunately, because of Obama, neither one of them will ever see the oval office from behind the desk.
