James Carville on Glenn Beck – pretty funny!

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: Humor, Media Bias, government

Here is the quote from James Carville as it relates to Glenn Beck:

“Just out-and-out nuts. And I also think that he’s a blatant hypocrite,” Carville said. “Here’s somebody that sits on his show … weeping about how much he loves America and … and then he’s absolutely giddy when his country doesn’t get the Olympics. And this is — I’ll tell you another thing about Glenn Beck. He wouldn’t know the difference between a football, a bat and a hockey court. This guy is not — he’s just all — he’s just all weeping.”

Please note the section I highlighted – is that absolutely funny or what?  Apparently, James Carville doesn’t know the difference either – a hockey court?  Bwahaha.  And – FYI – it wasn’t America that would have gotten the Olympics – it was Chicago.  Chicago in no way shape or form even comes close to representing America.

While I will admit that Beck does appear to go over the top on occasion – the fact of the matter remains – the guy is the only one out there telling the truth about those in our government.  It’s kind of hard to dispute his facts when he is using actual audio and video in their own words.  He also sources his facts.  Those loonies on the left there just can’t handle the truth – so – they resort to their same old tactics – try to destroy the messenger.

I will continue to support Glenn Beck while he continues to be the only one reporting the truth – despite the fact that he’s not an actual journalist.  If the media were doing their job and being real journalists, Beck wouldn’t be as popular as he is.

The Swine Flu is Obama’s “Katrina”

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: A Nation at Risk, African-Americans, America, Conservative, Democrats, Media Bias, Obama, Politics, President, government

Okay, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as of July 18, 2009 there are 43,771 reported cases of Swine Flu in the United States and 302 deaths (see table below).  In epidemiological terms this is just the tip of the ice berg.

Additionally, according to the CDC

“Nearly 100 percent of the influenza viruses being detected now are novel H1N1 viruses.”

This should be disturbing to everyone. The incubation period for H1N1 is typically 24 – 48 hours and symptoms can last for at least 7 days.  Generally, the morbidity and mortality rate is 10% of total cases confirmed.  What this means is that for the 43,771 thus far confirmed, there may actually be over 430,000 cases in the U.S. – there may actually be 3,000 deaths related to the swine flu that have been unconfirmed.

When you take in to consideration that the first case of Swine Flu was actually reported in late March 2009 in Mexico – it reached a pandemic status in just a matter of three months.  Here we are 4 months later from the first confirmed case in the U.S. with 302 known related deaths and 43,000 confirmed cases.  This thing is spreading like wild fire.

There currently is no known vaccine available – see this past week’s Carnival – we had a submission from Lavender at News for Freedom Daily regarding the deadly vaccines coming out.  Here’s what I would like to know – why aren’t these numbers being reported by the media?  Why are they giving Obama and his administration a pass on this?  Apparently, the Obama administration was not prepared for this pandemic outbreak and there is no immediate relief in sight.  In the aftermath of Katrina – it is reported there were approximately 1,300 deaths as a result.  Within days of this NATURAL disaster – one of the worst Hurricanes ever seen in this country – the lefties and the media were all over the Bush administration blaming him not only for the lack of response by the Mayor of New Orleans and the lack of response by the Governor of Louisiana but also for not being prepared for this.

So – why is no one blaming the Obama administration for their lack of preparation?  Why is no one blaming the Obama administration for not anticipating the impact to the U.S. immediately following the first confirmed case?  Why did the Obama administration not have any swine flu vaccines stockpiled?  If Bush and his administration can be blamed for a natural disaster that could have been prevented if every President before him and every Mayor of New Orleans and Governor of Louisiana before them built stronger levees – then why are we not blaming Obama and his administration for this current outbreak and their total lack of response and lack of foresight and preparedness?

My dissertation will be on the H1N1 and looking for correlations and/or disparities among gender, race, ethnicity, age, and geography of those infected.  I’ll bet I’ll find that the majority of those infected and those who died are from low income areas with low socioeconomic status.  In my mind, the swine flu is indeed Obama’s Katrina.  Only this time, he gets a pass for letting blacks die on his watch – with no real plan to contain or stop the spread.  I hate to say this folks, but I believe that by the time this is over, and it won’t be any time soon, we will top more swine flu related deaths in the U.S. than the number of individuals who died in Katrina.  Where is the outcry from the left now?

I guess deaths of U.S. citizens only matter when there is a Republican administration.

Palin’s Resignation is Brilliant! – Updated

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: Conservative, Democrats, Liberals, McCain, Media Bias, Obama, Palin, Politics, Republicans, government

I decided to take the weekend to think her resignation through before I commented on it.  After lots of thought about it – it’s brilliant!  Sarah Palin has put herself out there as a Conservative first – Republican second.  Sure – she might still be one of those Republitards – but – her resignation has just solidified her standing as a Fiscal Conservative.

She has proven that she is thinking about the taxpayers of Alaska by stepping aside.  Those idiots on the left have been coming after her ever since her nomination as the VP elect – then they really stepped over the line and went after her teenage daughter and her handicapped child.  They have no shame.  In addition, they continue to file frivolous ethics charges against her that continue to be overturned.  She has spent millions of Alaskan taxpayer money defending herself in addition to being away from her office to answer to these charges.

Other than showing what a fiscal conservative she is – now that she has stepped down – she has control of the reigns now.  She can now step out in to the spotlight and let those idiots on the left really have it.  She can actually defend herself without having to worry about it reflecting on her as the Governor, nor does she have to worry about wasting taxpayer money.

Unlike Obama, Biden, McCain, and Hillary – who all campaigned for 18 months – all drawing a full paycheck and benefits from we the taxpayers without performing the jobs they were hired to do – this frees Palin up and does not provide any fodder for those idiots on the left.

In response to their charges that she quit – umm – really?  Why are they not holding Obama, Biden, Clinton, Emmanuel, Sebellius, & Napolitano to the same standard?  Did they not all quit their jobs that they were elected to?  In fact, both Biden and Emmanuel had just been re-elected to their positions.  What is the difference?  Every one of them “turned their backs on their constituents” also.  That’s just another lame excuse from the loony left.  I personally believe they are scared to death of Palin.  She recently had 20,000 people come to meet her at a parade.  There are only 26,000 people in that town.  Meanwhile, Biden goes out on a townhall tour and only 100 people out of a population of 103,000 showed up.

Palin has charisma and can attract conservatives from all around the country – Republican, Democrat, and Independents alike.  She scares the hell out of not only the Democraps, but the Republitards as well. I stand behind her decision to resign to take on a national presence.  Go Get Em, Sarah!

UPDATE! – Looks like I’m not the only one – Atlas Shrugs Vlogs Sarah Palin – and – seems she and I are on the same mindlink.  I’m in good company!

The BoBo Carnival of Politics – July 5th, 2009 Edition

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: A Nation at Risk, America, Carnival, Civil Rights, Congress, Conservative, Democrats, Fascism, Freedom, Global warmongering, Harry Reid, Iraq, Liberals, Media Bias, Obama, Politics, President, Socialism, Soldiers, Taxes, Troops, blogs, energy, government, libertarian

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday reflecting on and celebrating the independence of this country! Well – not its time to get back to business! You’ll notice we have some new contributors, regular contributors, and contributors from the past posting up again. Thanks to you all for making this the Carnival that it is!

Conservative

David Lamb presents When Treasuries Crowd Out Lending posted at Killer Buffalo.

David – welcome back!  Haven’t seen you around in a while.  I take it you’re getting prepared for your college years now! LOL…enjoy them!  In this article, I found it interesting that you attributed the recession to “skyrocketing interest rates.”  Actually, I’m still waiting for them to increase.  In 1990 when I bought my first home, it was at an 11% interest rate – and that was normal back then.  My car loan was at 14% – again, normal in 1990.  I would hardly say our interest rates have “skyrocketed.”  With the prime lending rate still floating around 4% – I would say the cause of this recession has been the lack of the fed to stabilize the markets by actually, and truly, increasing interest rates.  If you want people to invest – you need to raise the interest rates.  The best I can get on my CD’s right now is 3.5% if I go out 3 years.  My Money Market is only earning 1% interest.  I remember in 1990 when I could get 10 – 12% on my short-term CD’s.  The best way for this economy to stabilize and to bring investors back in to the market is to raise interest rates.  So – if you want to attribute this recession to interest rates – I would actually attribute it to the falsely deflated interest rates.

Jared Rhoads presents The Lucidicus Project posted at The Lucidicus Project, saying, “If the proposed public option for health insurance becomes law, then we may as well have Fannie Mae run it.”

“Fannie-Mae Healthcare” – sounds about right for this proposed monstronsity!  Let’s hope we garner enough support in the house to kill it right away.  The real solution is not “affordable health INSURANCE” – it’s affordable HEALTH CARE – Lower the cost of access to health care – i.e, through tort reform, and you open health care back up to free-market capitalism which is good for all.  Just providing insurance to everyone does nothing to lower the actual costs of healthcare. If anything – having this public option health insurance will just drive the costs up further.  Healthcare providers will increase their rates in order to cover the losses from that idiotic public plan.

Scott Spiegel presents Global Warming Killed Michael Jackson posted at Scott Spiegel.

Bwahaha!  Great title!  However, this is probably one of the best detailed posts regarding the “global warming” issue.  I’m with you – let’s hope there actually is an American Senator out there that is willing to ask the same questions as the Australian Senator and actually look at the facts rather than the myths before they vote on that economy killer of a bill.

Steve Parry presents This Explains A Lot posted at The Axis of Stevil, saying, “Sarcastic, but true.”

Michelle Obama hates kids!!!!!!  LOL – you’re right – this does actually explain a lot.

Silicon Valley Blogger presents Commodity Market Index: An Inflation Indicator posted at The Digerati Life, saying, “Let’s talk inflation for a moment. I discuss various ways to predict inflation. I’m surprised nobody’s commented on this post yet (all other posts get comments) — are people just intimidated by this subject?”

Me – I say inflation is another necessary evil in a free-market capitalist system.  Inflation helps to stabilize the economy.  When you don’t allow inflation to occur and if you falsely keep interest rates down to try to curb inflation – you get what we have now – a serious recession leading towards a depression.  We could have avoided this had the Fed just allowed inflation to occur and run it’s natural course.  We wouldn’t be seeing the possibility of hyperinflation now.  In addition, when all these idiotic policies start hitting our economy – the price of everything will increase.  You are right though – If you follow your local prices at your local stores – you can see inflation creeping.  We should have seen this coming years ago.

The Smarter Wallet presents The Credit Crisis Explained Video posted at The Smarter Wallet, saying, “I’m going for a video this time, to display how the credit crisis evolved. Thanks!”

Excellent video.  Who’s Jonathon Jarvis?  I’ve seen similar illustrations -but – this was by far one of the more simplistic and easiest to understand.  Highly recommended.

Democrats

DWSUWF presents Under My Thumb. posted at Divided We Stand United We Fall, saying, “The damage is already done. Senator Al Franken will not make a meaningful difference. This single party Democratic government has already committed to trillions of new spending while quadrupling the deficit. They’ve dug a financial hole that can only be filled by imposing new economy-throttling taxes and unleashing the inflationary and currency devaluing monetary printing presses. These are the simple facts. Before Senator Al Franken, or after Senator Al Franken, the only thing that can restrain the Democrats now are the Democrats.”

Yup – but – considering all the crap they’ve been able to force through without Franken – I don’t think it really matters that they actually seated him.  We’ll see how many Senators up for re-election in 2010 would rather side with the people rather than the party of Franken and Obama.

Liberal

SpkTruth2Pwr presents Iraq: Roll ‘Em Up! Move ‘Em Out! posted at The Apathy Remedy, saying, “Why is it that there has been sparse coverage of the U.S. troops in Iraq lately? Maybe it is because things are actually on the right track with U.S. Foreign Policy in the Middle East.”

You do realize that by the MSM acknowledging the success – they would have to actually give credit to Bush, Cheney, and the entire Bush administration!  Since they can’t say this is a Democrat or Obama success – there’s no reason for them to report on it.  This withdrawal has nothing to do with Obama’s foreign policy as you have stated.  This withdrawal was agreed upon by Bush and Malaki last year.  So – why is there no reporting?  Because this is a conservative, republican, and Bush success. We know how Liberals and the liberal media hate to give credit to conservatives for anything.  Hell, Harry Reid and Obama both said last year that this war was lost.  Maybe that’s why the MSM doesn’t want to report on this success – it makes their Obamessiah look bad.

Rick Foreman presents Ice Cream and the Freedom of Dessert posted at Waiting for the Singularity.

OH…this has nothing to do with ice cream does it? ;) But, I am in agreement with you on this one, being the Libertarian Conservative that I am.  Our forefathers did not intend for my favorite, Moosetracks, to be forced upon those who prefer vanilla. I believe you have the right to believe that your favorite is better than my favorite and we both have the right to disagree with each other without the government forcing us to choose one, such as what the Obama administration is doing with all of their policies.

Miscellaneous

BH presents 7 Out of Top 10 Failed States are Muslim States posted at Bangladeshi Hindu.

Interesting!  What I also find interesting is that two countries currently at war (Iraq and Afghanistan) are actually ranked 6 and 7, respectively.  Those other countries 1 – 5 must be in REALLY bad shape then!

Kenny Silveira presents Is this what we have become? posted at Black Holes And Revelations, saying, “An article about the recent violence in Iran after the 2009 elections.”
Nice tribute to Neda and an eye-opening post to those that are sleeping.  It’s too bad our own President sides more with the Mullah’s than with the people.

Madeleine Begun Kane presents De-Moralized? posted at Mad Kane’s Political Madness.

Hmmm…that’s just as crazy as libtards blaming Glenn Beck and O’Reilly for Tiller The Baby-Killer’s death. Neither of them compute.

Bob Brooks presents Dazed and Confused – The Weapon of the Politicians posted at Bob Brooks – Prudent Money Blog.

Just keep reporting on this kind of stuff.  With enough of us bloggers out here pointing out the truth – eventually someone is going to come across it.  I have people that I work with that didn’t even know this thing passed last week.  I spoke to as many colleagues as possible leading up to the vote – but – I guess I wasn’t talking to the right people.  Keep up the great work, Bob.

News

nickel presents $15,000 Homebuyer’s Tax Credit is Back on the Table posted at fivecentnickel.com.

Personally, I think that’s a load of crap.  The tax credit – not your article! :)   We don’t need any more freakin’ tax credits.  What we need is more permanent tax cuts.  The tax credit is not going to incentive anyone to buy a home in this market unless they can also come up with the 20% downpayment.  Many banks are actually going back to using solid business decisions and lending practices – that includes money down and income and employment verification.  The smart home-buyers are staying in the homes the are already in rather than risk the values of their homes going down further.  The market still hasn’t bottomed out.  Using my money to incentivize people to buy homes they may not really want or can’t afford is just another bad idea.  Kinda sounds like what caused the financial meltdown in the first place.

Politics

Allen Scott presents With Malice Toward None posted at Journey Across the Sky, saying, “Something to think about as we celebrate our Freedom.”

Hey Allen – sorry this didn’t appear before July 4th.  I guess that’s just one of the hazards of posting this regularly on Sundays – sometimes the posts come a little later.  In any case – whether this comes before or after 4th of July – your discussion is still relevant for every day.  Long – but well worth the read.

Wenchypoo presents About That Climate Change Bill Voted On Last Friday… posted at Wisdom From Wenchypoo’s Mental Wastebasket.

Hey Wenchypoo – perhaps you might want to resubmit?  For whatever reason – this doesn’t link to anything – blogger says this link doesn’t exist.

Gal Josefsberg presents An Open Letter To Our Elected Officials posted at Gal Josefsberg, saying, “I want someone to inspire me, someone who will give us a cause to rally behind. With so many issues facing us, we need more than a manager, we need a leader.”

Good letter.  Hey, did you hear that Steve “Air” McNair was shot and killed?  Seriously, this country needs to focus on what is right rather than what the media wants us to look at.  We have far too many issues that effect all of individually that are before Congress that needs to be looked at.  I too am so tired of all the idiots in this country tied to the “boob tube” that they can’t even think critically any longer – nor do they care about the real issues.  Great post.

That concludes this edition. Submit your blog article to the next edition of The BoBo Carnival of Politics using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.

Obama is now Goebbels!

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: A Nation at Risk, America, Civil Rights, Constitution, Fascism, Liberals, Media Bias, Obama, Politics, President, Republicans, Socialism, US Constitution, communism, government

Okay – seriously – for you guys on the left – isn’t this just more proof for you guys that Obama is a Fascist and is following in the footsteps of Hitler, Mussolini, and FDR?  Joseph Goebbels stated that when you control the media – you control the message.

Obama has now taken over ABC to push that idiotic healthcare reform plan.

ABC TURNS PROGRAMMING OVER TO OBAMA; NEWS TO BE ANCHORED FROM INSIDE WHITE HOUSE
Tue Jun 16 2009 08:45:10 ET

On the night of June 24, the media and government become one, when ABC turns its programming over to President Obama and White House officials to push government run health care -- a move that has ignited an ethical firestorm!

Highlights on the agenda:

ABCNEWS anchor Charlie Gibson will deliver WORLD NEWS from the Blue Room of the White House.

The network plans a primetime special -- 'Prescription for America' -- originating from the East Room, exclude opposing voices on the debate.

This absolutely is 100% proof that the media is so far in bed with government and government has taken control of the message. This shreds The First Amendment of the Freedom of the Press all to hell. But, with this administration…what else is new?  This is entirely one-sided since there will be no one there to present the other side of the debate.  No Republicans are allowed to be present or to speak on behalf of the opposition.  Again – Mr. Obama – where is this so-called “bipartisan debate” that you promised the country?

My country is going to hell in a handbasket and no one really seems to care about it.  How can we as Americans just stand by and allow the government to take over our national media like this?  This is one of the first steps that Hitler and Mussolini took when the state started taking over the lives of the people of those countries.  This also follows in the footsteps of Communist China, Russia, N. Korea, Iraq (Saddam Hussein), and Venezuela (Chavez).  Obama is controlling the message and the press is in the bag with him.  Seriously, what happened to the press being the watchdog over government as it was originally intended?

Is this what you guys on the left really voted for?  Really?  What makes you guys think you aren’t next?  If your agenda doesn’t fit with Obama’s statist positions – you can bet your voices will be stifled as well.

Well – Mrs. BoBo gave me a honey-do list that’s about a freakin mile long!  I’m gonna have to publish this week’s Carnival sans comments.  I’m sure many of you are probably actually okay with that! ;) I’ll be back later to check in with you all – assuming my slave driving wife hasn’t buried me by this evening! In all seriousness – she’s wonderful to put up with my rants.  Turns out – sometimes she’s the sounding board for some of the material I put up here before it gets posted.

Enough of that – here is this week’s carnival – you’ll notice something very odd – there are no submissions in our Liberal or Democrat category.  I wonder what’s up with that?
