Connecticut Beer Distributors are Racists!

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: African-Americans, Race

Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!  That dude that went on a rampage in Connecticut did it because his employers were all racists!  Damn it!  Now I need to boycott beer too?

Okay – well – not really.  Is it me or is anybody else out there getting really sick and tired of this race card blame game?  Why the hell can they not accept responsibility for their own freakin’ actions?!?!

Here is the story

9 Dead In Manchester, Conn. Workplace Shooting

And here is another link to this story by a different news organization

Family: Racism Caused Connecticut Shooter to Snap

This is such bullshit!  The man snapped because he is a freakin’ nutjob and a thief and got caught stealing and was fired for it.  He came to work that morning with a loaded gun in his lunch box – you know damned well he already knew what was coming for him.

Quotes from both of the above stories

John Hollis, a legislative liaison for the Teamsters union, said he had been told that Thornton was caught on a video camera in the warehouse stealing beer. Hollis said the purpose of the meeting was to confront Thornton. Cirigliano, the union president, had been “fighting tooth and nail for this guy to get another opportunity,” Hollis said.

Manchester Police Chief Marc Montminy said that at the meeting, Thornton had been given the option of resigning or being fired and “was being escorted from the building when the shots rang out.”

and

Omar Thornton sat calmly in a meeting with union representative and his supervisors as they showed a video of him stealing beer from the distributor where he worked.

Busted, he didn’t put up a fight, company officials said. He quietly signed a letter of resignation and was headed for the door when he pulled out a gun and started firing – “cold as ice,” as one survivor described it.

Dude – he got fired for stealing from his employer! How is that racism?  According to his family:

Hannah said that Thornton, who is black, had complained about racial harassment at work. Hannah said that Thornton told her a racial epithet had been written and a noose drawn on a bathroom wall and that Thornton had taken photos of them with his cellphone. (Note here – Hannah is the shooter’s girlfriend’s mother)

and from the other story – this account

Thornton had said he found a picture of a noose and a racial epithet written on a bathroom wall, said Hannah, of Enfield, whose daughter Kristi had dated Thornton for eight years. Her daughter told her that Thornton’s supervisors told him they would talk to his co-workers.

So – we have two different articles on this situation basically saying the same thing – but – each adds a little more detail than the other.

So – what we have here is a black employee who got caught stealing.  He was confronted with a video tape of his actions.  He has a union rep sitting beside him who is trying to help get him another chance – he agrees to resigns – then turns around and shoots his supervisor and his union rep then goes on to kill other co-workers.  And – rather than face the facts that this guy is a stone cold killer and thief – his family points to racism based on a third-party story?

Both articles go on to detail the fact that the shooter never once filed a discriminatory complaint and it states there has never been any federal or state complaints of racism EVER filed against this distributor.

Get over the freakin’  race baiting race card.  He failed at life and is a miserable human being (now worm dirt).  Accept it – move on already.  Slavery freakin’ ended almost 150 years ago.  Full civil rights were granted to all in 1964 – 46 years ago.  I don’t deny there might be pockets of racists and racism here and there – but – every time a black man is caught doing something wrong – why does it have to be because of race?

The only reason race relations continue to be sour is because of the blatant racism coming from Blacks and Hispanics.  We can’t move forward until you idiots get over it.  You have become what you hate in white people.  We have bent over backwards for almost 50 years setting things right and putting in laws to ensure we never turn back those hands of time – yet – you blame racism for all of your faults.

How much are you willing to bet that both Rangel and Maxine Waters are going to play the race card and blame racism on the fact they are both lying cheating thieves that deserve to go to jail.  Black Americans are no more special than the rest of us Americans.  You deserve no special treatment if you are a criminal.  You go to jail just like the rest of us.  If you want to know why there is a disproportionate number of blacks in jail – just check out your ghettos and your “hoods.”  The fact of the matter is you are committing more crimes than whites and you’re getting caught.

Enough already! Take responsibility for your own actions.

One last thing before I go – where the hell are all those loony leftard anti-gun idiots?  Why aren’t they speaking out against this?  Oh, wait – that’s right – it’s okay for a black guy to go on a rampage and kill a bunch of white people – because – afterall – he’s not one of those crazy right winger religious nutjobs that cling to their bibles and their guns.  Nope – he’s just a black man that suffered at the injustices of “the man” and has every right to fight to have his ankles unshackled.

Gimme a break!  Seriously!  Where are the anti-gun nutjobs?  We see and hear them all the time when a white person goes off their rocker and kills a whole bunch of co-workers.

Obama settin’ back race relations?

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: African-Americans, Obama, Politics, Race

I’m just going to say what I think others are thinking but are either afraid to say it or are just too PC – since he is so hell bent on destroying this country – there will not be another black president in this country for a long time to come.

I don’t like the man because of his policies.  It has nothing to do with his race.  However, all those people who voted for him and are now remorseful – will have second thoughts the next time there is a black man in the race.

Obama has indeed set race relations back for a very long time and has doomed the presidency for any African-American hopefuls.  Too bad.

Your thoughts?

My Journey to Millions – A Guest Post – Ricci Reversal Rich!

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: Civil Rights, Constitution, Guest Bloggers, Politics, Race, government, libertarian

This is a re-post from My Journey, a Personal Finance Blogger, who sometimes feels the need to voice his poltical views. Whether or not you agree with his views you should check out his site, My Journey to Millions,or subscribe to his Feed.

___________________________________________________________________________

Despite writing a personal finance blog, I enjoy chatting up politics and I think I have been very open about my political views, which are basically libertarian in nature. I generally believe the government is a necessary evil and as such I want to keep it as small as possible. The way I look at it I don’t want the government involved in my business affairs as much as I do not want them inhibiting what I (and the founding fathers) consider inalienable rights (by the way I just wrote that Retirement is not an inalienable right).

I dislike the idea of affirmative action in this Country in the year 2009, and truly believe how it is used today is not what Congress and the Supreme Court envisioned those many years ago.

Imagine sitting in a Constitution Law II class with half the room being women, a good portion of them Black, and a liberal liberal Professor – and you are a white Christian Male and you raise your hand to talk about reverse discrimination of white males. It was a scary time for My Journey…but I didn’t care and neither should you. Well today I got some reprieve!

Ricci v. DeStefano – The New Haven 20

Today the United States Supreme Court gave their Opinion (read: Decision) in the case of Ricci v.DeStefano. (opens a .pdf file) The Case surrounds a group fondly known as the New Haven 20, a group of 20 Firefighters who studied their a** off and did well enough on a test to get promoted, but the City of New Haven decided to throw out the exam because no African Americans did well enough on it. Yeah read that over again, seems almost unreal.

The Wall Street Journal wrote today,

Writing for a 5-4 majority in Ricci v. deStefano, Justice Anthony Kennedy said that the city of New Haven violated civil-rights law when it threw out firefighter promotional exams because more whites than blacks or Hispanics had passed the tests. New Haven claimed it had to junk the tests because certifying the results would lead to an avalanche of lawsuits by black candidates who hadn’t passed. In other words, the city claimed it had to intentionally discriminate against white candidates out of fear that the tests unintentionally had a “disparate impact” against minorities.

But the Court found no evidence that the tests were flawed or that better alternatives for promotion existed. On the contrary, employment tests are an important tool against the very kind of racial discrimination that civil-rights laws were designed to prevent. “Fear of litigation alone cannot justify an employer’s reliance on race to the detriment of individuals who passed the examinations and qualified for promotions,”

Justice Kennedy wrote. The Supremes created this “disparate impact” reverse discrimination incentive with its 1971 Griggs decision, since codified into law, but at least five Justices are still able to object to this kind of blatant racial injustice.

As a brother of a Firefighter (also white Christian Male) I have watched my brother study is butt off for the lieutenants’ test for the FDNY. My Brother has put as much work as I did for the New York State Bar Exam, and if my test was thrown out because some people, albeit minorities, did worse than me, I know I may be a ‘tad upset.’ Meanwhile, all this studying occurs while holding a full time job which includes running into burning buildings (as most law school graduates know – I didn’t do anything while studying for the bar except…study).

How this ruling will play out as we move forward will be interesting. Are we finally seeing an end to affirmative action? Probably not, but thankfully it may end the practice of just promoting minorities because of their ethnicity, color, and/or race (wow, doesn’t this seem like an MLK Speech?).

The Opinions (multiple Justices made statements) total about 93 pages, and were released Monday morning so I have not had the time read them, as such, I am not ready to start ripping on Sotomayor which has been going around the news lately. However, from the news stories I have read thus far, both the majority and dissent have been less than complimentary of the Supreme Court Nominee who was part of the lower court which was reversed.

Notwithstanding this post I don’t think a test would be fair if it only asked questions only whites knew the answer to, but that is notwhat happened in Ricci.

The BoBo Files is 1 Year Old Today!

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: BoBo, Obama, President, Race, Racist

Yes – that’s right – today is my 1 year blogiversary – or whatever the hell you call it. This blog has accomplished quite a bit this year – more than I could ever have hoped for. That very first day that I started blogging – I really didn’t know what the hell I was doing – I was the epitome of a “noob.” I was just hoping somebody out there might find me. I have to admit – my first blog design was a piece of shit – you can see that here: http://thebobofiles.blogspot.com. Okay – now that you’ve seen it – you can stop laughing. I know – it was pretty ugly and it was all over the place.

Then – I met Holly from Menstrual Poetry. She actually put the basic design of this together and helped me migrate my posts and some of the comments. The design entirely done in html – so – I have creative license with everything (no widgets here). The sidebar design over there is mine. No comments please – I know I need to do a little work over there. I promise I will get to it and clean it up.

So – throughout this past year I have close to 51,000 visitors. That is almost 1,000 a week. I peaked at around 140 subscribers at one point. You’ll also notice that I have 37 mobile subscribers now as well. At one point I had my Alexa ranking down to 97,000. This past December and my classes really played hell on my activities – you’ll see my rank went back slightly above 130,000 again. But – I’m confident I’ll be bringing that down again. And – I got my PR up to 4! And – I realize you can’t make a living off this amount – but – I cleared just a little over $400 with all the different advertising methods that I have going on plus my BoBo Gear. Not bad considering I was blogging for about 3 months before someone told me I could make money doing this.

I have all of you to thank for the success this blog has achieved so far. Let’s hope we can grow this blog even more next year. I’m sure many of my lefty readers (and I do mean that in a nice cuddly manner) hope I don’t get any bigger at all! :)

Anyway – I thought it would be a real treat to bring back the very first post that I did. I only had 3 comments – and those were from friends that I told and they were more a welcome than actual comments on the contents! LOL. So – without further adieu – BoBo’s very first blog post:

The Real Minority in America – The White Man!

Okay..for the first post to my new blog..why don’t we just start off with a topic that is sure to start some discussion. First, to my Liberal friends, I AM NOT A RACIST, nor am I into that whole white supremacy thing (I thoroughly expect to get flamin’ hate mail on this topic!). This is a very simple observation. As I am aging, getting wiser, and greyer, my eyes are opening to the reality that in America, we white guys are the ones who are actually being discriminated against. We white guys are the one’s who are really in the minority. Hmm..okay..you want proof? Okay..for starters..do you remember that loony guy on those TV ads who used to run around in a pseudo-Riddler suit by the name of Matthew Lesko who promises that you can make money off the government? Check out his website for a reminder. He clearly states that everyone is eligible for free government money and that everyone qualifies. Okay..so I bought into his schtick and put out the $39.95 for his book. I just knew I was going to get rich off the government (hmmm..must have been in my liberal days). In any case, as I search through it, all I find is that if you are a white male, there are no government programs, grants, or loans available. Yet, if you are a minority (black, yellow, female, native Indian, illegal immigrant, legal immigrant, etc.) there are programs and grants galore! Okay..need more proof? The Institute for Higher Education issued a work plan in April 2007 for opening the doors of our colleges and universities to LEGAL immigrants. Essentially, they are eligible for grants and lower in-state tuitions just because they are NOT Americans..Check it out HERE.

It is also a well known fact that our Liberal Universities have “quotas” and affirmative action plans that state they have to accept a minimum number of minorities into their schools. What this means is that if there are already too many white guys, they are forced to accept a minority who may have lower SAT scores and a lower GPA coming out of high school with less community involvement than their white counterpart. Additionally, they will give that minority a scholarship to get them into the school. Recently there was a case heard in the Supreme Court regarding the The University of Michigan Law School in which their point system for giving minorities preference in admission was initially struck down as being unfair, but was later overturned. So, what this means in a nutshell is that minorities get preference when it comes to our educational system.

Okay..so the Liberal stanza for these injustices are: “What about slavery? We enslaved the blacks for 200 hundred years. They deserve it!”; “Do you remember the trail of tears? We forced the Cherokee Indians from their homes. And..we stole their land from them, and tricked them out of Manhattan.”..and blah blah blah; “Do you remember the Japanese interment camps during WWII? They deserve everything we can give them.”; “What about the Chinese? We forced them to lay our railroad tracks for peanuts. They were indentured servants!”; “What about Woman’s suffrage? We kept women barefoot, pregnant, and in the kitchen for generations! They’ve only been aloud to vote for the past 70 years!”..again..BLAH BLAH BLAH. For crying out loud!! That was over 200 freakin years ago? The Japanese interment camps happened over 70 years ago! When is enough enough? We white guys are now paying for the sins of our great great great grandfathers. Okay..I get the whole Tuskegee Syphilis Study thing and I admit that was a great blunder for public health and probably has a whole lot to do with the mistrust of the government and especially the white man in government. But, again, haven’t we already paid enough? Do we need to keep using taxpayer dollars to fund every little thing that the minorities ask for? Do we still need to make sure that minorities are given preferences in our higher education system, workforce, and whatever else they can think of?

I can’t even get a small business loan because I “make too much money” or I “have too many assets.” Yet, my African-American brother down the street had no problem at all and we live in the same freakin’ neighborhood. Believe me, he’s probably pulling in the same cheddar that I am! America has come a long way in 200+ years. We may not yet have achieved MLK’s Dream, but we sure have come a long way! Who would have thought 40 years ago that we would have a Black man on the verge of becoming the President of the United States? I say, more power to him if he can actually pull it off. If he does become the President, is this all of the minorities in this country sending a signal? Is this their way of sticking it to the white man?

The BoBo Carnival of Politics – February 1, 2009 Edition

Welcome to Superbowl Sunday and yet another great edition of The BoBo Carnival of Politics. You will notice we have some new submitters as well as some of the regulars. Please do stop by and let these bloggers know your thoughts regarding their posts.

lsm presents Obama?s New Constitution. posted at awaken the elephants blog.

Kinda scary, isn’t it LSM?  Spot on analysis of his speech there.  But, I’m not surprised.  Michelle Obama herself said it last summer when she was on The View – she said Obama wants to remake this country and to change our culture.  The problem is that too many people just glossed it over and didn’t really pay attention to that statement.  Likewise, other than your analysis – I really haven’t heard anybody else pointing it out as poignantly as you have.  Keep up the great fight!

Nayano Taylor-Neumann presents End racist violence -ban Australia Day? posted at A possie in Aussie.

Wow!  I didn’t realize you guys had such troubles going on down under.  None of that was reported over here.  Seems a shame that a group of racists have hijacked a national holiday.  Seems to me that banning Australia Day would be equivalent to banning our Independence Day.  Do you think that would happen?

Conservative

seth1492 presents Republican Future posted at Wait Wait… Do Tell Me!.

A post I can agree with.  However, don’t mistake Republicans for Conservatives – two different things.  What you detailed as a plan of action are Conservative principles.  Unfortunately, we have too many RINO’s in the party that are liberal or moderate-left. In addition to Republicans returning to Conservative principles – we need to get the RINO’s out of he party since they are diluting it.

Michael Haltman presents Barack Obama: The Great American Apologist [del.icio.us] posted at The Political and Financial Markets Commentator, saying, “Al-Arabiya Gets The First T.V. Interview With President Obama”

Michael – excellent analysis on that interview – a must see by all my readers in case they did not see/hear the interview themselves.  When I first heard it I just hung my head.  This guy just does not get the full grasp of his position and what it means in the world.  The rest of the world, and especially the muslims, will interpret his words just as you and I have.  America is bad and everything is our fault.  This just gives those islamofascists more ammunition for recruiting more jihadists to do more damage to Americans and American interests.  I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – Obama is an idiot and he is too inexperienced to be our President.

Steve Simbeck presents A definitive work on the state of current affairs posted at No Mato mi Pavo, saying, “The slant of this blog is not hard to define.”

Hey, Steve – welcome back.  I’m glad you posted this up.  I first heard about this last month, just before Christmas, and had intended on doing a post about it – but completely forgot about it.  After reading the deleted words – it all came rushing back again.  I think you are absolutely correct – there is a definite agenda there and you don’t need to be a rocket surgeon to recognize it.

Steve Simbeck presents 4 out of 5 experts agree that 4 out of 5 experts are experts posted at No Mato mi Pavo, saying, “Written just before the inauguration but I think it still resonates.”

Hmmm…very interesting.  I guess I would have to say I’m an expert on superheroes since I watch cartoons!  Silly ain’t it?

Liberal

Madeleine Begun Kane presents No Quid? No Quo! posted at Mad Kane’s Political Madness.

Hi MadKane – welcome back.  Sure – there were concessions – but – this is a bloated spending bill and has absolutely nothing to do with stimulating the economy.  It will only increase the size of government.  This bill could be widdled down to $80Billion if it were truly just an economic stimulus bill.  I stand firm with those who opposed it – including the smart 11 Democrats who opposed it.  Not all the Dems were on “Stretch” Pelosi’s side on it either.

News

seth1492 presents Gaza Conflict: Tunneling to Egypt posted at Wait Wait… Do Tell Me!.

Hey Seth – I like the visuals.  Good discussion regarding the tunnels and the bombing of them.  Let’s hope Israel gets them shut down completely!

Silicon Valley Blogger presents No 2009 Economic Stimulus Check? How Obama’s Stimulus Plan Affects The Middle Class posted at The Digerati Life, saying, “Thanks!”

Nice summary of the stimulus plan – if you can actually call it that.  I’ll be posting up a detailed look at it here shortly.  One other thing you might point out regarding that $500 tax credit – other than you are correct – it’s not much – is that the $500 credit will be broken up incrementally over multiple paychecks – and therefore will have very little effect at all.  I don’t think those boneheads up in D.C. ever took a economics class or ever ran their own businesses.  If they did, they wouldn’t be putting stupid crap like what you pointed out in this plan.

Politics

Josh presents Government Reform: Oxymoron or Can It Happen? posted at Inside Government.

A great post looking at reform in Indiana.  This could possibly be a microcosmic look at how we can reshape the Federal government.  Great post, Josh.

Greg presents TNMilitant.com » Blog Archive » Terror shouldn’t be treated like other crimes. posted at TNMilitant.com.

Right on, Greg!  Those idiots on the left who want to treat terrorists like regular criminals just don’t get it.  These guys are considered enemy combatants when captured outside of U.S. territory – so – therefore – they should have not access to our courts as our constitution does not pertain to them.  The article you linked to is very eye-opening.  This is exactly what happens when you treat a terrorist like a regular criminal.

seth1492 presents Livni (Israel) says Bad Idea Barack posted at Wait Wait… Do Tell Me!.

Sorry, Seth – gonna have to agree with Livni on this one.  No head of any state should have open dialogue with rogue and terrorist leaders without preconditions.  Obama is drafting a letter in order to open up direct dialogue with Iran.  This goes against decades of foreign policy.  Not even past Democrat Presidents have ever dealt directly with rogue heads of states without preconditions.  What Obama is doing is very dangerous, and as Livni pointed out, shows weakness in the minds of the Arab world.  Your examples are incomplete.  Reagan never had direct conversations with Gorbachev until all the preconditions were met and only after other delegate teams met with the Russians first.  Obama needs to do the same thing.  Send Shillary or some other delegates first with the preconditions that have to be met first before we open dialogue.  Obama’s letter to Imanutjob will mean that Iran will surely see this as an opening to attack Israel openly.

Buck Says presents Pelosi In Charge: How can That Happen in a Sane World? posted at Buck Says, saying, “Nancy Pilosi and Harry Reed in charge?–We are in real trouble now.”

Hey Buck – I don’t know if you heard the interview with Virginia Congressman Eric Cantor – but – apparently, Obama pretty much said the same thing to him.  When Cantor pointed out to Mr. Obama that the people elected him because he promised change in government and to help the economy they needed tax cuts – Obama told him “I won. I will trump you on that.”  Obama and Pelosi are on the same page there.  I don’t think we will see any real change in government other than to see it get bigger.

Alexander Woods presents Rod Blagojevich: Crooked Politician or Machiavellian Hero? posted at The Daily Destiny.

Howdy Alexander – I guess it depends on how one looks at Machiavelli.  I personally did not see Machiavelli as a hero – I saw him as a crook who would say anything to get what he wants – a smooth talker.  For me – crooked politician and Machiavellian are one and the same.  But, you do justice by pointing out Blago’s absurdity.  Great post!

Allen Scott presents Give me, Give me, and then give me Some More posted at Journey Across the Sky.

Excellent use of scripture for backing up your points there Allen.  I would just change one thing – you say “We do not need bailouts or handouts.  We need repentence.”  Based on what you have written, I can see why you might say we need repentence.  However, I would say we need to take responsibility for our actions and to fix what we screwed up.  Sure, it might be Wall Street’s fault, in concert with our Fed, for the huge economic mess – but – each and every one of us have some responsibility for that downfall as well (part of which you point out.)  Rather than blame government and Wall Street – we need to accept the part we played in it and do what we need to do to fix it so that we can be responsible “parents” and not leave this burden to our children and their children.

Allen Scott presents Inauguration Day posted at Journey Across the Sky.

I actually read this after I responded to your previous submission.  An excellent discussion on taking responsibility rather than looking for that hand out!  Yes we can!  LOL.

That concludes this edition. Submit your blog article to the next edition of The BoBo Carnival of Politics using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.

Obama and wealth redistribution – The Audio!

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: A Nation at Risk, African-Americans, America, Civil Rights, Conservative, Constitution, Democrats, Elections, Hate, Liberals, Obama, Politics, President, Race, Racist, Republicans, Socialism, Taxes, US Constitution, government, marxism, video

Some of you may have heard this on Rush Limbaugh today – someone linked the audio to a youtube video. Listen to this yourselves. If you think Obama isn’t all about redistribution of wealth and socialism – you are sadly mistaken. For those of you who have friends and family that don’t listen to Rush or conservative talk radio – send them here to listen to it themselves – straight out of the socialist’s mouth!

Listen to this very closely my friends – he thinks that our constitution is flawed because it LIMITS government from interfering in your daily lives. He wants the government to be bigger and to be able to force things on the people as a whole. He sees our constitution as a negative in that it “tells you what the states CAN’T do to you. It tells you what the government CAN’T do to you.” Emphasis there is mine!

Notice – he wants the government to be able TO DO things TO YOU! Don’t buy in to his lies folks. He’s as socialist and redistributionist as they come!  He is saddened that the courts CAN’T force redistribution of wealth.  He will do it legislatively if he gets the Democratic super-majority and if he wins the election.  He will put in judges that will attempt to force this on you through laws!

I also found a link to the full story here.  He thinks the Warren Court decision wasn’t radical enough in that it didn’t provide for redistributive properties – he wants to be able to take your hard earned dollars and give it to “the dispossessed” as he calls it. His only agenda is to take from “the rich white folk” and give it to black Americans.

Hey, if that isn’t reverse racism I don’t know what is. Don’t get me wrong – despite the fact that those on the left will automatically label me as racist just because I won’t vote for Obama – the fact is I am very charitable with MY OWN money. I don’t need Obama and the Dummicrats to take it from me and give it out to whomever they want. I give to ministries around here that don’t discriminate and will take care of ALL the poor in the area regardless of sex, race, etc. Obama’s policies ONLY benefit the poor black Americans. Remember – he attended a church for 20 years that preached white-hate.

If I’m a racist because I think we should give charity non-discriminately of our own accord rather than have the government take our money to give to the poor black-Americans – then so be it! I guess I’m a racist. But, please take heed and listen closely to his words.  He has not changed!
