I oppose Phil's position because it doesn't make much sense. Here in America, we count on other countries for so many produced goods and services, that to deny foreign aid is tantamount to committing suicide. Because of the trade imbalance and the fact we don't manufacture anything, we need to acquire resources from these same countries we are giving money to for causes.
