Obama Announces his energy plan!

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: America, Democrats, Elections, Idiots, Obama, energy, gas

His advice? “There are things you can do individually, though, to save energy,” Obama said. “Making sure your tires are properly inflated – simple thing. But we could save all the oil that they’re talking about getting off drilling – if everybody was just inflating their tires? And getting regular tune-ups? You’d actually save just as much!”

Yup – inflate your tires and get regular tune-ups! What a freakin’ genius this guy is! I really want someone like this as MY President! Does he really think we could save billions of barrels a day just from regular tune-ups and tire inflation? Who the hell was the adviser behind this brilliant suggestion? We know he didn’t come up with this himself since he can’t think on his feet. Some idiot planted this one..and he parroted it. If this is the kind of advisers he’s going to surround himself with…I definitely DON’T want this guy as MY President.

As Bugs Bunny Would say -

What a maroon!

I know who I’m voting for now!

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: A Nation at Risk, African-Americans, America, Obama

With a message of peace and brotherly love like this…how could you not vote for Obama?

I’m back on it like I just signed my record deal
yeah the best is here, the Bentley Coup paint is dripping wet, it got sex appeal
never should have hated
you never should’ve doubted him
with a slot in the president’s iPod Obama shattered ‘em
Said I handled his biz and I’m one of his favorite rappers
Well give Luda a special pardon if I’m ever in the slammer
Better yet put him in office, make me your vice president
Hillary hated on you, so that bitch is irrelevant
Jesse talking slick and apologizing for what?
if you said it then you meant it how you want it have a gut!
and all you other politicians trying to hate on my man,
watch us win a majority vote in every state on my man
you can’t stop what’s bout to happen, we bout to make history
the first black president is destined and it’s meant to be
the threats ain’t fazing us, the nooses or the jokes
so get off your ass, black people, it’s time to get out and vote!
paint the White House black and I’m sure that’s got ‘em terrified
McCain don’t belong in ANY chair unless he’s paralyzed
Yeah I said it cause Bush is mentally handicapped
Ball up all of his speeches and I throw em like candy wrap
cause what you talking I hear nothing even relevant
and you the worst of all 43 presidents
get out and vote or the end will be near
the world is ready for change because Obama is here!
cause Obama is here
The world is ready for change because Obama is here!

Those are the lyrics of Ludacris’s latest song. You know, the guy who has personally visited Obama at his Chicago office several times. The same guy who Obama has said is very talented and a great business man. Do you think Obama is going to denounce these lyrics? What lame excuse will Obama give us this time for his association with extreme rappers like this?

“Ummm, errr, this is not the same man who I came to know when he visited me in my office. I have never heard him sing lyrics like this before, not even when he opened for my Atlanta speech.”

Seriously, you guys on the left really need to pay attention to who this guy hangs out with. You can’t associate yourself with individuals like these on a regular basis and expect the American public to believe you don’t think the same way!

No Good News Coming out of DC today!

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: America, Congress, Constitution, Democrats, Pelosi, Politics, government, oil

Do I even need to source anything here today?  First – Ted Stevens (R) Alaska – what an asshole!  Did he seriously think he could cover up $250,000 in “gifts” from big oil execs from VECO?  This guy is a classic case why we need term limits.  I know..we the people set the term limits, just vote their asses out…but..there are too many people out there just willing to vote party lines.  With people like him on the right and “Cold Cash” Jefferson and “Real Estate” Reid on the left..it just goes to show – they are all corrupt up there in D.C.  Is there not a decent person in Washington anymore?  I say come November, we start over completely.  If there’s a Dem in there now..vote for the Republican or Independent/Libertarian.  If there’s a Republican in there…vote for the Dem or the Independent/Libertarian.  We need to send a message to D.C. that we won’t take their power plays and corruption any longer.  Vote all of the incumbents out!

Next up – Nancy “Stretch” Pelosi (I know, I stole that from Mark Levin) – She’s been on the Today show and John Stewart show hocking her book.  John Stewart actually asked the tough question…why won’t she allow a debate and vote on offshore drilling!  You have to read the transcript to believe her response!  Here’s an exerpt from the discussion regarding drilling for oil:

Stewart: Tell me about the drilling; that’s the one thing I couldn’t wrap my head around. You know, I know there’s talk about drilling in some offshore areas; you didn’t want that to come up for a vote.

Pelosi: Well, in the past 2 weeks or so, the President is trying to maintain that, but for the offshore drilling in protected areas, the economy would be in great shape. I can’t let him get away with that. So the point is this: did you know that, in the “Lower 48,” there are 68 million acres [28 million hectares] that are approved for drilling, 33 million [13 Mha] of which are offshore. In Alaska — you wanna drill in Alaska, we’ll give you Alaska: there are tens of millions of acres in Alaska approved for drilling. But they want to drill in the protected areas.

Emphasis here is mine! Notice – she makes it personal. She puts personal grudges and politics ahead of the will of the people.  80% of this country has supported offshore drilling and extracting more of our own natural resources – but – she ignores our voices in order to play “Gotcha.”

Stewart: Is there oil underneath those acres?

Pelosi: Oh, tons of oil. Great oil.

Again – more lies! She knows damned well that most of those leases have already been explored and have been found to be duds. There’s nothing in those leases to extract!!

Stewart: Can’t you just open up the whole damned thing?

Pelosi: Well, why would you — in other words, we’re saying to them —

Stewart: You say drill the stuff you’ve already got.

Pelosi: “Use it or lose it!” Drill where you have the environmental permits and the approvals to go ahead, or lose that and let somebody else drill that.

What a bitch! The reason why no one else has drilled there is because THERE’S NOTHING THERE!!!!

Stewart: I’m saying, let’s steal everybody else’s milkshake. [reference to the film There Will Be Blood] That’s what I’m saying: let’s get the straws in there —

Pelosi: As long as it’s chocolate, right.

Stewart: Exactly.

Pelosi: Well, then, but also —

Stewart: So you think, no vote for that?

Pelosi: Well, for two weeks, they’ve been saying, “Oh, she won’t let us have a vote on it!” For ten years we couldn’t have a vote on the minimum wage, and nobody made a big fuss about that, and when we came in, we brought it to the floor vote on the minimum wage, the first time in 10 years. So they can try to make their case —

Again – for her – it’s a personal issue. The reason why minimum wage was not brought to the floor is because its bad for the economy and bad for business. Economics 101 tells you when you force a minimum wage on employers – they have to lay off people in order to meet those wages for others.  Not only that, minimum wage is NOT INTENDED to be a living wage!  It’s a stepping stone wage – you know – bottom of the rung employees looking to work their way up.  The minimum wage only effects about 2 million people in this country – mostly teens.  If you are married with kids making minimum wage – you’ve got a real problem!  But..don’t put it on the American people and on businesses to pay your minimum waged ass at age 40 because you don’t have a decent education.  There’s enough freakin’ government grants available to people like that to go back to college and earn a living wage.

What a freakin douchebag this lady is!

Can someone tell me what part of the constitution gives one person the power over an entire nation? My understanding is that Article I , Section 2, Clause 5 only states the House will choose their speaker. The constitution does not give the Speaker of the House the ability to dictate the agenda. It does not give the SOTH the authority to keep things OFF the agenda. (Nelson, if you read this perhaps you could point me in the direction of the constitution that grants the SOTH so much authority)  She was on the Today show and said her purpose for not allowing it to come to debate and vote is because “I’m saving the planet.” So – she puts her allegiance to the far left eco-terrorists and their extreme environmentalist agenda over the welfare of the people of this country.

Again – I say – come November – vote out ALL of the incumbents. The Dems feel they have November locked up already and that Obama is already crowned and they will gain more seats in both chambers of Congress. Let’s tell them HELL NO!!!!

Why?

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: African-Americans, BoBo Award, Civil Rights, Democrats, Hispanic-Americans, Liberals, Politics, Republicans

This is actually the second post I wrote on this blog – but – I had no audience then..so..figured I would bring this back up hoping to get some real answers to this question.

Seriously, why? Why is it that our African-American and Hispanic American brothers and sisters typically vote Democrat? With known racists in the Democrat party such as George McGovern, David Dukes, and Robert Byrd, why do they still insist on voting Democrat? Even Black leaders are stating that “The Democratic Party is the architect of modern day racism.” Even the so-called liberator and civil rights President – Lyndon B. Johnson was a segregationist:

Lyndon Johnson never believed in racial segregation. He pushed for the civil rights bill, but as a Southerner, he had to be politically careful. He could not attack segregation outright without jeopardizing his chances of being re-elected. Still, Johnson was convinced that segregation condemned the South to educational and economic backwardness. Johnson believed that, in order to join the mainstream of America, the South would have to abandon racial segregation. Most important, Lyndon Johnson wanted to be president of the United States — he realized he would never be accepted outside the South if he were perceived as just another Southern segregationist.

When we look at the differences between the liberal agenda of the Democratic Party and the conservative views of the Republican Party and then compare them to the value systems of most African-American and Hispanic-American families we find that their value systems are more closely tied to the conservative views. Conservatives are pro-life, pro-family, pro-self responsibility, and pro-self reliance. Most African-Americans and Hispanic-Americans are very pro-church and consider themselves to be religious people. Again, I ask you, why do they typically vote Democrat? I just don’t get it!

I hope that one of our African-American or Hispanic-American brothers or sisters reading this will provide a very logical and coherent response to this question. How is it that the Democratic Party hi-jacked the civil rights platform of the Republican Party? After all, wasn’t it Abraham Lincoln (a Republican) who freed the slaves and drafted the Emancipation Proclamation? Wasn’t it Howard Smith (a Democrat) in 1963 who promised “to keep the Civil Rights bill bottled up indefinitely?” This is the same guy who was quoted as saying “The Southern people have never accepted the colored race as a race of people who had equal intelligence . . . as the white people of the South.” In fact, it was the Democrats who filibustered the bill..led by none other than the aforementioned Robert Byrd. The Republicans were able to muster enough votes and broke the filibuster. After LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 into law on July 2, 1964, he is quoted as having said “We have lost the South for a generation.”

Why is it that up until 1935 every African-American who was ever seated in government was a Republican? I still don’t understand how the Democrats hi-jacked the civil rights platform of the Republican Party. It was the Republican Party who introduced and passed the Civil Rights Act of 1875 that was overturned 8 years later by the Supreme Court as being unconstitutional. It was the heart and soul of the Civil Rights Act of 1875 that was passed as the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Again, there were more Republicans than Democrats that voted to institute the CRA of 1964. For our Hispanic brothers and sisters…were you told that the very first Hispanic Senator elected was…yup..a Republican. He was from New Mexico and elected in 1928.

Two of the co-founders of the NAACP, Ida Wells and Mary Terrell, were African-American Republican women! The Republican Party is RICH with a history of supporting equal rights for all Americans and is the party of civil rights. Conversely, the Democrat Party is the original supporters of the KKK! (this link is from The University of Indiana).

“By the time the six Klan founders met in December, 1865, the opening phase of Reconstruction was nearly complete. All eleven of the former rebel states had been rebuilt on astonishingly lenient terms which allowed many of the ex-Confederate leaders to return to positions of power. Southern state legislatures began enacting laws that made it clear that the aristocrats who ran them intended to yield none of their pre-war power over poor whites and especially over blacks. These laws became known as the Black Codes and in some cases they amounted to a virtual re-enslavement of blacks.

In Louisiana the Democratic convention resolved that “we hold this to be a Government of White People, made and to be perpetuated for the exclusive benefit of the White Race, and….that the people of African descent cannot be considered as citizens of the United States.” Mississippi and Florida in particular enacted vicious black codes, other southern states (except North Carolina) passed somewhat less severe versions, and President Andrew Johnson did nothing to prevent them from being enforced.

These laws and the violence that erupted against blacks and union supporters in the South outraged Northerners who just a few months before had celebrated victory not only over the Confederacy, but its system of slavery as well. In protest of the defiant Black Codes, Congress refused to seat the new Southern senators and representatives when it reconvened in December 1865 after a long recess. Thus at the moment the fledgling Klan was born in Pulaski, the stage was set for a showdown between Northerners determined not to be cheated out of the fruits of their victory and die-hard Southerners who refused to give up their supremacy over blacks.

Ironically, the increasingly violent activities of the Klan throughout 1866 tended to help prove the argument of Radical Republicans in the North, who wanted harsher measures taken against Southern governments as part of their program to force equal treatment for blacks. Partly as a result of news reports of Klan violence in the South, the Radicals won overwhelming victories in the Congressional elections of 1866. “

So..with all of this overwhelming evidence, why is it that our African-American and Hispanic-American brothers and sisters continue to support the Democratic Party and vote for the liberal agenda..an agenda that is so completely the opposite of their own values and belief systems? How is it that Black Leaders such as Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton and other religious activitists like themselves continue to push their brothers and sisters towards a party that only serves to oppress them? How is it that Hispanic activists such as Dolores Huerta and Hector Flores continue to push their brothers and sisters towards a party that only panders to them for their votes?

I guess, the main question should be how did the Republican Party allow the Democratic Party to hi-jack the greatest civil rights accomplishments and make them theirs? After that, I gotta ask our African-American and Hispanic-American friends….Why? Why the Democrats?

From Texas Fred’s – Iraq-bound guards penalized for breaking apartment lease.

MCKINNEY – A North Texas couple is getting ready for their second deployment overseas.

They’re leaving to serve their country but instead they’ve been served with fees from their landlord.

“It’s a job, we have to do it,” said Chris Horvath.

But they’re leaving with added stress, since they’ve been in a fight with their apartment complex – McKinney’s El Lago development.

The couple, both of whom are sergeants in the Texas National Guard, are soon headed to Iraq.
