Oh, NOW P-BO decides to follow the Constitution?

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: ACORN, Constitution, P-BO, Politics, government

Of course, when it has to do with P-BO’s buddies at ACORN – they would decided to find an interpretation of the Constitution to their liking

ACORN Can Be Paid, Justice Department Says

I found this little tidbit to be very disturbing – yet informative as it relates to this administration and their agenda

Mr. Barron said he had based his conclusion on the statute’s phrase “provided to.” This phrase, he said, has no clearly defined meaning in the realm of government spending — unlike words like “obligate” and “expend.”

Citing dictionary and thesaurus entries, he said “provided to” could be interpreted as meaning only instances in which an official was making “discretionary choices” about whether to give the group money, rather than instances in which the transfer of money to Acorn was required to satisfy contractual obligations.

Since there are two possible ways to construe the term “provided to,” Mr. Barron wrote, it makes sense to pick the interpretation that allows the government to avoid breaching contracts.

Moreover, he argued, requiring the government to cancel contracts with a specifically named entity — “including even in cases where performance has already been completed but payment has not been rendered” — would raise constitutional concerns best avoided by interpreting the law differently.

If you recall, during the auto bailouts – the auto industry had actual obligations to pay out bond holders and those with preferred stock first.  Instead – they gave control of the companies to the Unions ahead of investors.  There is a constitutional and contractual obligation to pay these people out first or to give them first rights of refusal.  Given what the AG said above – how is it not unlawful then what they did to the investors?  I know it went through SCOTUS and SCOTUS ultimately decided to side with the administration – but – isn’t this now contradictory to that ruling?

I really hate politicians.  All I can say is that we are now less than 1 year away from the 2010 elections.  I will be actively campaigning against all those who oppose the constitution – whether Republicans or Democrats.

I’m just glad to see that Darrell Issa is still on the case. Go get ‘em Darrell.  Challenge this and keep pushing against it – there is no reason that a corrupt organization like ACORN should ever get taxpayer funding to continue their illegal activities and racketeering.

“Taxpayers should not have to continue subsidizing a criminal enterprise that helped Barack Obama get elected president,” Issa’s statement continued. “The politicization of the Justice Department to payback one of the president’s political allies is shameful and amounts to nothing more than old-fashioned cronyism.”

Exactly!

Friday Funnies – A chip off the BoBo!

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: Children, Friday, Funnies, Humor

Princess

This is my little princess.  Rather than be fodder this week for posting jokes or pictures – I would relate a story – one that just happened.  It has to do with that lovely little lady up there.  She made her daddy proud.  We were at the mall the other day.  She has a sweet tooth for cookies – she acquired that from her mother – well, whenever we go to the mall – we always get her one of those big chocolate chip cookies to munch on.  It keeps her busy.

Well, we were in Old Navy looking for more kids clothes – my 5 year old must be hitting a growth spurt.  In any case, there were three little chairs for the kids to sit in while the parents shop.  We had her sit in the chair while she eats her cookie so she wouldn’t be tempted to wipe her hands on the clothes.  Two other little girls came walking up to her.  The older girl looked to be about 5 and she was holding her little sister’s hand – she looked to be around 3 also.  They both just stood over my little princess staring at her – or more like staring at her cookie.  When my daughter has a cookie – she’s like this

angry_dog

The smaller of the two girls started walking towards my daughter.  My daughter didn’t even turn her head.  She just lowered her cookie, glanced out of the corner of her eyes and loudly stated

“DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!”

Needless to say – the two little girls walked away at the point and my little princess proceeded to finish off her cookie.  This left both my wife and I chuckling (as well as a few other shoppers).  Yes, my little princess made her daddy proud that day.  I now know that she isn’t going to take any shit from anybody and she certainly isn’t going to let anyone take advantage of her.  A chip off the old BoBo!

A reminder – Obama is not comfortable with “victory” in Afghanistan

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: America, Iraq, Islamofascists, P-BO, Politics, Soldiers, Terrorists, Troops

h/t to Roger who provided a link to this in response to a comment I left on Breitbart.  I had completely forgotten about this.  If you want to understand why P-BO still can’t make a decision regarding Afghanistan – or why it took three months to respond to General McChrystal’s request – this says  it all.

P-BO isn’t interested in winning this war in Afghanistan. If he were, he wouldn’t be sending over JUST 34,000 troops over a year’s period. If he were serious about winning either war in Afghanistan or Iraq – he would send everything we have and put the full force of American military might on those terrorists. We could be completely done with both countries and both wars if he would just unleash the American war machine. We have the most technologically advanced weaponry in the world – yet – our soldiers are left wondering from house-to-house searching for these islamofascist scumbags. This is war for crying out loud. Send in the freakin’ heavy artillery and just wipe them out. Nope – instead – we have three honorable Navy Seals being sent to court martial because a terrorist scumbag got a bloody lip (well, not just any terrorist scumbag – a high priority Al-Qaeda leader scumbag).

Grow some balls P-BO and quit playing politics with our soldiers.  Even Britain is now calling you a dithering idiot for waiting too long.  Finish this damned war the right way, with VICTORY, or bring them home already.  This could be ended by Christmas for sure if you just went all in.
