Weekend mish-mosh and blogroll stuff

Taking a break for the day from the regular ol’ stuff to bring you some items of interest. First up is a new addition to my blogroll:
Opposing Views – I think you all might enjoy this website. It is a balanced look at the news in the blogosphere. They have sections on politics, society, health, money, and religion and each of those headers have subsections of topics. As I’ve been reading through some of the posts there – they are all very well written and researched. This website is a very useful resource for finding many of the important stories in the news. There is also a debates section where you can weigh in on the issues with experts on the subject. If you get an opportunity, check out the members of the team – a very impressive list of contributors. If you like what you see – let them know – and – add them to your blogrolls as well.
Petition Against the Legitimacy of Obama’s Presidency - This is still an issue in this country – and it’s gaining a lot of following. There is a groundswell of support out there now requesting that Obama release his birth certificate, passport records, and college records to confirm that he is indeed an American citizen. The man has spent $millions to keep these records sealed. Why would anybody spend that kind of money if they had nothing to hide? Check out this petition and if you agree – please sign.
Reboot Congress in 2010 – This is a great cause! This is a pledge that you will not vote in any incumbents in 2010. It also sends an e-mail to your House Representative and your State Senators letting them know you will not vote for them in the next election cycle. It’s time to reboot our government and the only way to do it is to kick all those bums out.
The American Conservative Party – Please check these guys out. I have joined this new party as I truly believe in their platform. Browse around the website and read the platform issue. If you agree – please sign up. I’m one of the party organizers for the state of Florida and am putting all my efforts in growing this party here in my state. If you want to help out in your state – let them know. This is a party for Conservatives. It is not a party of “right wing nutjobs.” We believe in restoring fiscal conservatism to our government and putting the constitution back in its rightful place. If you have been disenfranchised by your party – take a look here.

That petition looks like a load of rubbish to me. Did George W. Bush ever have to show his birth certificate to the public? No. So why should Obama? Just because he is black? Being American is a mere concept anyway…
P.S I love that this is getting a “groundswell” of popular feeling…an amazing 810 signatures. That’s nearly as many people who sponsored me to hop round work for a whole day. Truly groundbreaking.

@Really Orchid? According to the 14th Amendment of our Constitution – EVERY individual running for President should provide their birth certificate in order to meet the requirements. And – George Bush didn’t have to provide his birth certificate as it was on record in the State of Texas where he as Governor and with the military. Besides – there was no question about his birth as both of his parents were American and born in America. This is not about a black man being the President – this is about an individual born to a British Citizen and the person who claims to be an American may have potentially been born outside of this country to that British Citizen whereby making him unqualified to be President according to the 14th Amendment. You libs just automatically jump on race.
Go ahead call me a racist all you want. This is about protecting America and U.S. Constitution. But – keep coming around so you can show the rest of the world how idiotic you guys are that you don’t care about the rule of law – just as this usurper doesn’t either.
The petition hasn’t gotten around yet. The reference to the Groundswell is the fact that news outlets are starting to finally get on this story and there have been many polls in the last month that has shown that as many as 40+% of those polled are not beginning to ask the same questions about this guy’s qualifications that we were on well before the election. Obama has spent $1 million in legal fees to cover this up. It was recently reported that as far back as 2002 he hired lawyers to find out if there was a way to get around the 14th Amendment. Why would he do that?
