Welcome to another fine edition of the Carnival.  There aren’t very many this week – which means you should be able to get through all of them this time! :)   What we lack this week in quantity is surely made up in quality.

Conservative

lsm presents Who?s Drawing ?Old Battle Lines?? posted at awaken the elephants blog.

I don’t think I can add anything more here.  I believe you have said it all.  Just goes to prove the hypocrisy of this President, doesn’t it?

Acon presents Breaking: We Scooped Obama Normandy Speech! posted at Conunderground.com, saying, “We got an advance copy of the up coming Normandy speech”

Wow!  Awesome!  Bwahahaha!

Super Saver presents Government Ownership is the New Welfare posted at My Wealth Builder, saying, “The government take over Chrysler and GM looks like a new form of welfare to me.”

Short – but sweet and to the point.

Libertarian

My Journey presents Is the United States Turning towards Communism? posted at My Journey to Millions, saying, “Are we moving towards communism? I think so”

Actually, I would say you are spot on.  We’re slowly moving through the stages right now – corporatism to fascism to communism.  I guess my only concern is that you are happy to see #10.  You do realize that means educating the children to work for the state – right?  That is happening already with all the social programs and indoctrination of our children in public schools.  These social programs have taken front seat to the fundamentals of the three “R’s”.  I hope you will take a closer look at the meaning of #10.

Miscellaneous

C. E. Dowalt presents Obama and the Fourth Reich, Part 2 posted at Money Confidential.

Well, the good news is that someone out there has grown a pair and decided to challenge the constitutionality of the government takeover – if you haven’t heard about this yet – this would be a good one for you to follow as a follow-on to these posts of yours.  The Treasury Secretary of Indiana filed a lawsuit that is now headed to the Appeals Court.  The bailout was initially upheld in their district court.  The premise behind their lawsuit is that Indiana, as a GM bondholder (secured creditor), is entitled to 100% and should be paid out first.  This is definitely a good one!

C. E. Dowalt presents The Golden State as Metaphor: California Agonistes posted at Money Confidential.

Thanks for this history lesson re California.  I have contracts out in California and I can tell you that state is so confused it’s not even funny!  What’s amazing is that there are a lot of Conservatives in California – but – somehow the large concentration of liberals in the major cities always outweighs any conservative votes.  I’m surprised Conservatives still live there.  I think California can make a comeback as well.  Given the recent tax revolt out there – I think the people in that state are starting to wake up.  Unfortunately, as you pointed out, the Obama plan is following the California plan that drove them in to ruins.  We can only hope the rest of America wakes up before its too late.

News

Allen Scott presents Judging Rightly: Supreme Court Justices posted at A View from the Nest, saying, “Keeping my eagle eye out for things that masquerade as truth. Exposing the liars amongst us.”

I would say you knocked that one out of the park Allen.  I’m hoping there will be enough Republicans in D.C. to block this nomination.  As you rightly pointed out, because of her “experience” as a Latina woman – she will not judge by the rule of law.  She will judge just as Obama wants her to – with empathy.  We need someone who will be intellectually honest and will rule based on the constitution and will research the intent of the founding fathers as it relates to the case in front of him/her.  Sotomayor will not keep lady justice blind and she has pretty much said so.

Politics

Donovan presents How to Be an Effective Truth-Seeker posted at Storm of Thought, saying, “How great the world would be if people thought through what they ranted about. Politics would be much easier.”

I think you speak to the heart of the purpose of this Carnival.  All sides of an issue and discussion are welcome here.  I frequently travel through the liberal blogs to see what they are saying about the issues that I am writing about as well.  I believe you need to have both sides of any story before you can truly understand the issue.  I think you are correct in that we have to question everything.  If you never question – you become a sheep – blindly following along with the status quo.  I have on occasion agreed with the “opposition” after some concrete evidence has been presented.  However, what I see often on those “opposition” blogs are emotionally based opinions not based in fact at all.  I had a conversation with my wife just yesterday – I told her about an article I read about some idiot global warmongerer who blamed the Air France crash on global warming and how that kind of stuff really pisses me off.  She asked “Well, why do you listen to it if it pisses you off so much?” – And – that was pretty much my response – because I need to hear both sides.  Good post.

Rick Foreman presents Wars, What Are They Good For? Absolutely Nothing posted at Waiting for the Singularity.

I always liked that song by Whitfield and Strong.  However, while I think you make some good arguments for our current “War on ….” I think what you forget is that this country became a strong independent nation from one single war – The Revolutionary War.  We are free Americans as a result of that war.  Sure – wouldn’t it be great if we could all live peacefully?  I certainly see your point on drugs, crime, and pre-marital sex – but – sometimes freedom and democracy comes at a very real price.

Republicans

Rick Sincere presents Adnan Barqawi’s Speech at the RPV Convention posted at Rick Sincere News and Thoughts, saying, “This speech by a recent American citizen was the hit of the Virginia GOP convention. The video is bound to go viral.”

Simply awesome.  If you don’t mind – I will take this video off your website and post up later in the week – of course giving credit to you.  I think this is something that all Americans need to hear.  Americans have taken for granted what this kid sees as an opportunity.  He is proof that America still is, and can forever be, a beacon of hope for all.  As this country marches towards the path to socialism – we should realize what a huge mistake that would be for this country and the world.  I think this kid said it all.  Thanks for submitting this to the Carnival.

That concludes this edition. Submit your blog article to the next edition of The BoBo Carnival of Politics using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.

There are many of us in California that are awake, that have always been awake. You are right about lots of conservatives here. California is a welfare state, a programs states, filled to the brim with illegal aliens. Spanish is the first language here in the central valley. I wish I could move out of this state, but I can’t.

    Have a terrific day. :)

Thanks for your kind words about my video of Adnan Barqawi’s speech to the delegates of the Republican Party of Virginia’s convention last month.

Please feel free to put the video clips on your web site. You can find the embed codes on YouTube.

I hope your readers enjoy the speech as much as the political activists in the Richmond Coliseum did.
