A quote that puts Obama’s power grab in to perspective

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: A Nation at Risk, America, Congress, McCain, Obama, Politics, RINO, Socialism, government

As many of you know here I’m not really a big supporter of Lindsay Graham.  I believe he, as his good buddy McCain is, just another one of those RINO’s and part of the reason why we are in the mess we are today.  However, he said something today that, in my mind, really put this whole thing in to perspective.

“In a few years we will all drive our government made automobiles to the government owned banks to get a government backed home loan and if we get hurt on the way back we will go to the government owned hospital to get government paid health care from government employed physicians.”

The sad thing is – it’s true. I hope this worries you all as much as it does me.  In case you’re wondering, I am no longer just blogging about this kind of stuff.  I am now actively participating to try to reverse this crap.  I’m proud to announce that I am now the Florida State Chair for the American Conservative Party as well as being on the state organizing committee.  It is my job to help grow this party in Florida and to participate in the national organization as well.

I won’t go in to details about the ACP in this post – that is for a later day.  I just want to point out that now is the time to become active and do something rather than sit back and complain.  It doesn’t matter what or how you do it – but – just get out there and participate.

    Congratulations Bobo!

    The ACP does look pretty cool as I have said before, but like I said, it’s a third party, so it will be a lot of hard work, but you are the perfect person to get it moving strong in Florida.

    And Graham’s quote is a bit scary, but I really do have faith in the American people that they will open their eyes and see that we are going so far in the wrong direction that it will soon be illegal to make a u-turn.

    There will always be faith, but we need more people like you to get people going in the right direction.

    Congratulations on your stepping up to the plate.

    What Bradley said about the American people opening their eyes. I think this is beginning to happen now.

    Have a terrific day. :)

    Congrats Bobo on your position. Maybe you can help create a real agenda for your party and come up with some much needed leadership in a desperate time. I disagree with Graham’s comments. I think someone has to keep these industries honest and this is long overdue. The greed is out of control and until now no one has done anything to protect the little guy. If these industries cant or wont reform themselves, the govt needs to step in and make them do right. All the comments about socialism are from greedy people who want to remain in power and money. Anytime someone’s pockets are challenged, a smear campaign is sure to follow. After these industry’s are reformed, I am certain the so called socialism move will end. In four years, you guys will have a chance to undo all that Obama has done, that’s democracy.

    I’m not a Lindsay Graham fan myself, but even a broken clock is right sometimes.

    The amount of government interference in our everyday lives is growing every day and it is terrifying… I just hope that there are a few Dems out there watching the polls, and are more worried about saving their jobs than facilitating our Affirmative Action President’s goals of Government Domination.

    @Bradley – I plan on posting something up about the ACP. Yes, we are a 3d party – but – we’re still growing. The main idea in the short term is to provide support to conservative candidates or push the Republicans to take a more conservative stance. We are more focused in our local areas with regards to party recognition. We’re not looking to win state or national elections right now.

    @Sandee – I hope so!

    @Casey – sending to your e-mail.

    @Ndefence – apparently you missed it all. The reason GM is in trouble is BECAUSE of government interference. The reason why AIG and the banks are in trouble IS BECAUSE of government interference. The reason why the private sector as a whole is in trouble IS BECAUSE of government interference. If the government would stay out of the way – the free market system of capitalism will weed these kinds of businesses out if they fail. The government forced unions on the American automakers and the idiotic CAFE standards. The government forced banks to give risky loans to those who can’t afford to own homes. The government caused the problems with insurance companies like AIG who took on risk as a result of all those subprime loans that the government forced on the banks. The government was never intended to “protect the little guy.” The “little guy” needs to be more responsible for their own actions. A true free-market capitalist system allows the “little guy” to tell those truly greedy people to go to hell. It’s all about personal responsibility. You apparently have not realized that the only true greedy people who want power are our politicians on both sides of the aisle. The private sector is not the problem – it’s the public sector that is directly responsible for all the woes of this country right now. And..this is not a “so called socialism movement.” Might I suggest you look up the term socialism. You will see that what this government is doing truly does fit in that definition. Actually, it fits closer in to the definition of fascism as I pointed out a few posts back. I realize you are supporting Obama – just don’t do it blindly. Please look to our constitution and our founding fathers to understand what this country is supposed to be about. It is not about the government taking care of “the little guy.” What this current administration is doing is stripping away our freedom to make choices. If you don’t see that coming then you don’t have a clear understanding of the history of this country, nor can you see where we are headed.

    @Jana – unfortunately, if they are only poll watchers – that means nothing will change in 2010. We need to get them all outta there regardless based on their latest activities.

    The simple words that he said reveals the truth. I guess Obama said it right but not perfectly. I hope with what he said there will be a lot of change. Change in the sense that on how would people see things in a positive manner.

    Obama’s words may have a positive effect on the community if they would understand Obama’s words in a positive way. He said a phrase that is really true but some may interpret is as a negative phrase. People don’t see things in the same way, there are those might interpret it as a negative in the sense that they are highly affected by the statement maybe financially or socially.
