Latest Poll – Americans DON’T Want Obamacare!

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: America, Congress, Democrats, Idiots, Obama, Politics, government, health care

H/T to FullosseousFlap’s Dental Blog for alerting me to this via facebook.

The latest Quinnipiac Poll – the majority of Americans oppose Obamacare – especially if it will add to the deficit in any way.

Here’s just a couple of items:

By a 72 – 21 percent margin, voters do not believe that President Barack Obama will keep his promise to overhaul the health care system without adding to the deficit, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University national poll finds.

American voters disapprove 52 – 39 percent of the way President Obama is handling health care, down from 46 – 42 percent approval July 1, with 60 – 34 percent disapproval from independent voters. Voters say 59 – 36 percent that Congress should not pass health care reform if only Democratic members support it.

There is a lot more to that poll and these numbers – go check it out.

What this means is that the Dems, while their out on their townhall tours trying to sell this to the people – the people are telling them – Hell Freakin’ No!  I’m sure by now you’ve all seen or heard about the videos of Congressmen getting booed and shouted down at their meetings as they continue to spread their lies.

Here’s the big question – if that many Americans oppose this thing – why the hell are our elected representatives not listening to WE THE PEOPLE! Here’s what I don’t get— WE elected THEM.  They are supposed to be OUR voices in D.C.  They are supposed to do as WE ask.  In addition, they are the third leg of the government that is supposed to be part of a checks and balance system.  Why is it then that they feel beholden to the President over their constituents?  They’re supposed to be checking that President and making sure he’s not crossing the lines.

Instead – they’re helping him to cross all the damned lines and they are following his orders like good little minions rather than listening to the will of the people.  Check out this video where Steny Hoyer got called out by one of his constituents.  The point is – the people were telling him NO – yet – he continues to sell this Obamacare.  His response should have been – “Okay, I here ya. I’ll go back to D.C. and vote No.”  Instead he’s being a good little sheeple and toeing the party line and pushing something on us we don’t want.

Vote them all out in 2010!  We need to send the message that we don’t want career politicians – and especially those who don’t do their jobs or listen to their constituents.

I’m sure those polls were only taken among people paid off by the insurance lobby to be “angry mobs”…

Surely no “real” American would be against the government takeover of their health care?

That can’t be right, I heard a lib on TV say that most Americans support this bill.  They would not lie to make it appear that there is a mandate for socialism.  You are just part of that angry mob attacking our dear President.  You are a racist and should be ashamed of yourself.

I just wrote about how this healthcare reform does nothing for quality healthcare itself…I took a poll on facebook and was surprised to find that the majority were opposed to universal healthcare.  I figured all the loony left college students would be gung-ho on board with this, perhaps not.  There’s hope for us yet.

Sorry for the delay in responding to everyone – I just had to make sure that I was on that “snitch” list first! LOL.  Not only am I one of those angry mobsters dressed in Brooks Brothers suits, but, I’ve been passing on some serious disinformation about healthcare on this blog.

For any of you people out there that just might actually “snitch” on me to the government at flag@whitehouse.gov – please make sure you get the link right – http://thebobofiles.com.  If you really want – you can even give them my direct e-mail address  thebobofiles AT gmail DOT com (put it that way to keep the spam bots away).

As I said in my post last week – this is not health care reform – this is giving everyone insurance using our money and grabbing power away from we the people through regulating our lives.  I’m glad more people are waking up to this administration.  I still can’t understand why all those lefties who complained that Bush was violating their rights can’t see that Obama makes Bush look like a puppy compared the pit bull administration currently in there now.

These Congressmen/women and Senators seem to have forgotten who put them in office in the first place. Well, guess what!, WE put you there Mr. Politician, and until the U.S. is no longer a free country, WE can remove your hind end from office as well! Let them live as “Joe Citizen” and see how they like the “changes” presented by our “leader”…and the gang of thugs he has placed as our watchdogs…I believe we refer to them as “Czars”..?

We first heard from the birthers, with their fake “birth certificate” in hand and with their fake outrage. These are the same under tones that you saw from Republicans during the confirmation hearings for Sonia Sotomayor, “you are not like us” or “you are too different”, “you are not main stream”. And then they act surprised when people do not vote with them, they are lost, no core beliefs, too bad.

In my opinion the Republican Party has been taken over the most extreme religious right (people who love to push their beliefs on others while at the same time trying to take away their rights) and that’s who they need to focus on if they real want to win. Good Luck, because as they said in WACO, “We Ain’t Coming Out”.

It’s funny we hear Republicans say that they do not want “faceless bureaucrats” making medical decisions but they have no problem with “private sector” “faceless bureaucrats” daily declining medical coverage and financially ruining good hard working people. And who says that the “private sector” is always right, do we forget failures like Long-Term Capital, WorldCom, Global Crossing, Enron, Tyco, AIG and Lehman Brothers. Of course the federal government will destroy heathcare by getting involved, Oh but wait our military men and women and the Senate and Congress get the best heathcare in the world, and oh, that’s right, its run by our federal government. I can understand why some may think that the federal government will fail, if you look at the past eight years as a current history, with failures like the financial meltdown, Katrina, and the Walter Reed Scandal but the facts is they can and if we support them they will succeed.

The fact that the they are voting on it after the break is great for opposition to the Democratic party. This will allow people to really get informed and know how bad the system is when it is put in place. The Dems are doing everything they can to shoot themselves in the foot right now.One thing I would like to add though. Our representatives aren’t suppose to do what we want. They are suppose to keep us safe and protect our rights. Direct Democracy doesn’t work because everyone is looking for their own interests, so the rich will be unfairly taxed and the poor will vote themselves money. I kind of feel like the idea that the government is suppose to give us what we want is how we spiraled so out of control with spending. We’re basically the governments children at this point. Anything parents don’t want their kids doing can be made illegal in some way (censorship, drug laws, gay marriage, ect.).

    @Harrison – I agree

@Jan – I’m so glad to see you motivated to come out and comment.  You’re so right! You go, girl! ;)

@Paul – it appears you are spreading some disinformation about the way healthcare REALLY works.  Well – let me give you the truth based on my 18 years in all facets of the business – First – private insurance bureaucrats don’t make the decisions about your health care – your physician does.  The insurance companies have medical directors (physicians) and case managers (RNs) that review referrals, denied claims, and denied claims on appeal.  There is no “faceless bureaucrat” with no experience involved.  Throughout the 70′s, 80′s, and early 90′s physicians were billing for unnecessary tests and services just to get paid for them – therefore – the term “medical necessity” evolved.  There were, and to some degree still are, many fraudulent providers who bill for services unnecessary or that were never rendered.  The AMA created guidance through the CPT, ICD-9, and HCPCS manuals on who procedures are to be billed and when they are to be billed.  Insurance companies and physicians alike have these guidelines loaded in to their systems.  Generally, when more than just basic services are required it will go through a medical necessity review to determine if those services really are required based on the patients’ medical history.  Insurance companies don’t just deny claims for the sake of it.

No – I don’t work for an insurance company – I am on the provider side.  However, I worked as a claims processor for 5 years, a claims auditor for 6 years, a consultant looking at fraudulent systems as the result of Qui Tam actions, a billing manager for a large clinical laboratory, and now I’m a compliance officer responsible for the implementation of local, state, and federal laws.  You my friend have no idea what you are talking about.  Maybe we need another e-mail to report people like you. ;)

Oh – and I grew up in the military and I also served in the Air Force for 6 years.  The military medical system is absolutely horrible.  It’s getting better – but – I have some serious personal horror stories about the medical care I received as a kid and later as an adult in the USAF.  Considering I lived all across the country and in three European countries – I can tell you I have been to quite a few military treatment facilities and clinics.  They are just a step above the VA hospitals and clinics.

Regarding what healthcare that our congressmen and other government workers get – you are sadly mistaken – it is not run by the Federal government.  They have the best top-of-the-line private health insurance that covers absolutely everything with absolutely no co-payments or coinsurances and no maximum limits.  So – if private insurance is so bad – why do they all have it?  Maybe their insurance companies should drop them and let them buy it through the regular channels like we do.  Seriously, you are so misinformed and uneducated about our health system it just boggles the mind that you would come out here and pass on your lies like that.

@Brandon – I don’t think I said our representatives should do what we want.  Franklin himself said that once the people learn they can vote themselves part of the treasury then democracy will be dead (paraphrased).  I’m in agreement with your statements.  However, they are elected by us to represent us.  They should listen to us when we talk to them.  They shouldn’t try to push us in to something that is not constitutionally allowed just because they think they know best.  Congress has no constitutional authority to take my money and pay for somebody else’s health insurance.  As Jan said – we hired them, we can fire them.

That’s right BoBo – there is no bean counter looking for a reason (or not reason at all) to deny coverage. If the doctor okays it – no reasonable insurance company flack would possibly try to deny a claim.

Heck – we gotta keep the governments hands off medicare and the VA – the government would only screw those programs up, eh?

@Grumpy – you can’t seriously be suggesting that Medicare and VA are shining examples of government run healthcare are ya?  As a Certified Fraud Examiner through the ACFE – I can tell you that the government loses hundreds of millions a year due to Medicare and Medicaid fraud.  Despite the efforts of the OIG – there is no stopping it because it is administrated so poorly.  The estimates state it could be as high as 15% of all claims paid out are fraudulent.  The VA – puh leeze.  While I admire the health care personnel trying to do their best to take care of our veterans – the bureaucracy our veterans have to go through just to get that care is a nightmare.  The only one’s who still go through the VA for care are those who don’t have regular insurance and their only fallback is the VA.

How does shouting down to stop the conversation of the healthcare debate at town hall meetings, endears them to anyone. Especially when the organizations that are telling them where to go and what to do and say are Republicans political operatives, not real grassroots. How does shouting someone down or chasing out (lynch mob) advanced the debate, it does not. So I think the American people will see through all of this and know, like the teabagger, the birthers, these lynch mobs types are just the same, people who have to resort to these tactics because they have no leadership to articulate what they real want. It’s easy to pickup a bus load of people who hate, and that’s all I been seeing, they hate and can’t debate. Too bad.

@Paul – I see you’re one of those kool-aid drinkers.  You really believe that?  See, what you don’t understand – because you libs are the originators of “astroturf” you don’t recognize a true protest now when you see it.  None of the opposition here is being bused in, nor are we financially supported or backed by any organization.  You don’t know what a real grassroots protest looks like.  The only people who have been busing people in and getting marching orders are the libs and organizations like ACORN, SEIU, and every other freakin organization you can name that support lib causes.

Your comments just shows your ignorance and the fact that you are one of those Obama sheeple that believes anything you are told rather than think for yourself.  You should try it some – being a free independent thinker like those of us who have decided to get off the couch and actually make it to these rallies.

Go ahead – keep those blinders on – it be better that way when your ass gets run over – at least you won’t see it when it comes.
