Well, not that the mainstream media is doing any real investigative reporting like they used to – in fact, I think the last real reporting they did was during the Nixon years and Watergate.  My prediction is that by the end of Obama’s four years and one and only term – not only will he go down in history as being worse that Cahtah – but – his administration and presidency will go down as being the most corrupt as well.  The list is getting longer every day.  Many of us saw this coming and tried to warn the voters – while I’m glad many are finally waking up – I fear it may be too late unless we just completely shut this government down for the remaining of this term.  Don’t let them pass one more thing until the corruption and sleazebags are out of this government.  So – let’s just list the corruption and Obama’s ties that we do know about:

ACORNFour new videos out there that prove they are a criminal enterprise – not to mention the voter registration fraud in 14 states.  As we all know from my previous post – Obama has very deep ties to ACORN.  He was great friends with Madeline Talbott and she welcomed him in to ACORN with open arms.  John Conyers was all ready to open an investigation in to ACORN when he did an about face simply stating “the powers that be” said no.  Gee, I wonder who “the powers that be” are?  Then there was that maneuver by Obama to put the Census under the executive branch – and subsequently – ACORN was hired to do the follow-up.  At least the Census bureau had mind enough after the release of those videos to back off using ACORN.  But, it still doesn’t get P-BO off the hook.  He made a speech before ACORN while he was campaigning where he stated they will be invited to help him shape his agenda during his presidency.  The corruption in this organization goes all the way to P-BO.  In fact, P-BO used a shell company to pay ACORN $800,000 for voter registration and canvassing services – something that is illegal.  I don’t understand why the media didn’t go after him for that one.  I’m also still scratching my head wondering why he wasn’t disqualified once this came to light.  His connections to ACORN alone should get him impeached.

William Ayers – Weather Underground – do we need to rehash this whole thing again?  His connection to a man who bombed the pentagon and killed a police officer should be enough proof.

Timothy Geithner – Tax cheat – running the IRS.  Seriously?

Charlie Rangel – Tax cheat – writing the tax laws. Again, seriously?

Carol BrownerSelf avowed socialist – Energy Czar.

Van Jones – Self-avowed communist who believes that 9/11 was an inside job and that white people are intentionally poisoning blacks.  P-BO’s good friend and “right hand man” Valerie Jarrett stated they’ve been following Van Jones since Oakland.  In other words – they have known about his radical ties for almost 10 years before they hired him as a czar.

SEIU, UAW, AFL-CIO – Unions – need I say more?  It was the SEIU that changed the vote in Nevada that enabled P-BO to win over Shillary.  The UAW was moved ahead of the line and given majority ownership of two of the big three American auto makers – and they did not have to make any concessions. The constitutional protection of contracts was turned upside down so that P-BO could pander to the unions.  The “card check” bill supported by P-BO is another payback to the unions for their support.  P-BO stated in a speech to the SEIU the same thing he said to ACORN – their agenda has been his agenda in the Senate and they will get to shape his agenda when he’s the president.  If that’s not enough to get him impeached – here is a series of videos detailing P-BO’s ties to organized labor and corruption.

Goldman Sachs – This web is so tangled I can’t even begin to figure out where it starts or ends.  There are ex-Goldman Sachs employees at every level of the P-BO administration it’s not even funny.  They pretty much run the treasury department and have their fingers in every part of the financial regulatory departments.  As this guy puts it – Goldman Sachs is Obama’s Haliburton.  P-BO vowed there would be no lobbyists in his administration – yet – he has hired at least three GS lobbyists.  Goldman Sachs has the backing of P-BO to drive their competitors out of business and P-BO is complicit every step of the way.

The Apollo Alliance – One of the chairmen is Van Jones.  This group actually wrote the stimulus bill.  There was not one member of Congress who wrote this bill.  Sure, there may have been amendments – but – this bill has been in the works for years by the Apollo Project and they were just waiting for their opportunity.  I thought our elected officials were responsible for writing the bills?  Apparently not.  And, if that weren’t bad enough – the chairman of the New York office of the Apollo Alliance is Bill Ayers and P-BO’s good friend – Jeff Jones.  In case you didn’t know – Jeff Jones is the co-founder with Bill Ayers of The Weather Underground.

Radical TiesHere is a great post detailing all of the radical ties to Obama.  I won’t bother rehashing it all here – go check it out yourselves.

Cap and Trade Bill – another one of those great bills that will destroy our economy, our American way of life, and capitalism – this one wasn’t written by our congressmen either.  It was written by scientists. It’s for that very reason that the congressional sponsor of the bill – Henry Waxman – stated unabashedly that he didn’t know half of what was in the bill.  That’s because he didn’t write it.

General Electric – Is it any wonder that the CEO of GE, Immelt, now has a seat at the table at the Federal Reserve?  GE owns NBC, CNBC, and MSNBC – all of the networks are in the tank for Obama.  GE stands to gain Billions, possibly trillions, if the health care bill and the cap and trade bill passes.  Immelt has without a doubt been one of the biggest backers of the Obama administration.  P-BO is in bed with VERY BIG BUSINESS – corporatism at its best.  I thought P-BO campaigned on wanting to help the middle-class and get rid of special interest groups?  So far – all he has done is catered to special interest groups – this one being the biggest of all.

Eric HolderMarc Rich – need we say more?

Harold Koh – State Department Legal advisor – openly campaigns for accepting international law in to our own court systems.  In other words, he wants to put the world’s laws ahead of our constitution (transnational legal process).  Next to the Attorney General – this guy probably has more legal power than anybody else in D.C.  He sets the tone for American law internationally.  Another personal appointment by P-BO.

Chavez, Castro, Ortega, & Zelaya – Obama stands with Chavez, Ortega, and Castro in supporting Zelaya’s attempt to overthrow the Honduran constitution and take on a role as dictator.  Why would P-BO support a leader usurping that country’s constitution unless he believed our own constitution was inadequate?  In fact, it was Chavez that stated “Comrade” Obama was more left-wing than himself.

I could go on and on and on.  Perhaps I’ll follow this up at a later date with more of the corrupt individuals and the corruption going on right now.  It seems that whenever P-BO speaks – you know he is lying.  He has thrown this country and the middle-class under the bus to serve special interests and lobbyists.  He no more cares about this country than does Chavez. P-BO wasn’t kidding when he stated that he wanted to fundamentally transform this country – he is in fact attempting to do just that – he wants to turn this country more socialist that Europe.  We should have listened to Michelle when she stated

“Barack knows that we are going to have to make sacrifices, that we are going to have to change our conversation, we’re gonna have to change our traditions, our history, we’re gonna have to move into a different place as a nation.”

That is exactly what P-BO is trying to do – he’s trying to re-write history and change our traditions.  He is most definitely trying to move this country in to a different place – SOCIALIST HELL. He hates this country and he is a racist as evidenced by his appointment of Van Jones, his association with Reverend Wright, and his jumping to the conclusion that a white police officer “acted stupidly” when arresting a black man for harrassing a law enforcement officer.  P-BO hates our constitution and he pretty much stated that

You know, if you look at the victories and failures of the civil-rights movement, and its litigation strategy in the court, I think where it succeeded was to vest formal rights in previously dispossessed peoples. So that I would now have the right to vote, I would now be able to sit at a lunch counter and order and as long as I could pay for it, I’d be okay, but the Supreme Court never entered into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society.

And uh, to that extent, as radical as I think people tried to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution — at least as it’s been interpreted, and Warren Court interpreted it in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties: [It] says what the states can’t do to you, says what the federal government can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf.

And that hasn’t shifted, and one of the, I think, the tragedies of the civil-rights movement was because the civil-rights movement became so court-focused, uh, I think that there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change. And in some ways we still suffer from that.

Obama doesn’t want reparations.  He thinks reparations isn’t enough.  He is fundamentally transforming this country to redistribute the wealth – or – social justice – as he puts it.  We are only 8 months in to a four year stretch and there is more corruption and closed door backroom payouts going on than ever before.  We need to keep an eye on this guy.  Let’s hope the mainstream media will eventually wake up with the rest of the American people and start reporting the truth. P-BO is a progressive of the worst kind and his kind of thinking will undoubtedly destroy the greatest country on the face of this earth – from within.

  • I don’t know about “most corrupt” but “most inept” does come to mind.

  • Matt:

Harrison, I think inept applies well, especially in the respect that their corruption keeps getting exposed!

  • jd:

    /stands up
    /applauds

    well done.

  • @Harrison – maybe not “most corrupt” at this point in time.  However, given there are still 3 years and 4 months left – and all of this has gone unchecked and unchallenged and P-BO hasn’t had to answer to any of it – I’m still sticking with the prediction.  But, I will say that “inept” definitely describes it right now.

    @Matt – ditto

    @JD – thanks

  • Timely post. I was just talking to someone about my hatred for P-Bo, and this Retired NYPD LT, said that the kind of ties he has would have prevented him from even getting to the physical of the NYPD test.

  • It’s been something to watch for sure.   I’m thinking there is going to be a lot more fallout before it’s over.  As for most liberals they aren’t much for associating.  They don’t seem to care who you are in bed with.  The old adage of birds of a feather flock together just doesn’t seem to work for them.  Why?  I’ve not a clue.  If you lay down with dogs you will wake up with fleas at some point.  It’s the way of things.Have a terrific day.   :)

  • Carol:

Was it just my e-mail, or did all the e-mails on this post go out with the Google ad about P-Bo being born in Hawaii and not believing all the “lies” about where the P-Bo was born?  Ironic.

  • TFT:

The ACORN videos are fake.  But you wouldn’t want that to be true, would you!

    http://mediamatters.org/press/releases/200909160021

  • Grumpy Old Man:

Nah, not even close – he is up against such professionals like US Grant, Reagan, and W. Bush — Oh, jeez, I almost forgot Nixon. His Vice president was forced to resign for taking a $10,000 bribe not just corrupt but CHEAP! I am sorry, just because something bad happens during a president’s administration it does not count unless the culprit is part of the administration. Bush gave millions to ACORN so will they count against him too?

wtf is it with you rightards and Zelaya – Zelaya was trying to change the constitution by using the rules of the constitution so the army took over and ran him out of the country, that sounds pretty anti-constitutional to me.

The Repubs changed the constitution to shorten the term of presidency following the rules of the constitution and the Dems did not call out the army to stop them

That Harold Koh bit is just crap and you know it.

Now that I look at what you claim to be corruption is just partisan whingeing, using innuendo, cow pucky and pure malarky. I expect better of you BoBo (are you really bohemian Bourgeoisie?)

  • @Carol – that is ironic actually.  It’s what is sent out by adsense on the feed.

@TFT – you’re kidding right?  I read that article – it only states that the idiot in the video who claimed she murdered her ex-husband is lying – not that the videos are fake.  Besides, I watched the Glenn Beck episode.  He did state that he doesn’t know if it was true or not but that they have contacted the San Bernadino police to verify.  He did not state that she actually murdered her ex-husband.  He said that it was unbelievable that someone would make such a claim.  Perhaps you should actually watch that episode yourself and you would see that the Soros and Podesta backed Media Matters are the one’s who are lying.

@Grumpy – good one!  I see you did your homework regarding BoBo’s!  Nope – I would never claim to be a member of such an elitist group of individuals.

I hope you noted that I did include Nixon.  I’m more pissed that the media refuses to report like they used to.  Morrow is probably rolling in his grave and Woodward & Bernstein are probably trying to figure out what happened to their profession.

Funny – I didn’t see Clinton listed anywhere there in your comment?!?!

As for what I listed – you don’t see anything wrong with any of that?  Really?  As for Koh – he himself has written many papers on transnational law and how he favors it.  Zelaya – bwahaha – really?  I guess you must have heard that from the Huffington Post.  He was attempting to usurp their constitution.  He was trying to throw out the term limits through intimidation and take control of the country – without the legislative process.  The reason our Army didn’t come in and take over is because we used the legislative process and it was our Congress that changed it by majority vote and was not challenged by the SCOTUS.

  • jd:

    @grumpy
you might want to watch it with the whole “‘tards” thing.  obama used a similar term, and he luckily got away with it due to media afterglow.

  • This regime is huge on corporatism and I don’t expect it to stop anytime soon. They have to cover the big boys because it protects unions—gotta throw them a bone.

  • TPB:

    LOVE YOUR BLOG!

    Bravo, bravo bravo!

    “standing for an ovation”

  • @jd – funny – but if you remember – there are double standards.  While you or I may get in trouble for using such terms as leftards and retarded leftist dickheads – nobody on the left will be held accountable for the same actions/words.

@VH – you got it, brother.  Bush was guilty of corporatism as well – but – P-BO has taken that to a new height.  He even surpassed FDR.

@TPB – thanks much!  I stopped by your place as well.  Pretty funny stuff you have over there.  I was looking for a way to subscribe to a feed – guess you haven’t added that yet.  I’ll add ya to my favorites and keep an eye on things there ;)

  • Unbiased journalism is dead, Bobo.  That’s why the mainstream media didn’t go after PBO for his ACORN shenanigans.

The leftist bias has destroyed American’s trust in the media – and rightly so when we have to rely on a couple of 20-year-old amateurs to do the work that should have been done by our newspapers and other news outlets, who decided to look the other way because such an investigation would be politically harmful to their side.Fox News has a huge following only because people are tired of the leftist slant from the other outlets.Check out this opinion piece in the LA Times making excuses and whining about how “distasteful” the hidden camera tactics used by those kids who exposed ACORN were. Unbelievable.

By the way, check out the comments that follow the opinion piece; the majority weren’t impressed by a 10-1 margin, and they really let the Times know it.  All the best,Len

    http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/la-ed-acorn16-2009sep16,0,1980998.story

  • @Len – just as bad is the fact that the State’s Attorney in Baltimore is going after the two youngsters for videotaping without permission – rather than investigate the corruption in ACORN.  It’s nuts out there, man.  I believe there definitely is a major shift coming in this country.  More people are awake and aware now more than ever.  When I started this blog it was like singing to the choir and those on the outside thought I was nuts.  I’m just glad to see more people are finally “getting it”

  • Grumpy Old Man:

@BoBo – my objection to and list of inclusions in your “most corrupt” has to have some external validation that is not based on personal/political biases – the only one that I can come up with is actual conviction for corruption or an even looser standard any conviction of members of the administration.

I assume that you have a standard against which you hold the various administrations so let me know what it is.

I will start with the easy ones:
Charles B. Rangel – take this up with New York (how do you blame Obama for him?

carol m. browner commission for a sustainable world society – well, for one thing there is no law against being a socialist; for another, she was on the board of csws not on the board of Socialist International.

Radical Ties – wtf does this even mean?

accusing him of corruption for the Cap and Trade bill is like accusing him for corruption for the Health Care bill – your politics do not determine corruption.

The Goldman Sachs/GE/unions connections you make are just blind throwing muck against the wall hoping something sticks.

The only problem with Van Jones is that he called republicans assholes – bfd.

You guys are just going to choke on Ayers aren’t you, there is not a connection there other than the whole 6 degrees thingy.

But not as badly as you are going to choke on ACORN — do you know how many different offices those twits went to trying to get something on ACORN; not much has come from the whining about voter registration fraud either, a lot of smoke there but not much actionable stuff. Here again, in general, the US legal system tries for innocent until proven guilty.

Remember that Billy O, Rushbo, and Beck all distance themselves from the people who listen to them and go out and kill people so if you want to tar people with broad brushes you will probably get a lot of tar on yourself.

(I know – that was a straw man but I could not resist).

  • Grumpy Old Man:

I see that there are ‘unintended consequences’ for the anti-ACORN hysteria; the bill to address the ‘problems’ was just a little too broadly written – some of the others caught in the law are:
    the Catholic church (pedophilia)
    Black Water (killing Iraqis)
almost everyone in the defense contract business (fraud)
the Republican party (fraud, sex scandals, anyone connected to Abramoff scandal).
KBR & all their up-/down-stream corporate entities for fraud, incompetence (electrocuting soldiers in their showers) and other crimes.

I suppose the bill can be ruled unconstitutional by calling it a ‘bill of attainder’ and therefore specifically barred by the constitution.

Sort of a nuclear option gone terribly good! This might actually work to our favor in cleaning up some of the really nasty-ness going on behind the scenes.

Heck, this might even catch ACORN and the Democrats – the more I think about it, is there anyone who can cast the first stone? Who will be able to work for the government! Maybe this is the intended consequence of the anti-gov groups.

  • @Grumpy – whether intentional or not I hope we get all the corruption out of the government – whether dems or repubs.  Our politicians on both sides have sold this country down the river and its time we the people take it back and vote in some real Americans who care about this country instead of their own personal power and gain – which includes Rockstar Obama.  It is very evident from all of his speeches this past week that he really doesn’t care about this country.  All he cares about is appeasing our enemies and making friends with them over our allies.

The Dems, ACORN, and all of their buddies (GE, Goldman Sachs, BOA, SEIU, AFL-CIO, etc) would be caught in it as well.  I’m hoping this  would also help to get rid of Geithner, Frank, Dodds, Murtha, Reid, Pelosi, and Rangel – every one of them have had some very shady deals that Congress (on both sides) are just letting them slide on.  You know very well that if either you or I did any of what they have done we would be in jail.

I’m just really sick of the corruption in government all together.  It’s time to reset this thing.

  • Grumpy Old Man:

I notice that the first paragraph is a sop to bipartisan toss the bums out but the last sentence and the second paragraph is just pure wingnuttery. You just can’t stay sane long enough to bluff your way to ‘Repub/Dem – equal doses of bad’. Driving the loonie left loonier should actually read
the rightwing just can’t get a grip.

  • @Grumpy – really?  So – Murtha and ABSCAM – nothing to you?  Charlie Rangel (the guy that writes the tax laws) cheats the IRS out of $150k because HE didn’t know – that doesn’t bother you?  Chris Dodd – a friend of Angelo getting sweetheart deals that are definitely against thet law, Geithner – really – you don’t think you would go to jail for not paying your taxes – and this guy is in charge of the IRS?  Pelosi puts tax exempt status on a company that her husband owns and also exempts the entire Samoan nation because she and her husband have a huge financial stake in Dole – that doesn’t bother you at all?  Harry Reid and his sweetheart land purchase deals after he had them devalued – then all of a sudden the value of his property quadruples?  Barney Frank and his gay prostitution ring.  ACORN – do we really need to rehash what I already put forth? All the corporations and unions I mentioned were MAJOR contributors to Obama’s campaign – and now they are drafting, reviewing, and helping to craft the bills in their favor, not to mention many of them have high level positions in the administration. C’mon Grumpy – I thought you were at least intellectually honest.

The lasts sentence is wingnuttery to you?  Why?  This government is “for the people and by the people.”  We can choose to reset it if we want.  We have the power to put the right people in there and make sweeping changes.  How is that wingnuttery to believe that we don’t have the power, authority, or right to do so when our constitution clearly states we can?

  • Grumpy Old Man:

Vitter, Ensign, abramoff and all his slimy tentacles, Sanford, Senator Wide Stance, Foley, Every republican governor of AZ, asshat traitor DeMint, almost the entire Bush admin. attourneys, dusty foggo (gotta love that name) Look just go here for a fun, interactive follow the corruption guide:http://www.slate.com/id/2165783/

  • @Grumpy – you don’t need to prove anything to me – I don’t dispute any of it.  Like I stated before, both sides of the aisle are absolutely corrupt.  There are more corrupt politicians these days than there are honest and honorable ones.  The problem is that you guys on the left won’t stand up and push against the corrupt politicians in your party.  You would rather continue to point the blame on Republicans and then cover your eyes, ears, and mouths when it comes to the Democrats.  I will continue to point out those politicians on both sides.  It would just be nice to see someone on the left finally doing what is right for this country instead of what is right for the party.

  • Grumpy Old Man:

Bobo – sorry but whinging about how terrible the left is and behaving as if right is right-ous.  Mostly I see projection on your part – it is all the lefts fault.  You point out all the problems you see on the left then whinge when I point out there are also problems on the right (and blame it all on the left). But this is getting boring.

  • Yail Bloor:

Many of these have nothing whatsoever to do with corruption.  Radical ties do no mean corruption.  You may disagree with Ayers, fine, but calling him corrupt is inaccurate.  Regarding Zelaya, apparently you are willing to buy the coup leader’s rationale on the constitution and not nearly every other expert on Honduras’ constitution.  Also, Obama is not exactly friendly with Castro – though there have been signs of a thaw in US policy towards many leaders in South America – most of whom were democratically elected (Castro excepted of course).  What do you think of the Obama administration’s plans to expand military bases in Colombia?  Chavez has not exactly loved that to say the least.  Again though, nothing here corrupt – just politics you either do not understand the complexities of or disagree with on ideological grounds.  ACORN has indeed been discovered to have committed offenses – so they now no longer receive gvmt funding as well as having investigations launched into their conduct.  Most connections of fraud regarding the election however have been disproved by numerous fact checkers if you bother to research the information.  To put a final point, corruption does not have to do with ideological connections, but with financial and personalistic ones.  At any rate, this is not to say the Obama administration is not corrupt – but it is certainly less so than its predecessor.  Secret Cheney energy meetings anyone?  No bid reconstruction contracts?  What about the giving out of jobs in the DOJ?  Tampering with national intelligence to suit political ends?  And these were serious actionable offenses.  Yet we have seen as yet no legal backlash.

  • Mark:

HA! You’re nuts, and you have not a clue as to what you are talking about.

  • ‘Ties’ – usually imply a self-serving connection. In politics, given the nature of the beast, it leads to corruption of some sort, historically speaking. We can go through the History of Presidency’s and find plently of corruption because of conflicted interests and misrepresentation.

    • I’m sure of that as well. However, I don’t think it has amounted to nearly what we have had going on over the last half century. This government is definitely out of control and Obama is leading the charge – faster than ever.
