Did hell just freeze over?

Imagine my surprise when I came across this headline today:
France warns US on deal with Iran
Seems to me during the lead up to the Iraq war, and for many years after, we Americans were making fun of France for being lame and weak on the war on terror. In just 9 short months, P-BO has turned America in to France.
France is anxious about the Obama administration’s pursuit of a deal on Iran’s nuclear programme, warning that the US must not allow Tehran to expand its uranium enrichment without facing fresh sanctions.
This just absolutely amazes me…France is now the heavy. P-BO has obviously given the impression to the international community that America is weak and willing to negotiate unconditionally with terrorist regimes and dictators.
However, French officials insist Tehran must also pledge by December to freeze expansions of uranium enrichment – otherwise new sanctions should be imposed.
A French government official said: “Iran is looking for more time and a move which would give legitimacy to its programme. Imposing the freeze is absolutely essential.”
A US official acknowledged yesterday that the proposal was “not the solution to the Iranian nuclear programme”.
That US official is an idiot. Of course it’s not the solution – but – it is essential that Iran immediately halt any further activity before we even get to the table. Apparently, this administration doesn’t have the guts to do what it takes. I never thought I would EVER find myself siding with the French on anything.
The latest polls say it all:
51% of Americans think P-BO is too weak on Iran
88% of Americans are concerned about the Iran threat, of those, 59% are very concerned.
Despite the fact that P-BO has stated he believes Iran’s nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, 82% of Americans believe Iran’s program is for weapons development.
While P-BO is throwing our ally, Israel, to the wolves – 49% of Americans believe we should support and back Israel as opposed to just 37% who say we shouldn’t.
Again – P-BO has proven he is inept and out of touch – not only with the American people now, but with the international community as well. Appears to me that he is an epic fail in America and in foreign affairs.

Why do you mention, in your racist graphic, that the failure is not due to blackness? Do you think some of your readers might think it was because of his blackness and you don’t want to associate your impression with theirs? Or is it because you are trying to convince yourself that you are not a racist? Either way, it’s racist.

Everyone knows that the real racists and enslaver of the black man are the Democrats and their welfare state policies. Democrats absolutely rely on keeping the black man down in order to keep their power base. That to me is the ultimate in racism. Conversely, we conservatives are all about giving ALL Americans regardless of race, creed, color, and social class the opportunity to succeed through empowerment, education, and personal responsibility.
The Democrats rely on creating dependency in the black community to keep their power. But, you just continue to call conservatives racists – not even the African American community is buying that argument any longer.

You didn’t counter my accusation, so I assume one of the reasons for your putting up the racist graphic is one of the 2 I mentioned.
I think Obama played this whole thing rather well. Iran is now being watched, very publicly, by the whole world. I know you would rather just blow them up, but we really don’t have a good reason. You’ll just have to pray for more disasters, you know, like Michael Scheuer does.
I think we are all worried about Iran. We have been for a while. I remember something about a Shah, and then a hostage situation….
And why hasn’t anyone mentioned how Obama has kept us safe since January? Remember how you guys used to tout that crap when W was president?

As for P-BO keeping us safe – you mean because he has kept Bush’s framework in place? The fact is, no one in the WH wants to admit that Bush did something right, nor do they want to point out that P-BO hasn’t actually changed Bush policy as far as internal security goes. If they do that, then they have to admit that the reason this country is still safe is because of the things that Bush set in motion. So, if you want to say that P-BO has kept this country safe for the past 9 months – I’ll give it to you since that also means that he is continuing the Bush doctrine.
However, since he came in to office, the rest of the world has become less safe. NK firing off missiles left and right while building their nuke program. Iran – ditto. Al-Qaeda and the Taliban increasing in strength. Backing away from our allies – England, Israel, Poland, Georgia, Honduras, etc. Shutting down the European missile defense shield. Do I need to continue? His foreign policy absolutely stinks. He appeases dictators, despots, and terrorists – but he disses our allies and goes out apologizing to the world and weakening America’s position in the world. Sure – he’s done a bang up job hasn’t he?

@TFT – I looked, didn’t see anywhere that Fred actually called you a “pussy.”
As for who’s policies were in place on 9/11 – I would have to say we were still status quo with Clinton policies. Bush hadn’t been in office long enough to do anything else. He was forced to change direction on 9/11. Just as Bush wasn’t in long enough to change policy, I would also agree that Obama hasn’t been in long enough to change course either. He has been too focused on “fundamentally transforming” this country.

Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad got a visit from John Kerry. At the Summit of the Americas, Mr. Obama himself greeted with Venezuela’s Hugo Chávez, Nicaragua’s Daniel Ortega
and Bolivia’s Evo Morales–in many way validating these regimes. Then there was the meeting with Russia–Obama was simply played: Obama is clearly out of his league.

When a person, usually a man, wonders out loud about whether or not someone has balls he is usually questioning his subject’s masculinity. When having their masculinity questioned, most men don’t assume the offender was thinking “eunuch”, they more correctly think “the opposite of masculine” like something feminine, like the common term used by youngsters when they want to publicly question another’s masculinity: pussy.
