Simply Awesome – Jack Webb Schools Obama

h/t to Jan for sending this to me. I am old enough to remember these Dragnet shows. When I’m feeling somewhat nostalgic – I’ll tune in to Nick at Night and watch some of these reruns. In any case, this is a great video – Obama being schooled by Jack Webb on the great virtues of this country. So appropriate. Enjoy and pass around

God I sure do miss Jack. I miss watching Harry Morgan and John Wayne. They all had values associated with being…AMERICAN. I miss them badly. I feel as though they were a certain level of strength for this nation. They knew what war was. They knew what the threat was. Today…I am simply grateful for sites like this one. The BoBo files is an ALL American site. Thank you for posting this video from YouTube.
America is in bad shape, when we need a man who has been dead for 27 years… to spank our current dictator.

That’s a pretty good clip. It’s funny how sometimes there are just some things decades old that come around full circle, even if it was just from a movie.

@W.B.B. – welcome back, man. Been wondering what you’ve been up to. I’m in total agreement. Guys like these, John Wayne, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers – those guys understood America and had young kids wanting to grow up to be like them. Our kids don’t have role models like these any longer.
@U.S. – I know what you mean. You won’t hear that kind of speech on T.V. shows today. Gary Sinise comes close every once in a while – but never like this.
@Jana – awww man! Sooner or later I’ll hit one before you do! LOL

Oh come on BoBo! Our kids have lots of great American Role Models to look up to!Lots of people who “understand America.” You do, I do, and the 1.5 million strong Angry 9/12 mob that stormed the streets of Washington D.C. armed with signs and french poodles do too. We all spoke loudly. America is going though a process of rebirth. The reborn America will not stand for the broken promises and the handcuffing of our livelihood.P.S.Yes I’m back!

GREAT VIDEO! I used to watch that show in the evenings with my grandfather. We loved it. Just goes to show you how certain messages are never out of style.

@EJ – Unfortunately, these days the message only resonates with 1/2 the population – unlike in those days when the majority of America still had values and believed in this country and the greatness.

W.B.B. – so sorry for not responding sooner – it has been absolutely hectic around this place – I’ve kinda slipped in my blogging as well. I’ve only been able to get 3 – 4 posts in a week. Anyway – glad to see you’re back. I’ll be checkin’ in over at your place every once in a while as well.
