Despite Hoffman loss in NY-23 – a message has been sent!
Posted by: The BoBo // Category: Conservative, Democrats, Liberals, Politics, RINO, Republicans, governmentAs of this post – with 532 of 606 precincts reporting in – the Democrat, Owens has been declared the winner with 49% of the votes. Hoffman has 46% of the votes. Scuzzyfava took 6% of the votes despite dropping out over the weekend.
So – where is the good news in this? Look closely at those numbers – They aren’t going to change. Hoffman lost by only 3%. Hoffman was in the race for ONLY 30 days. Since Scuzzyfava took 6% of the Republican votes – most likely the RINO vote – had the GOP done what was right in the first place and selected a REAL conservative candidate such as Hoffman – the likelihood is that he would have won that race if he had the full backing and the full amount of time to mount his strategy.
The sheer fact that Hoffman managed to get 46% of the vote after just 30 days in just goes to show the GOP they need to move to the right and fully embrace conservative values and principles if they really want a chance to stay in office and power. What this also tells the GOP is that a REAL conservative and a REAL citizen with REAL principles can be a formidable opponent in any race throughout this country. It also sends a message to the GOP to quit putting up these freakin’ RINO’s – no one wants them. Everyone is sick and tired of the two-party Dem/Rep system and now is the time, like never before, for a serious conservative third party to step up to the plate.
There are conspiracies out there that Scuzzyfava was never meant to win in the first place. The only reason she was in the race was to throw it to the Democrat – afterall – when she dropped out – she endorsed the Democrat. She was even further to the left of a RINO that there isn’t even a term for such a hard-left Republican. Whether the conspiracy is true or not, she was the spoiler for Hoffman.
Let this be a lesson learned – conservative principles will win in 2010. At least for now, 2 out of 3 isn’t bad at all. The tide is turning.

Completely agree, Bobo. Of course, I watched some Florida congresswoman–Swartz?–try to spin it as a great victory for Democrats and that overall Tuesday’s results were not indicative of any unhappiness with the Obama regime. I can’t wait till November 2010.

Had the RNCC endorsed Hoffman from the beginning he might have won outright! The GOP better start listening to the base and both parties should view NY 23 as a warning shot for the 2010 elections.
