Author This is a BoBo told you so moment. Almost 2 years ago I put up a post warning that if Obambi were elected they would go after our 401k retirement plans (I will link it later – I’m posting this from my blackberry) – I was told several times I’m a paranoid nutjob.

GOP Sounds Alarm on Obama Administration Takeover of Private 401k’s
The GOP is blowing the whistle on this. In addition to this progressive administration nationalizing the auto industry, the financial sector, the educational system, the healthcare system, and the energy sector – they now want to nationalize private savings through something they call a “GRA” which would be a taxpayer subsidized government controlled and guaranteed savings plan.
The only people who benefit from this new government takeover are the unions. The union pension funds are in serious trouble and on the. Verge of default. As with healthcare – when the government takes personal savings over – it alleviates this burden from the unions. This fascist/communist/socialist administration has proven time and again, they don’t care about the. American people – they only care about catering to the union mobsters.
Read that article and the letter written by John Boehner. I hope you people out there wake up before November. If we don’t turn this around this fall we won’t have a free country at all by 2012.

Don’t see any problem with this.. Was left to corporations and they swindled the entire world and stole everyones 401K… Whats the beef dumbie?
Really, Mark? Wall Street was just a bit player in the downfall of our economy. Also, many of us did not lose a thing in our 401k’s because we were paying attention. I moved my money in to guaranteed Roth IRA’s and IRA CD’s in the summer of 2007. Saw this coming from a mile away.
The problem is with people like you who want the government to run your lives and to take care of everything for you rather than rely on yourself. The real culprit in the demise of our economy IS GOVERNMENT. Government caused this mess – and – you think it is okay for Government to take it over now?
Jimmy Carter started this slide with the enactment of the CRA. This FORCED banks to provide loans to people who could not afford them – all in the name of giving homes to the poor. The Clinton came in and sweetened the deal that created the “No Doc” loans where you did not need proof of income to get a home. At that point Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac started coming up with these “creative” solutions in order to allow people with no proof of income to be able to buy houses. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac created the derivative and mortgage backed securities. Lastly, George Bush then further amended the CRA that now said no identification required either.
Since the CRA was enacted ACORN, NPA, and unions started harassing banks to make them give loans out to poor people. Obama represented ACORN and sued the state of Illinois to force banks to give loans to those without documented proof of income and proof of insurance.
Government created this mess. Now they want to nationalize our personal savings accounts and you are okay with it? I made money because I was smart with it. Any one who lost money wasn’t paying attention to the economy and our government. There is no way in hell I will EVER allow the government to have authority over my personal savings accounts. It absolutely amazes me when I hear people like you who WANT to be slaves to the government.
This can’t be fucking real? Can it? I have to do some more research but this would be insane if it passes. I would just love one chance to opt out of Social Security GIVE ME BACK MY 8%!

If this goes through many of us are bound for the poor house. Oops I forgot, they did away with those. So I guess we’ll just find a bridge to live under and eat fish out of the city pond then.

It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if some type of “poor house” or debtor’s prison isn’t reinstituted by this administration.
I already lost our my savings and 401k. I worked for almost 40 years to have something to retire on. Everything is gone except the little social security I get. I guess the next thing the crooks(both Democrat and Republican), in Washington, is to cut that too.
The New World Order only wants two classes of people in this world. The Rich and super Rich,that control everything and us poor people depending on government handouts to live.
