From Russia with Love!

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: America, McCain, Russia, energy, oil

This is for America. This is for NATO. This is for Bush.

Have you heard this anywhere? No? Do you even know what this is? No? This is what is inscribed on the missiles that Russia has been sending in to Georgia. Here’s the entire quote from President Saakashvilli from the Glenn Beck show on CNN Headline News on Wednesday August 13, 2008 -

You know, the bombs they have been throwing on our people, killing hundreds of civilians in the last few days. I`m afraid to say thousands but hundreds at least. I hope not the thousands. You know, they had inscription on them. This is for America. This is for NATO. This is for Bush.

I told President Bush about it today, by the way. So it`s — Russians are fighting war not with us at this stage. They are fighting war with the ideas. They want the ideal of freedom and by proxy they may fight war with you, the United States.

Why is it that this isn’t being reported anywhere in the news? This is a pretty significant statement. This means that Russia is really at war with us! This means that the former KGB Spy Pooty Poot Putin is ready to bring back the cold war all over again. Russia is flexing it’s muscle right now and trying to chide us in to another war. You know why they’re so bold? It’s because oil and natural gas prices are so freakin high! They are power hungry and they know that the power comes in the form of carbon based fossil fuels. Their Energy Minister, Sergei Schmatko, himself said that Russia is only interested in carbon based energy (i.e., deals with Iran, Cuba, China, Venezuela, Libya, and their claim to the Arctic oil fields).

Their incursion in to Georgia is more about securing the pipeline and taking control over it more than anything else. The pipeline through Georgia is the only privately controlled pipeline in the region that Russia does not own or control. You don’t think they aren’t trying to send us a message?

I wonder what would happen to the price of oil if worldwide supplies increased?  Do you think it might go down whereby ensuring countries like Russia, Venezuela, and Iran would lose money and power?  Do you think that the idiot dems are paying attention to any of this at all – or – have they been on the golf course with Obama all week?

One last thought – if things continue to worsen with Russia – do you think this will benefit McCain? Hmmm.

Since Russia frst attacked on the 8th I’ve been wondering what we would do. Maybe this will force us into action. I dont know what we could do though. They control the energy, and as far as military goes they are our equal. It would just be another long war attrition like WWI and II. All we can do is try to gain energy independence(for all Western countries) and prepare for war.

Yes, I think that this whole situation could benefit McCain. Also, what position does this put Western Europe as far as energy is concerned? Germany has implemented policies that make them highly dependent on outside sources for their energy generation because of their strong “Green Party” policies; They could be setting themselves up for lot’s of problems down the road by trying to depend on others to supply their energy since “alternatives” won’t cut it for a economy that needs to grow. I hope we avoid this mistake.

Apparently, Russia has been inscribing the missiles that they’re bombing Georgia with. Do you think the war in Georgia is about Georgia? Think again!…

I have to take this whole thing with a grain of salt. Think about it. A garden variety
SS-N-26 Land attack missile carries a 400lb HE warhead. When it hits..there’s not a whole lot left of the vehicle. It’s mostly incinerated at impact.
I’m not saying what the Georgians are saying is not true, but it is a bit of a stretch for me to swallow. I’ve worked around high power weapons a good portion of my life, they don’t generally leave nice little tell-tale signs after they hit; Just big smoking holes and lots of smoke… :-)
As far as benefiting McCain ?? I would think he would come out on top as its a national security issue…I’m watching Obama’s reactions or lack thereof closely as well.

@Greg – I had considered that as well.  However, at the beginning of the Iraq war we placed inscriptions on our bombs as well – then broadcast that information as part of the propoganda.  Even if they have not actually inscribed it – word has apparently gotten out that they have – again part of the propoganda of war.

It doesn’t surprise me at all that Obama has been relatively silent on this issue.  He’s a wussy leading his wussy followers.

@Uriel – there is a bit of controversy regarding who actually attacked who first.  Based on all the initial report – Georgia sent troops to the Ossetia area to quell a separatist movement.  Russia already had peacekeeping troops in the area.   Russia moved in claiming they had to protect their peacekeeping forces.  So – it’s the blame game at this point.  All I know is that we are teetering on a vary precarious edge right now.

Russia supplies 25% of Europe’s oil and 40% of the natural gas.  If Europe even considers speaking out against Russia – people will freeze to death this winter.  This should be a wake-up call to we in America about being dependent on others!  We have the available resources to be independent…so..why aren’t we?

@Vulcan – I agree – see comments above to Uriel.

This might not actually help McCain as one would think. All Obama has to say is that if we did not depend so much on oil this war wouldn’t be happening. Then everyone watching him would faint and go vote for him. That’s not good.

Oh, and if you head over to my site you will see my new post which is kind of about this. It is basically a plan to attack Russia, and it could work, and benefit the U.S.A. a ton.

Let’s just hope though that none of this become really serious, and could lead to a much bigger war than it needs to be.

Bro, you hit the mark with this one. This war is so confused now, it is a shame to see us trying to be politicially correct as an ally is falling and we are sitting on the sidelines playing oil politics. We need to wake up soon.PeaceTTP
