The BoBo Files

As I was putting my post together last night, as is usual for this clown, my mind was wandering and thinking of other things – for whatever reason – I remembered a time last year when my step-daughter had asked me that question. Apparently, she had to put together a paper in her high-school government class. I answered her – below are some of my answers I provided then – and I’ve added more since then:

So – let’s get down to it and point out the differences on the major issues:

ABORTION
Liberals - Regardless of what they call themselves – “pro-choice” or “pro-abortion” in fact what this means is they are pro-killing of innocent children. They bring up an issue called “reproductive rights” that puts the selfish wants of the mother over the needs of an unborn child. They abort children up to 24 weeks. Children have been known to live at 22 weeks premature birth. These children have brains, beating hearts, lungs, fingers, toes, etc – everything that identifies them as being a living human-being. Liberals think of these children as parasites to be thrown away since they are still reliant on the mother for life and nourishment as long as they are still in the womb. Yes, there is still debate as to when life begins. For liberals – it is a livebirth – ergo – partial birth abortion where a baby’s head is delivered outside the womb then the brains sucked out of it prior to a full birth. This is also the reason why some abortion doctors will insert a needle in to the baby’s heart and injecting them with a medicine to stop the heart before delivering the child.

Conservatives – every unborn child should have a chance to live. Even if the mother does not want to raise a child – adoption is a better option than abortion. For conservatives – there is still some debate – some say it is at conception (this is the religious right’s view) and then other conservatives believe life begins with the heartbeat (the more moderate conservatives). In either case, life begins inside the womb – not outside.

NATIONAL DEFENSE
Liberals – Believe that the military are murderous thugs and barbarians. They believe that all conflicts can be worked out by “talking.” They would rather sit down with terrorists to try to figure out why they hate us and even when faced with the fact Islamofascists hate ANYBODY that does not believe in Islam and Mohammed should be killed – they still think there is a peaceful way to solve the global war on terror. Every Liberal Democrat since Kennedy who has been in office has defunded the military, closed down military bases, and have shut down or decreased our weaponry programs. Even Obama has clearly stated he would decommission our nuclear program, decrease the size of our military, and defund the weapons projects during this time of war. Liberals see our role in every single war as invaders and occupiers. They never see us as the liberators and proliferators of freedom and democracy.

Conservatives – The best offense is a good defense. If it wasn’t for soldiers defending this nation we would not be able to enjoy the freedoms that we have. We need to remain the world’s superpower by having the largest, strongest, most technologically advanced military on this planet. While the U.S. represents only 4% of the entire population on this planet – those countries out there who wish to be democratic and independent always look to us to help them achieve this goal even if it means overthrowing despotic regimes.

ENVIRONMENT
Liberals – Human beings are parasites and viruses on this planet. Mother nature should be defended and protected above all else including humans.

Conservatives – God gave us this world and its resources to use. Humans come before plants and animals. However, despite what liberals think, Conservatives do believe in responsible use of these resources and believe in renewable energy and replenishment. But, we aren’t willing to save a freakin spotted owl when there are hungry people in this country.

TAXES/SOCIAL PROGRAMS
Liberals – Believe that the government is responsible for taking care of every single citizen in this country through entitlement programs. They believe in an expanded government through increased taxes for the sole purpose of giving the people whatever they need. Liberals do not take responsibility for their own life direction. Rather than encourage the downtrodden to better themselves through education and labor – they believe it is better to just give them taxpayer funded healthcare, taxpayer funded food stamps, and taxpayer funded housing. People are not held accountable for their own actions under this system because the government will give them everything. In this system – the liberal elite believe they know what is better for the people because the people are too stupid to take care of themselves (i.e., banning the building of fast food restaurants in California, banning transfats in all food products, banning anything they want because we’re too stupid to take care of ourselves).

Conservatives – Social programs are needed on a temporary basis to help those who find themselves in an unfortunate situation to get themselves out of the rut until they can take care of themselves again. Government should be small and limited in power. The power belongs with the people and the poeple are responsible for their own actions whether it be on a path to prosperity or a path to the gutters. We are responsible for the decisions we make and if it is a bad decision – then you live with the consequences. It is not up to the government to bail you out when you do something stupid (like take out an A.R.M. when you know you can’t afford it). Taxes should be low to encourage economic growth. Higher taxes mean increased prices to the consumers meaning lower consumption meaning less production meaning less employment (something the libs haven’t yet figured out). Rich people create the jobs and they should be encouraged to create even more jobs and sale more consumer goods by having lower taxes or providing tax break incentives.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
Liberals – Everyone should be welcomed here whether they came in legally or not. Afterall, they just want jobs and are hardworking people. It doesn’t matter that we have laws on the books already that prohibit illegal immigration – these should be changed because its cruel to those poor poor people. It doesn’t matter that there are 100′s of thousands of people here legally that have been trying for up to 10 years to get their legal citizenship status and they are contributing to this country – those poor poor uneducated hard laboring people who came here illegally and are not paying taxes should get to jump ahead of the line in front of those other people.

Conservatives – Unabated illegal immigration is just government sponsored slave labor. Employers who hire illegal immigrants should be fined and the illegal immigrants sent back home to their own countries. It is not the responsibility of the U.S. to provide jobs to illegal immigrants coming from corrupt countries. The immigration laws need to be changed to make it easier for those who came here legally to gain citizenship.

EDUCATION
Liberals – Schools are for the socialization of our children. Social education regarding sex, LBGT lifestyles, conforming, sharing, fairness, and esteem building come before reading, writing, and arithmetic. Liberals believe in the Marxist maxim that children should be educated to be labourers for the common good and government. They believe that all children should be treated equally and that no one is better than anyone else. Overachievers are discouraged in the liberal education system because they have an “unfair” advantage. The curriculum should not be challenging to the children as it damages their self-esteem. Instead, the curriculum should be modified and dumbed down according to a child’s ability. They cater to the weakest link in the classroom. Children should not be failed or held back – rather – they should just be moved forward with the rest of their classmates since it could damage their self-esteem and psyche that could be with them as they become adults. Grades do not matter. Children should be encouraged to learn at their own pace instead of following and meeting deadlines for assignments. If a kid fails a test, he should get another opportunity to take that test to pass it. Homework should be optional or not given at all. High School sports are discouraged as the coaches believe in choosing only the kids who have the best talent and then playing those who have exceptional skills and talents. Many high school sports programs no longer have a “tryout” process – rather – anyone who shows up makes the team.

Conservatives – The curriculum should be challenging to a student to encourage improvement. If a student can’t pass a test – then – he fails. Children should not be taught social programs in the school – that is the responsibility of the parents. Sex education, LGBT, and all the aforementioned do not belong in school and should not be taught as part of the curriculum. School is for educating the children. How a child functions in society should be taught by the parents. High achievers should be encouraged and low achievers should be encouraged to follow the lead of the high achievers. Excellence in education should be demanded and all children are not equal, but, the curriculum should not be changed and deadlines not moved to cater to the struggling kids. Children should take responsibility for their actions. If they don’t pass a test – they should have studied more rather than play their Wii or Playstation the night before. Homework should be mandatory and given out daily to be completed and turned in by the next day. Learning is through repetition. That repetition is provided through the homework. Highschool sports are the epitome of teamwork and excellence. Sports teaches kids how to excel, self-discipline, how to push themselves beyond their perceived limits, and how to be a team player. Sports prepares our kids to be productive members of society.

THE CONSTITUTION
Liberals – believe it is a living breathing document to be interpreted and modified with the times. The interpretation of the constitution should be compared to countries and the world view to see if it fits. The sad thing is, our forefathers were liberals and libertarians – today’s liberals are so far removed from our forefather’s ideology of liberalism they can no longer see the damage they are causing. They believe our constitution is archaic and no longer relevant. They pick and choose only the parts they think will benefit them rather than accept the whole document as is.

Conservatives – It is what it is. It is clearly written and is not up to interpretation to meet the needs of today’s society. It is perfect as it is. We don’t care what the world thinks of our constitution and it should not be compared or subject to their views.

FIRST AMENDMENT
Liberals – Freedom of speech only applies to their own speech. They become very irate and upset if you disagree with them. They believe in Freedom FROM religion – not Freedom OF religion as is written. They believe in separation of church and state even though there is no such thing in the First Amendment or the constitution itself. Freedom of the press – see Freedom of speech. Peaceable assembly/Protesting is reserved for them only. If an opposing group shows up to protest their protest – it usually results in them becoming belligerent and violent.

Conservatives – All speech is free. If you say it, you own it, and you are responsible for the consequences of it whether it be good or bad. The press should remain neutral and unbiased. The original purpose of the press was to keep the government in check and the people informed of the actions of the government. There is no such thing as separation of church and state. This was just a statement that Jefferson made in a letter in response to a query by the Danbury Baptist Association. Everyone is free to practice their religion whenever and wherever. Peaceable assembly – see above.

SECOND AMENDMENT
Liberals – The forefathers didn’t really mean that regular people have the right to own guns. Guns are evil. This goes back to accountability and responsibility. People who use guns irresponsibly are not at fault – the gun makers are at fault because those people would not have done what they did if they did not have access to a gun. Since we have a gang of thugs known as the military – there is no need for a militia, ergo, the second amendment should be thrown out. The second amendment should be up to interpretation by individual states, governors, mayors, etc to implement any anti-gun laws they want.

Conservatives – “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” There is no other way to interpret this. WE the people ARE the militia. The constitution also gives the people the right to form a militia against the government when our government usurps the power from the people. Jefferson stated: “It is more a subject of joy [than of regret] that we have so few of the desperate characters which compose modern regular armies. But it proves more forcibly the necessity of obliging every citizen to be a soldier; this was the case with the Greeks and Romans and must be that of every free State. Where there is no oppression there can be no pauper hirelings” as well as, “[The] governor [is] constitutionally the commander of the militia of the State, that is to say, of every man in it able to bear arms“ with regards to the Second Amendment. There is no misinterpretation as to what our forefathers were thinking when they added this amendment.

Anyway – this post has gone on long enough – I think you get the point – there are HUGE differences between Liberals and Conservatives. But – we are ALL Americans first! When you get to sit down and talk with a few libs (bring duct tape) and when you get through all that bullshit – you hear that they want the same things for this country as we conservatives – what we disagree on is how to get there. The dickheads in D.C. have done a great job dividing us by pointing out all these differences as often as possible – on both sides – when they divide us – they gain more power.

While I have pointed out these differences – in order for us to get this country back on track – we need to find a way to come together to take this country back and to take all that power back from the government that they essentially stole from us while they have us fighting with each other. I’m going back to my old mantra here – VOTE OUT ALL THE INCUMBENTS and start this thing over.
