The BoBo now Supports McCain!
Posted by: The BoBo // Category: America, Conservative, Elections, Family, McCain, Politics, President, energyOkay – I have to suspend this week’s BoBo Award!!! Given the announcement today regarding John McCain’s choice for Veep – Wow! What a hotty hot hotty!
In all seriousness though – I have been tracking this woman ever since I first learned about her over at The Law of Politics. I know I said I wouldn’t vote for McCain regardless of who he picks as his running mate – that’s because I didn’t think he would ever seriously consider Mrs. Palin. This woman is the ultimate feminist ideal! She’s very strong, independent, takes no shit from anyone, does what she feels is right and sticks with her convictions, is a wife, a mother, a hunter, an athlete, and did I mention… she’s smokin’ hot! She actually competed in the Miss America pageant.
Not only has she proven that she can be a mom, wife, and run a large state at the same time – she proved that a woman can do it while she’s pregnant. She just gave birth to her youngest child this past April. With that – she also has proven she’s pro-life. When she found out that her son would be born with Down’s Syndrome – she continued on with the pregnancy rather than abort the child. This woman is awesome – and it’s going to be very hard for Obama and that 30 year D.C. insider to compete with this self-made woman.
I will vote for McCain this time just to get Palin in to the Whitehouse in preparation for her future candidacy as the President. I would most definitely vote for this woman as our next President – plus – I know this must be pissing off Hillary to no end!!!!!!
I’m sure you’ve all heard everything about her by now on the radio, tv, etc…but…just wanted to recap for ya:
- She’s pro-military and pro-strong national defense (her son is in the Army getting ready to do a tour in Iraq) – so – she’ll pull in the military vote.
- She’s pro-life – so she’ll pull in the pro-life voters
- She’s smoking hot – so she’ll pull in the horney vote
- She’s a hunter – so she’ll pull in the pro-gun voter
- She’s comes from a union household and was a former union member – so she gets the union voters
- She’s a strong feminist – so she’ll pull in the woman vote
- She’s a former hockey-stay-at-home-mom turned politician – so she’ll get the mommy vote
- She’s a hotty that wears skirts and dresses (not pantsuits) – so she’ll get the guy vote
- She’s a staunch conservative – so she could bring back some of those conservatives who backed away from McCain (as I did)
- She’s got integrity, honesty, and passion – so she could bring in a helluva lot more voters
This was most definitely the best decision that John McCain ever made! I’m voting for Palin! Besides, I know it has Obama wetting himself right now and it’s pissing off Hillary knowing that she isn’t going to be the first female executive in the whitehouse! I think it was a great touch by Palin today to thank and honor Hillary in her acceptance speech! ZING!!!!
Meet the next Veep Family!

Funny, I heard about this from my 17 year old son. He heard from the teachers when McCain made the announcement – he was laughing saying, “Well Owama – done deal, you are OUTTA here”. I didn’t know he was so intently watching all of this. LOL
I’d have to say I agree with my son – this closed it. Others can say what they will, but I don’t seem to hear Obama anymore. I hadn’t made up my mind truth be told – it’s a done deal in our household. McCain’s got our vote. Signed. Sealed. and Delivered.
Good post Bobo! Glad you think she’s a hottie. LOL

Wow. You really bought it, didn’t you? Let’s see, if you wanna be president, all you gotta do is compete in a beauty pageant, get yourself elected mayor of a town with about 6,000 residents, and then governor of a state with about (what?) 700,000 residents (smaller than the town I live in!). And you gotta have zero experience with national, let alone international, affairs.
Oh… and you also gotta love moose stew.
The smiles were big at Obama HQ today! The speech last night and then this today… this election is over.
P.S. Ms. Palin really kinda does look like Tina Fey, doesn’t she?

I wouldn’t be counting your chickens just yet. Palin’s nomination will solidify conservatives that were luke warm to McCain.

Bobo-Not to mention that neither party can win without independent voters and half of them are women. Palin has strong appeal there as a maverick.
At least as important, she is a total and complete Washington outsider with a regular American family story. Very strong appeal in fly over country where this election will be decided.
Great post!

I was stunned when I heard he actually picked her. She is the best choice for president or vp mentioned in this election. Palin is the most down to earth candidate to come through whitehouse in recent time.

Bobo,I totally agree with you. She’s a hottie. This is coming from a woman, mind you, who is a very straight woman. But then again, I’m an admirer of anything beautiful: people, places, arts, music, movies, writings, etc, etc. What I think attracted me more to her is her conservative values on family. It’s very commendable of her to keep her son in his condition, instead of getting an abortion. I applaud her. Of course, I’m going to vote for McCain/Palin for all the reasons you’ve mentioned in your post. I hope that the independents will come to the same conclusion as you.

To all the Liberal Naysayers harping about her so called lack of foreign policy experience.
Lest you be reminded she is the Governor of a state that shares a border with Canada, secondly The eastern Side of Russia is a little more than a stones throw across the Bearing sea.
So what you ask? She is also the Governor of a state due to it’s location that the NMD program relies on for it interceptor base. A well documented system that has the Russian bear loosing lots of sleep about it.
In summary this does in fact mean the lady has a strong grasp of foreign policy issues, even if she had none when she entered office as Governor, she most certainly has gotten a crash course in it since then.
McCain’s FP resume and now Palin’s…. with BHO’s distinct lack of anything coming close to these two; and Biden being the cosumate Washington Insider… I would say that argument is one best left unvoiced.

You can tell how worried the libs are. Look at how fast (about 5 minutes) after the selection they started bashing her. They didn’t even wait to see how the public was going to react. Talk about experience, she had held an elected office for five years when BHO was elected to the IL senate. She has more chief executive experience than all the candidates for President and VP. She commands the Alaska National and Air National Guards. If you look to see how many days BHO has actually been at work in the senate and not running for President, I bet it totals about 180 days and they call that experience???

Well – I certainly think this has completely re-energized the campaign. I’m actually looking forward to the convention next week just to see what more is coming out of this!
Len – she has a helluva lot more FP experience that Obama does. It’s sad the way that the MSM is trying to jump on her experience like that – it appears to be her only weakness. But – she’s more qualified to be the president than Obama is. While Alaska might only have a population of 700K – she controls and manages a budget in the billions. When was the last time Obama managed a budget beyond his own check book?
This is going to be a great campaign now!
All the previous commentors are right on track with this. I think just based on the positive comments about Palin here – the dems are going to have a real hard time overcoming this now!
She’s the perfect Veep candidate and there aren’t any skeletons in her closet. The Obama camp must be shittin’ bricks now! And…she totally stole hist thunder!!!

You can’t be serious BoBo. McCain is an old man who, at 72, would be the oldest President ever. He is a cancer survivor, and a presidential candidate who has said on many occasions that the most important criteria for picking a vice president is whether he or she could immediately step in if something happened to the president. His pick of Palin shows a COMPLETE lack of judgment to lead.
Palin’s ONLY executive experience is 18 months as Governor of Alaska, a state with more reindeer’s than people. Prior to that she was a city council member and Mayor of a tiny hamlet that, at the time, had a population of 5,000 people. Her ONLY foreign policy experience is the fact Alaska is next to Russia’s Siberia. She is also being investigated in her state for lying and abuse of power… Sounds like she would fit right in with Bush and Cheney.
McCain’s choice is not that of a “Maverick” or one that shows a “Judgment to Lead” but one that shows a man who knows he is loosing and has thrown a desperate “Hail Sara Pass” to pander to the women vote and the red meat conservative vote. This is just another reason McCain is not qualified to be President.
And, sadly, it looks like you fell for it.

Great post. Please read mine of today. Why is it there are only two sides to this story? The: A. Great choice, she sealed the deal and B: Obama Win Secured, No experience?
Doesn’t anyone in this country think for themselves any more? Or is all anyone can do is just repeat what the talking heads or political surrogates have to say?
If you want thorough analysis of the McCain choice of Palin, read my blog post. But the thing that excites me, as an Independent Male, lifelong democrat, and Hillary supporter is that this choice seals in my mind that McCain still wants to reform Washington and end the partisan gridlock and get work done for the American people. In that regard, even though yes Palin is a hail mary, and yes, Palin is a blatant attempt to appeal to PUMAs, it’s also daring and inspirational.
Finally, Bobo, Hillary loves this. She knows now she’ll be running for the White House against Palin in 4 years. So what if Palin made it to the Naval Observatory first? Hillary never intended to go there.

CouchMouse Squeaks:
Ah those liberals and their never ending supply of “tolerance” not like a little AGE discrimination now is there?
What he’s a leper because he had Melanoma? Try reading the “Americans with disabilities act” rodent, it expressly forbids (MORE) discrimination, but oh wait, the left could never be guilty of that now could they? As a cancer survivor myself I find you verbal spewing disgusting, and an insult.
18 Months As opposed to exactly what? To Obama’s communist inspired “community organizer” role? Which BTW when it comes to even coming CLOSE to anything foreign related is actually the big Goose Egg, Nada, Zilch, Zip, Z-E-R-0. Mmmm Ever hear the old adeage “Half a loaf is better than none”? Try it..you’ll not starve the fuck to death. Of course, in your case, intellectually speaking you already did.
Ah yes the old “Maverick” Meme…But Obama is a maverick?? HOPE CHANGE…er not so fast…He just picked the consummate DC insider Joe Biden. 35 Years as a Beltway Bandit, of those 35 years we’ve got the debacle of Iranian Hostage Crises, Mogadishu, Bombings of the Cole, Kenyan embassies, and a long and sorted list of others to highlight on Ol Gaff-a-matic’s resume of foreign policy “expertise”.
Not to mention he’s been caught on numerous occasions insulting minority and other “social identity” Icons…Now that’s change we can believe in !! Not.
Truth is, blinded by partisan politics as you are, If Biden had an R behind his name you fucking people on the left would be marching in the streets with pitchforks, dont dare deny it.
McCain’s choice certainly does fit in the “Maverick” moniker by bringing Palin to the ticket, and not relying on a “Establishment” choice, but only a now sweating bullets lib would even try to disabuse anyone of the that notion. As far as the statement shows a man who knows he is loosing…What? Where? Before the DNC McCain had surged in front of the magic negro by 2 points, statistically a tie, as of Friday Obama was up by 6 points, before the Palin announcement, with a +/- margin of error of 3 points. That means that even after all the hoopla of the DNC He was only up by 3 points.
Give it up mouse that squats to pee, Obama’s a true blue died in the wool Communist, & the words out , people are backing away from him in droves…You liberals useful idiots and your communist supporters are going to loose in November, your candidate is going to be sent to the “also ran” category and hopefully with a little bit of hard work and perseverance we will also run out the RINOS and San Fran Liberals in congress, and get this country back on track.

@Couchmouse – I guess I did fall for it – if you mean the fact that McCain is making a move back towards conservatism by bringing in a solid conservative – whether it be male or female. Regarding the investigation of the firing of state trooper Wooten – I wouldn’t hold my breath on her being found to guilty of any abuse – the accusations were made by Andrew Halco – you know – the guy who lost to her!! Just sour grapes there. They’re trying to say he was fired because of the divorce and custody case.
@Len – Any day I can bring a smile to your face is a good day!!! You’re absolutely right – this is going to be some fun now! Like I said – I’m voting more for Palin than I am McCain
@Matt – I’m looking forward to a Palin/Clinton election cycle – I think that would be good for this country. I’ll be over soon to check out your post

I think Palin was a good choice for McCain and the ultra-conservative base.
I think she has some great qualities, but won’t be pulling my independent vote towards McCain. As an intelligent woman, I’m not foolish enough to vote for someone just because they are a woman. That’s like saying that black people should vote for Obama because he’s part black. No matter how wonderful her story is, how many kids she has, how much I admire her accomplishments, or how much I wish I looked like her, there is still a disconnect between her ideals and mine. If her ideals don’t agree with mine, I’m not voting for her
I suppose that if I was uber-republican I’d be voting for McCain now. Since I’m not, it doesn’t change a thing for me.

(I’m serious when I say I am still here)
Palin is an excellent choice for Vice President, and I always knew that she would be picked for the job, even when she was even considered out of the short list (which was good to keep low on McCain’s side). Also, the timing was perfect, and Obama’s speech hasn’t been overplayed quite as much, and there’s talk on the airwaves and in the media about McCain and Palin, and it’s good too.
Will this make McCain win? I believe so (and I support Barr).

@Hi Josie – I agree that you shouldn’t vote for McCain for picking a woman Veep just because she’s a woman. I’m not voting for Obama because I don’t agree with his policies – not because he’s black. I hadn’t planned on voting for McCain either until he chose her as his Veep. She’s a great conservative and has shown herself to be a great reform Governor – just what we need in D.C. today. There are too many in Congress these days that are only looking out for themselves and not for out best interests. I think she brings that back for us.
@Bradley – Nice to see you again!! I figured your time would be limited with school starting up again.

Hi Bobo,
–Durano, done!
It’s definitely going to be a more interesting election, hot and sizzling as any closely contested contest can be. But I just don’t see how the inclusion of Palin and all the hossanahs she is getting could change what John McCain is. It will be McCain who will be President if the Republicans triumph at the polls, not Palin…unless of course the GOP expects him to die shortly after the elections. LOL!

You knew I was giong to come by because you practically gave me an invitation. LOL!
“It sets her up for 2012.”
That means Republicans and conservatives would only hand McCain a single term, if he lasts that long. But are these being thought of now when there’s so much that needs to be faced and resolved in 2008 up to 20 12 and beyond?
Better to take it a step at a time I guess. The November polls would determine this for America and the GOP. As the deal stands (one term for McCain), its an attractive offer difficult to refuse. The ball is back in Obama’s court after this splendid McCain move.
