If this is even remotely true – this is pretty freakin’ awesome!
Here’s the article:
Sarah Palin dolls go on sale as John McCain’s running mate’s popularity soars
Action dolls portraying the Republican vice-presidential nominee as an executive, an action hero and a school girl have gone on sale in the United States.
Hmmm…as a schoolgirl! The Obamarama team is in some serious trouble now! If she becomes the next “Barbie Doll” for young girls as the role model – they can kiss the female vote goodbye!
The dolls are an attempt to cash in on the popularity of the Alaskan governor, who has impressed since being chosen as John McCain’s running mate.
The executive doll is available for $27.95 (about £16) from the website HeroBuilders.com. The action hero version costs two dollars more.
I understand there are already Obama and Hillary dolls out there – but – I would say this comes at a VERY inopportune time for the Dems!
Pretty cool if you ask me!

Ummmm…I am sorry to disagree, but I think this is going a bit far. I support Palin a lot, and I could even see the Business Model if someone isists, but the Schoolgirl…??? It cheapens the importance of the office of VP I think, not to mention the dignity of the person herself. Just my quixotic $0.02 worth.Fire Frie!!!!!

I agree with Uriel! I knew Palin would be a good choice for VP, but I never thought she could make Obama “disappear.”

Isn’t that great?! Americans will vote Republican because the veep has a barbie-like doll on sale. It says it all…
Maybe you should ship some to the front in Iraq ? I hope they are made in USA, or are they made-in-china???

@Kapitan – it’s all in good fun! Besides, as long as they’re in good taste – it should be flattering. They’ll become collectibles.
@Blake – it is somewhat of a phenomenon there isn’t it?
@Roger – seriously? First – if you really think that’s any reason Repubs would vote for her – then you’d have to believe the ony reason people will vote for Obama is because he’s black.
No comment on the “China” thing. I’m not exactly happy that Clinton granted them “Most favored nation” status and then made them a trading partner. He’s an idiot and we’re all paying for it now.

Seriously, if someone decides to vote on any political candidate based on a doll then they shouldn’t be voting anyways.
And Roger, a quick run to the website shows that these dolls are 100% Made In America!(At least says the website), so your comment was so unnecessary, and sounds like maybe you are making fun of the American military? Also unnecessary.

Good follow-up Bradley – I wasn’t even going to address the troops issue – that would have sent me off in to a very long tirade!!! Anyway – thanks for fillin’ in the blanks.

Do you suppose they will take away Gore’s Nobel Peace Prize when they finally realize that man-made global warming was just a theory and not reality? God, can you imagine if that man had been elected as our president eight years ago? On this day (9-11) especially, it is a very scary thought. For all the bad things people say about Bush they cannot deny that he put procedures and programs in place that have protected this country since ’01. Would Gore have done that? HELL no!! He is too much into himself and not as concerned about the best interests (at least security-wise) of the country.

Roger,You are complaining that people might vote McCain/Palin because of these dolls but I bet you didn’t complain when people were voting for Bill Clinton because they thought he looked cool playing sax on Arsinio Hall’s show.

Did I hit a nerve? C’mon guys, wasn’t Bush elected because you lot felt he was the kind of guy you would share a beer with ? Unfortunately, living in the UK, I won’t be able to vote neither for Bratz nor for Ken… Shame… But I and many other would ever be so grateful if you could elect someone that would command respect for a change and I am affraid a past the sale by date 72yrs old and his pro-life bears-killer with an underage pregant daughter won’t do…
Matt… How is Louisiana these days?
Keep digging, build the Ark… the lord cometh…

No nerve it at all. Actually it is funny how much foreigners think they know about the United States but in reality know so little. We know some in the world think Americans are not very smart but we also find that really funny when we look at those people and then look at the US and see we are the lone superpower. How in the world did we attain that status if we are so worldly uneducated? You see we don’t elected a president who is best for the rest of the world, we elect a president who is best for Americans first and foremost. We seem to get into trouble when we elect a guy who the rest of the world wants and likes; Bill Clinton. It is because of Bill Clinton we got 9/11. His failure to do anything about the first WTC bombing, the embassy bombings, the USS Cole, Kobar Towers bombing, the Saudi National Guard HQ bombing and several killings of American diplomats that Al Qaeda felt it could escalate it’s attacks. I think we have had enough of a president the world likes. At least George Bush took the fight to the bastards and we have not been hit since.
Believe me I know it is a real possibility that Obama bin Biden could be our next President and VP, but I predict, if elected, the Obama presidency will accomplish almost nothing and last four years. You see, if you knew much about Americans you would know we don’t like socialism/communism as a form of government for the US. We don’t like things like a TV tax, a road tax, a personal tax, a stamp tax etal (sound familiar?), all so we can have bad healthcare and try to fool the people by saying it is free. So while you and many in the rest of the world want Obama to be elected, that gives me more resolve to vote for McCain/Palin and to do some “community organizing” to get others to vote for McCain/Palin.
Nah, I think the nerve will be hit with people like you when McCain/Palin are elected!!

@Matt – wouldn’t that be a hoot! I would love to see them revoke that thing. He made millions being the front man for somebody else’s work!
@Roger – we voted for Bush the first time because we were tired of the crap coming from 8 years of the Clintons and that scandal. Gore was even more far to the left than Clinton. We voted for Bush the second time around because we knew he would continue the pressure on the islamofascists and doesn’t back down to intimidation from terrorists – nor does he really give a shit about what the rest of the world thinks of us. Frankly, I’m glad you can’t vote in our elections – I’d hate to see you guys turn our country in to a nanny-state like you did your own!
As far as Matt – I believe he lives in Texas, not Louisiana.
@Steve – good follow-up

Please no Biden dolls and for that matter no McCain dolls….. Roger: jealous you don’t have a doll or is it because the under 18 age group, who I assume “buy” the majority of dolls, will be aloud to vote? Sarah Palin is a better role model for young girls then Parris H. and some of the other figures young people idolize.
