Welcome to the September 28, 2008 edition of The BoBo Carnival of Politics.  We have a lot of varying contributions today – a lot regarding the clusterf*ck of the bail out business..and that oh so wonderful debate!

So – in the starting line-up….

Madeleine Begun Kane presents Did The Dog Eat John McCain’s Debate Notes? posted at Mad Kane’s Political Madness.

Mad Kane always has something good up there!  This one’s pretty funny.

Conservative

Phil B. presents The National Debt of the USA « Phil for Humanity posted at Phil for Humanity, saying, “Before it is too late, please contact U.S. politicians to demand immediate fiscal responsibility through a balanced budget and a gradual decrease in the National Debt.”

This is something I can get on board with.  Actually, I’ve already contacted my State Senators as well as congressman on this issue several times.  I continue to get those bullshit form letters back.

Liberal

Menstrual Poetry presents Congratulations, Did You Pray Today? posted at Menstrual Poetry.

Ahhh…finally, a post from our favorite feminist!  Here’s a warning to the religious – enter this one if you dare!

George L Smyth presents One Minute How-To – How To Start A Progressive Drinking Club posted at George L Smyth, saying, “Justin Krebs explains how you can get involved politically by joining others with a drink of your choice.”

An interesting idea!  By the time the game ends…you won’t remember shit anyway…kinda like our politicians!

Libertarian

Mike Gogulski presents Unabashed anti-Americanism posted at nostate.com.

Amen, Mike!

News

Rob G presents WWIII is Necessary posted at Wikiweblog, saying, “Do you agree with this video and article that WWIII can solve most of our global problems?”

You know – the greatest economic prosperity always followed the big wars!  Rob might be on to something there.

Thursday Bram presents Palin’s Email: A Reasonable Expectation of Privacy posted at One Vote Matters.

Thursday – haven’t you heard?  Only the Liberals are supposed to have that expectation of Privacy.  When it comes to we Conservatives – it’s an open door!

Politics

Idiot/Savant presents No Right Turn: An introduction to the New Zealand election posted at No Right Turn, saying, “Looking at the New Zealand election”

I sure hope it’s better than what we got going on here!

Candace Silvasy presents Where Would Sarah Palin Spa. . . Spa Along the Campaign Trail With Sarah posted at Spa Around the World in Eighty Days.

Well..okay…it’s spammy and not really politics related – but – what the hell – it’s a guess at where Sarah might spa.  I’ll leave this one in for my female readers!  But, Candace – just to let you know – this one’s on the house.  Unless the next submission is actually politics related – gonna have to axe it! :D

Wenchypoo presents Updated: Why Your Vote Really Doesn’t Matter posted at Wisdom From Wenchypoo’s Mental Wastebasket, saying, “Originally written back in January, it’s now spiffed up for September, and still contains the reason why you should reconsider voting at all.”

Well – this wench…oops, Wenchypoo makes her case – but – considering this was a right that many women and minorities fought so hard for – its kinda hard to make this case against voting.

Shtetl Fabulous presents It’s the Economy, Stupid posted at Shtetl Fabulous, saying, “Where do the current economic crises and politics intersect? Hopefully in a brighter future.”

I know my answer – does Shtetl’s match yours?  Personally, economics and politics should NEVER intersect!

Archvillain presents Shell Game posted at A Dark and Sinister Force for Good, saying, “Aaaaarrrggghhh! How do we rid ourselves of these parasites called “politicians”?”

Put them on a cruise in a sinking ship out in the middle of the Atlantic!

vjack presents Atheist Revolution: Wall Street Bailout a Bad Idea posted at Atheist Revolution.

I agree VJack..but..something needs to be done…but..in the right way.

Republicans

Jeffrey Stingerstein presents Karl Rove Says That Obama Is Running a Negative Campaign posted at Disillusioned Words.

Well..isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black!  And…no…that is NOT a racist comment!

That concludes this edition. Submit your blog article to the next edition of The BoBo carnival of politics using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.

Hey thanks so much for giving my Where Would Sarah Spa piece some airtime.  Sorry you feel it’s spammy, just meant for it to be a bit of comic relief.  It’s something she’s good at anyway. . . all the best, Candy

Hi Candy – yes, while humorous, I was also looking at the rest of the posts on your blog – they are all spa related (which considering your blog niche) is appropriate for your site.  Maybe spammy may be too harsh a word – but – since it was about Palin (sorta) that is why I still allowed it! ;)
