Obama punishes free speech yet again!

This is just the beginning – it was bad enough that Obama operatives in Missouri declared they would punish and fine anyone who spoke out against Obama earlier this month – now – Obama has punished a TV station for asking tough questions by cancelling an interview with Joe Biden’s wife after a reporter questioned Biden about Obama’s remarks to Joe the Plumber and Biden’s remarks about Obama being tested.
Here’s that story:
Obama campaign cuts off WFTV after interview with Joe Biden
WFTV-Channel 9′s Barbara West conducted a satellite interview with Sen. Joe Biden on Thursday. A friend says it’s some of the best entertainment he’s seen recently. What do you think?
West wondered about Sen. Barack Obama’s comment, to Joe the Plumber, about spreading the wealth. She quoted Karl Marx and asked how Obama isn’t being a Marxist with the “spreading the wealth” comment.
“Are you joking?” said Biden, who is Obama’s running mate. “No,” West said.
West later asked Biden about his comments that Obama could be tested early on as president. She wondered if the Delaware senator was saying America’s days as the world’s leading power were over.
“I don’t know who’s writing your questions,” Biden shot back.
Gee – who would have guessed? If this guy gets in to the whitehouse – we can most certainly expect more if anybody criticizes his presidency!
“This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election,” wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign.
McGinnis said the Biden cancellation was “a result of her husband’s experience yesterday during the satellite interview with Barbara West.”
See – and they readily admit it! They can’t handle being called out on anything. There is a strong push again to get The Fairness Doctrine put back in place. The thought police are going to be strong with this administration. Dare speak one word negative against Obama – and you will face punishment. I have a feeling this will start extending to the blogosphere as well!

Make sure you go check out that interview – FINALLY!!! A reporter asking the tough questions! And..they can’t handle it.
WFTV news director Bob Jordan said, “When you get a shot to ask these candidates, you want to make the most of it. They usually give you five minutes.”
Jordan said political campaigns in general pick and choose the stations they like. And stations often pose softball questions during the satellite interviews.
Of course they do! Most of the MSM have ONLY been tossing out softball questions!
“Mr. Biden didn’t like the questions,” Jordan said. “We choose not to ask softball questions.”
Awesome! Kudos to Channel 9 for standing up for journalistic integrity. I only wished there were more news people out there willing to do the right thing and inform the people.
Jordan added, “I’m crying foul on this one.”
I would too. But – did any of you hear about this on the MSM stations or in the MSM newspapers? Nope – this isn’t making airplay either. Again – proof that the left is for freedom of speech as long as it doesn’t disagree with their own views.
Biden so disliked West’s line of questioning that the Obama campaign canceled a WFTV interview with Jill Biden, the candidate’s wife.
I sure hope McCain and the Republicans pick up on this and get this out. People need to know what is coming. This is just the beginning people.

Hey, Bobo I saw this story and immediately started searching MSM internet sites and couldn’t find it posted on any of them. This is a perfect example of what kind of “accessibility” Obama will allow if he wins the election. I’m sure he’ll have a goon squad whose sole purpose is to screen all questions to be asked of “His Holiness” before he grants any interviews. I simply don’t understand how his followers can continue to dismiss these many signs of trouble that Obama/Biden are laying at our feet.
And they are afraid of Palin being a heartbeat away from the presidency? Can you imagine if that freak Biden actually inherits the job? God help us all!!

Hey Matt – I don’t get it either. If you haven’t already done so – you should go check out the site where I got this story from and read the comments from the lefties over there. They are actually supporting this decision! Can you believe it? Those who are supposed to be all for freedom of speech. Some of the comments will blow your mind. They are calling the interview things like a shill for the Republican party, a neocon, etc. They are saying it was a hit piece and nothing else. They are actually saying she was wrong for asking the questions…you will also note a common theme regarding the “spread the wealth” comment – every one who responded to that brings up Medicare, Social Security, and taxes as saying our country already has a system for wealth redistribution.
They don’t get the difference between Obama’s plan for wealth redistribution and government funded entitlements as above. Taxes are a necessary evil of government in order to provide for services. However, at the rate our government has grown and with the way Obama wants to grow government, his idea of wealth redistribution does not fit in with the way that our founders intended taxation to be worked. They are all for the type of taxation system that prompted the Boston Tea Party!
It is really scary the way those lefties come running to Obama’s defense, even when what Obama does that is so wrong is so right in your face!
And..you’re right – it’s even more scarier that this isn’t making the regular news. You would think that the media would be outraged at any candidate for doing this to any news media outlet and would want to expose them. Just plain crazy I tell ya!

Yeah, I know what you mean, Bobo. I was reading the comments on Fox News’ coverage of this story and I had to laugh at some of the blather being posted by those nuts. Anything to avoid the real issues, that is their method. Here is just one gem I came across from a disgruntled lib….
“Question for everyone in here…..what’s your personal angle? Jesus Freak? Gun Nut? F*g hater? False Patriot? Multi-millionaire?….Seriously, what’s in the Republican party agenda for you. It is primarily special interest groups, so I am curious what you get from it. If you tell me your just an average american, I will seriously have a good laugh at you…”
How do you answer something as ridiculous as that? Just keep dippin’ into that Kool-Aid barrel, genius.

I know – I can’t even read through all the comments half the time because I get just so disgusted thinking that is how they really believe. The one that really gets me is that if you’re a Republican – you’re automatically a racist – that’s just so outrageous considering their party is the one that actually started the KKK and has former members of the KKK in their party.
They truly do not get it.

While it isn’t uncommon for campaigns to “black ball” certain media outlets or journalists, the Obama campaign seems to have the most confrontations with the media when compared to McCain. And while McCain was the darling of the media for his openness, Obama is the one the media loves. I know, it’s all so confusing. After spending about 20 minutes searching the net, I’ve come up with a long list of links discussing Obama’s battle with the media. I’ll see if I can craft an article about it tomorrow, and if not, I’ll just post the links here. In the mean time, I’m going to get some sleep and hopefully Obama loosens up a bit. If this kind of media converage is rough in his eyes, imagine how he will act if he has to go through what the media has done to Bush over the past 8 years.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Wow I love the design of your blog – very classy. Yes I saw some of this mentioned on Michelle’s site too. I have a big interest in all of his even though I am not American. I lived there for a while and this new President is important to the whole world. Good on you for loving your country enough to get involved and do something proactive. Too many people sit on the sidelines complaining about what coulda, shoulda, woulda happened only if……All the best and I will come back and take a look at the latest again.

@CommonSense – I just hope this gets more play time somewhere else other than the blogs. You can’t find it anywhere else. You are right – unless they start screening everyone – they will have a very hard time. I have a very strong feeling that if he gets in – there will NEVER be anything that is critical of him and his administration that ever makes it to the people. It was Goebbels that said if you control the media you control the people.
