A little election day humor – Lord knows we need it!
Posted by: The BoBo // Category: ACORN, African-Americans, Civil Rights, Congress, Elections, Liberals, McCain, Media Bias, Obama, Politics, President, Republicans, Soldiers, TroopsWith all the crap that is going on right now with the Black Panthers blocking access to voting booths, Virginia not allowing the Military absentee votes, Republican poll watchers getting thrown out of voting locations, and Schmucky Schumer already talking about bringing back The Fairness Doctrine (well before this election has been decided) – I thought a little humor would be needed right now.
I can’t really take credit for this – You’re gonna have to go to Angel’s place to check this out – pretty funny stuff!
and then…This poem was sent to me by e-mail – author unknown – pretty good one!
‘Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!
I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.
When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys
They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!
He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink
He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!
On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi’
He screamed at the pairs!
They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn’t stand up and fight!
So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!
AND – REMEMBER – DON’T WATCH THE POLL NUMBERS! The media just wants to deflate you and suppress your vote if you are a McCain supporter. Get out there and vote! There is no way they can call the election for anybody so early! This is a VERY tight race! If it wasn’t – do you REALLY think Obama would still be campaigning today?

I watched John McCain’s concession speech and all I could think was “this guy should have been leading this country for the last 8 years instead of George W. Bush.” I voted for him then, in 2000, but was saddened to see that somewhere along the road to this election, he listened to the wrong advice and picked the wrong people to surround himself with. Even his supporters in Colorado and New Mexico (according to interviews on NPR as they left the voting booth) felt that his campaign’s direction has turned them off of his candidacy and voting for him was a difficult choice. I thought his speech was gracious even while it was tearing him up inside; it was especially touching that he sent his condolences to Barack Obama over the loss of his grandmother. I think that now that he is not running for the Presidency, and will no longer run for that highest office, he will be able to get back to the business of being an advocate for military reform, a ban on torture and “enhanced torture techniques,” and a restoration of the American reputation abroad. If anyone can be the honest voice on Capital Hill, John McCain can be that voice; yes he can.
I wonder if he will be asked to become Secretary of Defense in the new administration; I think that would be an excellent honor for a worthy former rival to the new Presdient-elect.

@PP – it was a very grueling night for me! How ’bout you?
@Michael – Honestly, I was not really a strong supporter of McCain. I thought he was the wrong candidate for the Republican party from the get go. I only threw my support behind him the more I learned about Obama. His concession speech was good. But, I couldn’t help but have this very heavy and sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach the whole time.

I didn’t watch it…I decided I wanted to be in a good mood so I chose to watch Pineapple Express and Tropic Thunder instead.
