ACLU trying to tear down a WWI Memorial

h/t to Jan – This is a must see video.  If you don’t pass on the video – please – at least pass on the story.  The ACLU is currently in the process of trying to have this WWI Veteran Memorial torn down and removed from the Mojave Desert in California.  Why would they do this?  To appease one man who lives in Oregon that has never even driven by or seen the memorial.  He wants it removed just because he “might” see it one day.  This is atrocious and an egregious act not only against our military – but – it is also an attack against Christianity as well.  Please take the time out to view this video and let others know.  We can’t allow them to remove this memorial to our service members.  Show your support, go to  Don’t Tear Me Down and sign their petition.  If you’re a blogger – add their widget – you can see mine on the side there.  You can also follow them on Twitter, and Facebook.

Please use the “share this” button below and share it with everyone you know through whatever services you have. Stumble, Digg, Propeller, etc – this is an important story and needs to get out there. Take the video and put it up on your blogs too.

A mother goes to jail for beating up a piece of shit pedophile.

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: Children, Hypocrit, Idiots, Liberals, Nutjob, Parents, Pedophiles, Pervert

What the hell is this world coming to when we can’t even protect our children from freakin convicted child predators? Here’s the story:

Mother Sentenced for Attacking Sex Offender

Is this Puyallup, WA, mom remorseful or scared? “I’d do it again, if not better,” she tells ABC News Seattle affiliate KOMO-TV.

I would have shot the asshole!

Gibson pleaded no contest to assault charges last week against hulking 7-foot-3 William A. Baldwin, a Level-3 sex offender. She could have received as much as eight months in jail.

“I don’t care if it hurts me, I don’t regret it,” says Gibson. “It got him away from my kids and all the other kids in the neighborhood.”

Again – Bravo Mrs. Gibson!  You did what any parent should have done.  Especially when you consider this asshole is 7-foot-3!!!  I’m just wondering how many other mothers would actually have had the cajones to do what you did to this hulking monster. BTW – did anybody else notice this guy’s name is William Baldwin?  Probably not a connection – but – considering those Baldwin boys are all douchebags – wouldn’t surprise me at all if there really was a family connection there somewhere.

For my readers – if any of you are inclined to think she acted unreasonably – here’s the definition of a Level 3 sex offender straight from The Washington State Sex Offender Information Center -

These offenders pose a potential high risk to the community and are a threat to re-offend if provided the opportunity. Most have prior sex crime convictions as well as other criminal convictions. Their lifestyles and choices place them in this classification. Some have predatory characteristics and may seek out victims. They may have refused or failed to complete approved treatment programs.

Given the above definition – she had every reason to believe her 10-year old daughter was in harms way.

Baldwin moved into his uncle’s home last June, shortly before county deputies had distributed fliers around the neighborhood to alert residents of his presence.

On June 19, Gibson went to the house in the trailer park looking for Baldwin. When he walked outside, Gibson accused him of molesting her children. She hit him repeatedly and allegedly injured his arm. But here’s the twist: Gibson later told police he had not molested her daughter, Renee Maria Perez, saying instead that she recognized Baldwin from the flier as the man who had chatted up Renee last summer.

“For him to be right there, in front of my house and talking to my child — made me crazy,” she says. “I just told him that if it were up to me, I’d kill ya.”‘

Renee, now 11, was in tears during the sentencing. “He tried to give me fireworks and I wouldn’t take it,” she says.

Gibson says she hopes the attention created by her case will trigger a change in the laws regarding released sex offenders.

“I would hope that me doing this and going to jail would change something, change some kind of law, change something where people like him can’t be standing around little kids?” Gibson says. “It’s not right, it’s not fair to the kids at all.”

Unfortunately, Mrs. Gibson – given the fact that we have liberals, judges, and the ACLU out there protecting these bastards – I’m not sure what you expect to happen – especially since you live in one of the most liberal states in the country.  I hope for the sake of your children and for children around this country you are able to do something.

Whether this mother should be punished for protecting her child is up for debate. Who wouldn’t rage at a sex offender spending time with your young daughter? But Baldwin was accused and attacked (unprovoked) at his home. Living near a sex offender is enough to put any parent on edge, but last checked, vigilantism is still against the law.

Elise Nersesian say what?  Apparently you must be single and/or have no children.  There should be no debate at all with regards to what this mother did.  Debate only exists because of pansy-assed liberals like yourself that think pedophiles have rights too.

Baldwin was attacked unprovoked?  Bullshit!  The fact that this LEVEL 3 sex offender tried to offer a “gift” and tried to chat up a 10 year old girl – which you damned well know is a violation of his probation – is indeed provocation.  He deserved to get his nads cut off, let alone have a baseball bat taken to his arm.

Vigilantism?  You gotta be freakin’ kidding me?  I’m sorry, but EVERY parent in this country has the right to protect their children.  That’s not vigilantism – that’s good parenting.  Fucknozzles like you just don’t get it and never will.  I hope you never have children.

Baldwin has since moved from Tacoma to Seattle — a soon-to-be neighbor to another parent’s children.

What do you think — is Gibson a criminal or righteous mother hen?

What do you think dipshit?

I’m sure this will have the ACLU seeing spots!

Posted by: The BoBo  //  Category: ACLU, Civil Rights, government

I had considered talking about the big news today regarding the fact that GWB finally lifted the moratorium on offshore drilling after his dad instituted it 17 years ago – and – now the rest of the country will now get to see how obstructionist the Dems are regarding our natural resources – but – I figure everyone else will be talking about it. Instead – I came across this story – and it’s a pretty good one.

Printer dots raise privacy concerns

See that image of yellow dots over there to the right? I found that over here at this website: Seeing Yellow. Apparently, those little yellow dots are automatically printed on everything and anything whenever you print something using a laser printer. This technology has been around since the 1980′s when laser printers first came out. This series of yellow dots (virtually naked to the eye) is a tracking code for the printer. If you use a blue LED light you can see the dots. Every laser printer has their own identification code, so, if anyone ever wanted to find out who printed something, they can show this dot pattern to the laser printer manufacturer and they can tell you what printer it came from and who bought it.

Okay – so – initially this would seem like a big privacy concern, right? Here’s some of that story:

The dots, invisible to the naked eye, can be seen using a blue LED light and are used by authorities such as the Secret Service to investigate counterfeit bills made with laser printers, says Lorelei Pagano, director of the Central Bank Counterfeit Deterrence Group.

The technology began as laser printers were first produced in the mid-1980s and governments and banks feared an explosion of counterfeiting, Xerox spokesman Bill McKee says. “In many cases, it is a requirement to do business internationally that the printers are equipped with this technology,” McKee says.

The dots tell authorities the serial number of a printer that made a document. In some cases, it also tells the time and date it was printed, Pagano says. “The Secret Service is the only U.S. body that has the ability to decode the information,” she says.

Printer makers “cooperate with law enforcement” and will tell authorities where a printer was made and sold, McKee says.

The Secret Service uses the dots only to investigate counterfeiting, agency spokesman Ed Donovan says.

So – essentially, the only people who have access to this information are the Secret Service for the purposes of tracking counterfeiters and putting them behind bars. Sounds pretty good to me. I don’t get what the big deal is. We’ve gone almost 30 years without incidence. Here’s the concern:

Privacy advocates worry that the little-known technology could ensnare political dissidents, whistle-blowers or anyone who prints materials that authorities want to track.

Oh! I get it! We should ensure the privacy of political dissidents or anyone who prints materials the authorities want to track! I can perhaps see the issue with the whistle-blowers. However, in order for a whistle-blower lawsuit to go through, the government will identify them in public documents anyway – so – that takes that issue away.

But – even if the Secret Service wanted to use it to track anyone else other than counterfeiters – you know, for example – political dissidents or other criminals – why shouldn’t they? Again, privacy advocates are more concerned about the rights of criminals and criminal enterprises than they are the general public.

Again, just like with FISA and the Patriot Act – they’re all in an uproar over nothing. Unless you’re a criminal printing up things you shouldn’t you don’t have a problem with this. They’ve been utilizing this form of surveillance for 30 years – why are people just now becoming concerned about of all of this? There hasn’t been a violation or misuse of this program by the Secret Service at all.

It’s just more drum-beating by the paranoid. The ACLU hasn’t jumped on this yet, but, I’m sure there will be a lawsuit filed by the end of the week to get the manufacturers barred from adding this to all the laser printers.

Bush Signs Spy Bill and Draws Lawsuit
By Randall Mikkelsen,Reuters

WASHINGTON (July 10) – President Bush signed a law on Thursday overhauling the rules for eavesdropping on terrorism suspects but immediately met a civil liberties challenge calling it a threat to Americans’ privacy.

“This law will protect the liberties of our citizens while maintaining the vital flow of intelligence,” Bush said at a White House ceremony to mark a rare legislative victory for the president during his last year in office.

The American Civil Liberties Union filed suit in Manhattan federal court as Bush signed the measure and called for the law to be voided as a violation of constitutional speech and privacy protections.

“Spying on Americans without warrants or judicial approval is an abuse of government power, and that’s exactly what this law allows,” ACLU Executive Director Anthony Romero said in announcing the suit.

What the hell is wrong with these people? “Spying on Americans”? We’re spying on known Islamofascists calling from overseas…or….to known Islamofascists living overseas. I really really hate these guys. They about as useful as a nutsack on a fly.

The action was filed on behalf of human-rights groups, journalists, labor organizations and others who say they fear the law will allow the U.S. government to monitor their activities, including compiling of critical reports on the United States.

Ummm…only if you’re associating with know Islamofascists you dirtbags! My suggestion..don’t accept any collect calls from Mohammed Asshead!

Bush quickly signed the bill a day after Congress gave it final approval, with Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama dropping earlier opposition to vote for passage. Obama’s Republican rival, Sen. John McCain, has supported the bill but was absent for Wednesday’s vote.

The bill authorizes U.S. intelligence agencies to eavesdrop without court approval on foreign targets believed to be outside the United States.

The administration says the measure will allow it to swiftly track terrorists. But the suit charges the law permits warrantless surveillance of phone calls and e-mails of U.S. citizens who may have legal and legitimate reasons for contacting people targeted by government spying.

Really? And what legitimate and legal reasons would ANY true-red-blooded American have for calling known Islamofascists? Again…assclowns…all of them!

The bill seeks to minimize such eavesdropping on Americans, but the suit says the safeguards are inadequate.

The law lets government “conduct intrusive surveillance without ever telling a court who it intends to surveil, what phone lines and e-mail addresses it intends to monitor, where its surveillance targets are located, or why it’s conducting the surveillance,” said ACLU National Security Director Jameel Jaffer, the lead attorney in the suit.

NO SHIT! It wouldn’t be SPYING then would it if we let everyone know ahead of time when, who, what, why, where, and whatever the frak we’re doing! These guys have no brains at all!

The most contentious issue in negotiations over the bill was a provision that grants liability protection to telecommunication companies that took part in a warrantless domestic spying program Bush began after the Sept. 11 attacks.

The law shields those firms from billions of dollars in potential damages from privacy lawsuits.

McCain criticized Obama’s vote in favor of the law as an inconsistency, and ACLU Legislative Director Caroline Fredrickson called it “very disappointing.”

The Democrat’s campaign had earlier said he would support efforts to block legislation with a telecommunications immunity provision, but Obama voted for the overall bill Bush signed after casting a losing vote to strip the immunity provision.

“Given the choice between voting for an improved yet imperfect bill, and losing important surveillance tools, I’ve chosen to support the current compromise,” Obama said on his campaign Web site.

I already covered Obama’s flip-flop on this issue – no need to drag a dead horse through that mud again…although…he isn’t exactly dead yet is he? ;)
