So, we keep hearing that if we don’t raise the debt ceiling above $14.3 Trillion – then the country defaults on all of our loans and we won’t be able to pay for any of the spending already authorized by Congress…and we have Geithner out there now saying that if we default – then the GOP is to blame.
What kind of bullshit is that?
1 – While the GOP would shoulder some of the blame – almost all of the blame lies on the shoulders of the Democrats. They held the majority since 2007 and had a supermajority for 2 years. In the last 2 years – Obama has increased our debts and deficit more than any previous president. In just those two years – his spending totals MORE than all presidents in history.
The GOP is only partly to blame because they have followed right along with the tax and spend Democrats since the early 1900′s. No Republican has ever done anything significant to reduce our spending or our debts.
2 – If Congress doesn’t raise the debt ceiling – then the Fed will have to pump in more dollars – this would actually give the U.S. an extra 2 months before we actually do default on any loans.
With these things in mind – what the fuck, man? So, if the debt ceiling isn’t raised that means that the U.S. cannot borrow any more money from other countries in order to pay for spending authorized by Congress. That doesn’t mean we default. That is a red herring. We only default if we don’t actually pay our debts.
As a kid, my father always said – if you’re stupid enough to get yourself in debt – you pay your debts before you pay yourself. Once you pay your debts then you can pay yourself.
This is really simple financial planning.
A.) How much income do you have coming in?
B.) What needs do you have? (Food, shelter, clothing, heat, water, utilities, etc.)
C.) How much do you need to save for emergencies? (Reserves)
D.) Is there anything left over?
If you have any left over then you can use it as discretionary income to have fun with and buy those “wants” or use credit – and budget the remaining left over towards paying on that credit.
Simple – your budget is balanced – Income & Liabilities = 0
So, here is what our politicians are faced with – we have out of this fucking world spending programs and a shitload of stuff we don’t need to be spending on (foreign aide, cradle-to-grave entitlements, redundant government agencies, and agencies that usurp states’ rights). I have a very simple solution to this.
Don’t raise the debt ceiling – in other words – don’t borrow another damned penny from anybody
Make the debt payment
Find areas in the current spending and just cut that department/spending/entitlement – and use that to pay the debt. Whatever is left over – then you pay for those services.
Put in a balanced budget amendment that forces the government to balance to “0″ every year – eliminate the debt altogether
Put a budget in place that SIGNIFICANTLY reduces spending and the size of government.
Put a cap on government spending – equal to the amount of incoming tax revenue each year
So – in other words – how much does the government have coming in from taxes, then budget to the revenue only. No debt, no borrowing, no more deficit spending. In fact – the balanced budget amendment needs to place a ban on deficit spending. Those of us in the real world have to do it – we need to make these idiot politicians accountable and hold their feet to the fire.
Finally – get rid of all the damned liberals. They have destroyed this country – that includes RINOs. It is time we get back to the values that made this country great – values that says every person in this country has the ability to succeed on their own merits. If a person succeeds – they should not be punished by the government for their success, nor should they be vilified for being successful. Government needs to be reigned in and held to the constitutional limits placed on them. This government was created with a notion they would stay out of the way of business and individual liberties – and create rules and regulations that would allow individuals to be creative and pursue their own path to happiness.
I am not anti-government. I am only asking for the government that our founders gave us – a representative republic with a very limited federal government.
What The Hell? I do believe those libtards are trying to rewrite history and take credit where no credit is due them.

Whoa there Nellie – Since when did the Bush Tax Cuts become the Obama middle-income tax cuts? They are trying to change not only the narrative here but are trying to take credit for an existing program to put some kind of positive spin on this hugely negative administration with all the huge policy mistakes they have been making. The biggest mistake they can make is to not extend the tax cuts to those making more than $250k year also. The problem with libtards is they somehow have this idea that demand-side economics works. They think if you put money in the pockets of middle-class that will somehow increase demand – even though you do nothing to help the suppliers.
Let’s break this down real quickly here – The Law of Supply and Demand

When Supply is high and Demand is high – prices remain relatively level and suppliers can push the envelope on their pricing strategy. They can increase prices until the demand starts dropping. They now know their spot price for goods. This also means that suppliers can continue to hire in order to meet the high demand.

When Supply is high and Demand is low – prices have to come down in order to meet the demand and potentially spur increased sells through a lower pricing strategy. But – what happens for suppliers is that they have to lay off employees because there is lower production. This is the point where our economy is at right now. This is where we need to also give tax breaks to high income earners and suppliers to help create demand for their goods to spur production leading to increased hiring.

When Supply is low and Demand is high – Prices go through the roof. If suppliers don’t have the necessary employees to keep up with production – there will be considerable lag before enough people are hired to meet the demand. This is the part where libtards think creating high demand can be done by giving money to the consumers without doing anything to help the suppliers. Suppliers will keep prices high in order to build reserves to be able to hire. The problem with this is that eventually, demand will decrease because people cannot afford the products/services at such high prices. Suppliers will need to find a way to keep enough interest in their product to keep demand high to the point they will eventually be able to hire people on. This never works. Eventually – supply will come up a little and demand will come down to the point they both reach an equilibrium.

When Supply is low and Demand is low – prices can go either way – high or low – depending on the product/service. No jobs are created in this scenario.
Ideally – our economy works best under scenario #1 – consumers are buying and producers are selling and hiring. We are nearing the end of scenario #2 heading right to scenario #4. If the idiots in Congress push for scenario #3 – our economy is sunk for a long time. If you only give consumers the money but don’t give suppliers the money to market their goods and services to create a demand – consumers aren’t just going to start spending. If this government gives money through tax breaks only to the middle-class – rather than spending that money – which is what the libtards thingkwill happen – because of the way this economy is – that money will go either to paying off debt, saving it, or both. It will not make it back in to the economy to spur job growth.
None of those libtards understand economics or real-world business because none of them have absolutely any private sector experience where they managed a budget. They are not, nor have they ever been, producers. They are all career politicians that have been nothing but spenders. They don’t truly understand how our economy, the free market capitalism system, or business actually operates. I wonder if they all manage their own personal finances the way they handle the peoples’ money? Do they really go out and put more money on their credit cards when they are in debt thinking that by doing so it will get them out of debt? If not, why do they think that works for our government and our economy?

One last thing – regarding that new “small business jobs” bill that the Senate just past – that $42 Billion monstrosity that supposed will help spur small businesses – tell me exactly how that is supposed to work? $30 Billion of that goes to BANKS again – those very same banks that aren’t lending money now. The other $12 Billion gets spent over a 10 year period as tax breaks. So essentially – that $12 Billion is not real money. That is “expected” revenue that is written off and no longer put in the budget since the government is now say – small business who meet these certain criteria will catch a break over the next 10 years that MIGHT equal $12 Billion. Essentially – what this bill is is another $30 Billion dollar bailout to the banks and does absolutely nothing for the economy. Somehow by giving another bailout to the banks they think this will create 500,000 jobs. Let’s analyze that number real quick – 42,000,000,000 / 500,000 = 84,000. It will cost taxpayers $84,000 per job created – assuming it actually creates that many jobs – which it won’t do since the banks are the only one’s who benefit here. But – let’s look at reality – $30 Billion goes to the banks. That leaves only $12 Billion for the small businesses to create jobs with – but remember – that is not actual money being given to the small businesses – this is just money they collectively do not have to pay to the government over 10 years – still 12,000,000,000 / 500,000 = $24,000. ONLY $24,000 is allocated to the actual creation of jobs. Poverty level in this country starts at $22,000 for a family of 4. $24,000/yr is only $11.53/hr.
Seriously – do they really think we’re that stupid? Let’s call this bill what it really is – Big Bank Bailout #5! – or – Payback to Obambi’s contributors.
NOW – Let’s close this out the right way – Today is Constitution Day – Our founding fathers built the nation and created the best government system in the world on September 17, 1787. They must all be spinning in their graves today to see how those progressive libtards have shredded this document and destroyed our Republic. Anyway – Check out the National Constitution Center website. Some really cool stuff over there. You can get your own pocket constitution – and – take the naturalization test – and find out what founder you most resemble. I already have a pocket constitution – I passed the naturalization test with a 100% and I best resemble James Madison (ideologically – not physically). If you have children – get them involved today. Teach them about our founders, the constitution, and what this country is supposed to be like.

Today there is another story related to the 14th Amendment and those idiots who want to change it – this article is actually pretty good in trying to point out the reason why we need to modify the 14th Amendment to stop anchor babies -

That is freakin’ crazy, people. That is just in Texas alone and on an annual basis. That alone would almost make me change my opinion and suggest we change the 14th Amendment. However, I stand by my initial statement – it doesn’t need to be changed. I’m in agreement with one of my commenters – U.S. Common Sense – rather than amend the amendment – introduce and pass legislation that clarifies that only children born to legal residents may become U.S. citizens by birth.
One good argument coming from those who want to change the 14th Amendment (Leo Berman (R-Tyler Texas) stated this -
“I’ve checked the Congressional Record for when the 14th Amendment was written, and the author was quoted as saying that it did not apply to foreigners,” he said. “There’s no question in my mind about it.”
I checked the congressional record also – Here is the exact quote from Jacob Howard referred to by Rep Berman. This comes from the conference prior to the adoption of the Amendment.
“…This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreignors, aliens or who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons. It settles the great question of citizenship and removes all doubt as to what persons are or are not citizens of the United States.”
It seems to me that is pretty clear. For those that don’t know – Jacob Howard was a Senator and Representative and the author of the 14th Amendment. SCOTUS needs to issue a binding opinion that clearly states this intent. As I said before, there is no need to change the Amendment. It is 100% clear that babies born to illegal aliens are not supposed to be U.S. citizens. All we need to do is enforce the laws as written and intended. Despite what Mr. Howard stated – it does seem that 200 years later this is still a great question. One that should not exist.

Even the title got it right. We have a lot of lame-brained idiot GOP Senators in Congress right now mulling over whether or not we need to change the language of the 14th Amendment regarding “anchor babies.”
These idiots being:
Senators Mitch McConnell, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Jeff Sessions and Jon Kyl.
Yes – they’re idiots. This one is the biggest of all by stating the following:
“I’m not sure exactly what the drafters of the amendment had in mind,” said Mr. Sessions, the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee, “but I doubt it was that somebody could fly in from Brazil and have a child and fly back home with that child, and that child is forever an American citizen.”
Hey, lame-brain – if you don’t know what they had in mind – leave it the fuck alone. Here is the main problem – while there may not be plane-loads of pregnant Brazilians on their way to have babies – we do in fact have millions of pregnant Mexican women coming here simply to have babies so they can be American citizens. Sure, this was not the intent of the 14th Amendment when written.
The language that is posing this problem for the idiots is this:
Section. 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.
Mr. Sessions – and you other idiots – here is the history and intent of this section of the Constitution since you don’t seem to understand it – Our founders were white rich folk who owned slaves. Many who wrote the Constitution and this amendment were abolitionists in support of freeing those slaves. One way to ensure slaves could be set free were to make them actual citizens of the United States. This essentially said that all negroes born in the U.S. became citizens with all the rights afforded any other white citizen in this country. The history and intent are pretty clear.
Has this been abused in the modern era? Absolutely. Do we need to change the language? Hell No. I am probably going against the grain of my fellow conservative brethren – but – bear with me. I have stated several times that I am a strict constitutionalist and believe the constitution as written is solid. The amendments that were successfully ratified and added were all well thought out and written. When there was a mistake (the 18th Amendment) it was successfully nullified and repealed through the 21st Amendment. The 14th Amendment was adopted in 1868 – 142 years ago. It has withstood time and many challenges but has yet to be repealed.
The GOP is trying to ratchet things up now by playing on fears as suggested in this article. While the vast majority of this country hate the idea of amnesty to 10′s of millions of ILLEGAL ALIENS – changing the 14th Amendment solves nothing. I get the idea that in order to be a citizen by birth it would make sense that you should be here legally when you give birth. But, that is not what the 14th Amendment states. The 14th Amendment gives hope to all non-American citizens (legal or illegal) that their children would have a better life than where they came from.
These idiot GOP’ers are just playing on the country’s collective anger against what is happening in Arizona. We all know the Federal Government has now become the enemy of the states by joining the ACLU and filing a lawsuit against S.B. 1070 (if you haven’t read the 17 page bill – that is a link to a PDF). These idiot senators are hoping to stir enough anger and fear about anchor babies and illegal aliens that you will want to vote for them in the next election cycle. Don’t let them fool you. As we all know, McCain and Graham tried to get an amnesty bill passed a couple years ago. They no more truly support enforcing immigration law than Felipe Calderon wants to help keep them from crossing our borders in to the U.S. Sessions is just an idiot – and – Kyl has been the senator from Arizona for many years and has done absolutely NOTHING to support Arizona’s efforts to secure those borders until now. McConnell is an idiot just following along because he is the Minority leader. They think by grand standing like this you might actually believe they are serious about illegal immigration. WRONG! What they are proposing is not a solution. It is simple fear mongering in hopes there are enough sheeple out there that will follow them down that path.
To solve this problem of an abuse of the 14th Amendment and anchor babies – all that needs to happen is that we actually enforce the current laws already on the books. If we built the border fence and actually controlled and documented who is crossing our borders – that would cut down on the anchor baby situation. If we actually fined those modern day corporate slavers who hire illegals – that would deny them the ability to make a living here. If we actually fined those landlords who house illegals – that would deny them the ability to seek shelter. If we denied them free social and public services – that would deny them access to health care, public housing, food stamps, etc.
If we actually enforce the laws on the books and detained and immediately deported them knowing if they come back they will serve actual jail time in a federal prison – they would not come back. We already have the means to stop the anchor baby situation – just follow the law. There is no need to change the 14th Amendment. It is written perfectly as is.
