Posts Tagged ‘Sarah Palin’

I decided to take the weekend to think her resignation through before I commented on it.  After lots of thought about it – it’s brilliant!  Sarah Palin has put herself out there as a Conservative first – Republican second.  Sure – she might still be one of those Republitards – but – her resignation has just solidified her standing as a Fiscal Conservative.

She has proven that she is thinking about the taxpayers of Alaska by stepping aside.  Those idiots on the left have been coming after her ever since her nomination as the VP elect – then they really stepped over the line and went after her teenage daughter and her handicapped child.  They have no shame.  In addition, they continue to file frivolous ethics charges against her that continue to be overturned.  She has spent millions of Alaskan taxpayer money defending herself in addition to being away from her office to answer to these charges.

Other than showing what a fiscal conservative she is – now that she has stepped down – she has control of the reigns now.  She can now step out in to the spotlight and let those idiots on the left really have it.  She can actually defend herself without having to worry about it reflecting on her as the Governor, nor does she have to worry about wasting taxpayer money.

Unlike Obama, Biden, McCain, and Hillary – who all campaigned for 18 months – all drawing a full paycheck and benefits from we the taxpayers without performing the jobs they were hired to do – this frees Palin up and does not provide any fodder for those idiots on the left.

In response to their charges that she quit – umm – really?  Why are they not holding Obama, Biden, Clinton, Emmanuel, Sebellius, & Napolitano to the same standard?  Did they not all quit their jobs that they were elected to?  In fact, both Biden and Emmanuel had just been re-elected to their positions.  What is the difference?  Every one of them “turned their backs on their constituents” also.  That’s just another lame excuse from the loony left.  I personally believe they are scared to death of Palin.  She recently had 20,000 people come to meet her at a parade.  There are only 26,000 people in that town.  Meanwhile, Biden goes out on a townhall tour and only 100 people out of a population of 103,000 showed up.

Palin has charisma and can attract conservatives from all around the country – Republican, Democrat, and Independents alike.  She scares the hell out of not only the Democraps, but the Republitards as well. I stand behind her decision to resign to take on a national presence.  Go Get Em, Sarah!

UPDATE! – Looks like I’m not the only one – Atlas Shrugs Vlogs Sarah Palin – and – seems she and I are on the same mindlink.  I’m in good company!

Again! I have the great pleasure of hosting some really great posts from this past week from some really great bloggers. Bet you can’t figure what a lot of them are about?

Conservative

ChristianPF presents McCain/Obama – Who is better for your money? posted at Money in the Bible | Christian Personal Finance Blog, saying, “A debate over which candidate is better for your wallet”

Actually – that’s the question posed over at this blog.  It’s up to you as the commenters to debate the issue.

Hairy Swede presents Doing My Civic Duty in Sweden posted at A Swedish American in Sweden, saying, “An American abroad votes conservative. From a very non-conservative country.”

Having grown up in the military and serving myself – I found myself abroad on two occasions in which I had to vote absentee as well.  I commend you for doing your civic duty – and from so far away at that!  When I was reading your first paragraph – I had to chuckle – as that was NEVER my experience when I was in Europe!  Then I got to your follow-up – good one!

Steve Parry presents Congratulations To Barack Obama posted at The Axis, saying, “Setting the record straight.”

Excellent post, Steve.  While I am not predicting doom and gloom myself – I will agree that Obama will most definitely weaken the U.S.  The Republicans lost this election because a.) McCain was a very poor choice of candidate, and b.) The Republicans forgot who they were and lost their way.  They kinda forgot they were supposed to be AGAINST big government, didn’t they? This is an excellent call to conservatives and to D.C. Republicans to return to their roots.

Curry Kenworthy presents Conservatives don’t really understand elections posted at Curry Kenworthy, saying, “Conservatives are brilliant on the issues, but liberals know how to get out the vote–and change the culture.”

Eh! I sorta agree.  There was a huge turnout during the Reagan years to get people involved.  However, for the most part, I would agree with a lot of the rest of what you have to say.  In fact, Obama used technology brilliantly as compared to the McCain campaign.  You wouldn’t believe how many “MyObamaSpace” pages I came across.  Apparently, they set up their own Obama campaign social network.  Additionally, they collected millions of cell phone numbers and were sending out texts messages regularly on election day to get those young’ns out there to vote.  The turnout was the same as in 2004 – but – they pulled the youth vote in that wasn’t there before.  I think a lot of Republicans and Conservatives stayed home this year.

Democrats

The Hip Hop Democrat presents Jay-Z running for Mayor of New York City in 2009? posted at The Hip Hop DEMOCRAT.

Now that is funny!  But, let me also remind you of a few other celebrity politicians – mostly from the past: Ronald Reagan, Sonny Bono, Al Franken, Fred Grandy, P.T. Barnum (yes, THAT P.T. Barnum), Bill Bradley (former basketball player), Clint Eastwood (I lived in Monterey when he was the Mayor of Carmel), and John Glenn (former astronaut) just to name a few.  The most recent ones we have are Al Franken and Jerry Springer.  But, you’re right – I can’t see Jay-Z being the Mayor of NYC either.  I can’t see him filling the same shoes as Bloomberg, Giuliani, Koch, and LaGuardia, just to name a few of the great ones!

Sarah Scrafford presents Obama vs. McCain: What the Next President Will Mean for Day Traders posted at Currency Trading.net.

Well, I personally don’t know much about day trading.  I’m in it for the long haul.  But – if I have any day traders who read this blog – there is some good info over there.  While this is initially a comparison of both candidates – now that Obama has been elected – this is a good primer to follow up and see how Obama fares in the economy and what happens with the market.

TheMoneyHawk presents Reality Check: The President Can’t Save Us, Nor Should He posted at The Money Hawk, saying, “Everyone in the country needs to read this article, period.”

Ahh, yes!  A financial blogger after my own heart!  I’m a firm believer in personal responsibility!  Most excellent post – a good read for everyone!

Madeleine Begun Kane presents Celebratory Limerick posted at Mad Kane’s Political Madness.

We’ll see! This freakin’ two year election cycle put a world of hurt on this country!

Sam Douglas presents Mandatory Internet Censorship and our Right to Choose posted at Philosophy Hurts Your Head.

You know, I read about this and heard about this on the news.  I sure as hell hope they don’t try to pull this kinda shit here in the U.S.  I feel bad for you Aussies.  You’d think your government was being led by the Chinese or something!

Hortois presents Pumpkin for President posted at The Compost Heap, saying, “light hearted”

Um – okay – we’ll let it slide by THIS time!  If it weren’t for that little pun at the end there – I probably would have nixed this one.  And..considering Thanksgiving is up next here in the U.S. – and – I just LOVE pumpkin pi ;) – these are good tips for pumpkin growers and gardners.

Ron McKie presents Hide the children posted at Phuck Politics.

OMG!  Too funny – and yet – at the same time – so sad!  Is this the next generation to lead our country! Lord help us.

GrrlScientist presents Living the Scientific Life (Scientist, Interrupted): Election Eve 2008 Celebration in NYC’s Times Square posted at Living the Scientific Life, saying, “One of the nice things about living in NYC is the fact that there are often fun things happening that are both spontaneous and free-of-charge. One of those events occurred last evening and continued through the wee hours of today, when I spent election eve in NYC’s Times Square, along with half a million other people.”

You know – when I first read this – the first thing that came to mind was the last South Park episode with half the town celebrating, getting drunk, tipping cars, and puking everywhere (especially after seeing the picture of the guy hanging on the streetlight – that’s EXACTLY what Stan’s dad did, LOL) – while the other half of the town were either hiding in bunkers or killing themselves.

Those are some great pix you have up there.  My favorite is the close-up of the police officer.  Excellent blend of pix to illustrate your content.  I enjoyed your journey!

John Kaduk presents Russia Starts Taking Advantage Of Obama posted at The Right Wing.

THIS must be what Biden was talking about!  We’ll see, John!  I see the cold war starting all over again under an Obama Presidency.  I’m sure his weak ass will back off.  After all, he’d rather TALK – which won’t mean shit to Putin!

Ron McKie presents Fuck this day posted at Phuck Politics.

Had a bad day did we Ron? I wish I had done as you and watched some movies instead of torturing myself through the evening watching all of that.  My sentiments exactly!

Politics

David Lamb presents Riding the Wave of Recession: A history of economic depression in presidential politics posted at Killer Buffalo, saying, “I didn’t realize you did the carnival so often. I’m glad I didn’t miss my chance!”

One of my fellow bloggers from Inside Government! But – oh, David – how dare you try to tell us that Clinton left Bush with a higher debt than he started with!  Don’t you know that he left office with a surplus! Rubbish!  I guess all those I.O.U.’s in the Social Security till didn’t count!  But, with hindsight being 20/20 – I would say that you were spot on with regards to the economic downturn being blamed on Bush as the primary reason McCain lost.  Personally, I see Obama doing the same thing as Carter.  While he is surrounding himself with Clinton era staff – we already know how that turned out – I think he’s going to make even worse mistakes than Clinton did.  I still don’t see how those libs are able to seriously say that we had prosperity during Clinton’s reign.  I guess they will always re-write history to slant their way.

Joe Hayes presents Political Jokes posted at Restoring Your Finances and Your Faith, saying, “Some really funny politically oriented jokes, just in time for the Election! Includes Barack Obama and John McCain related humor, and quotes from famous people too.”

I‘ve seen some of these before – others are new!  Good one!

PicktheBrain presents Obama, McCain Education Plans Compared posted at Ace Online Schools.

Well – since we don’t really have to worry about McCain’s plans – we’ll just have to see what kind of damage Obama can do to our education system.  Personally, the first thing I would do is get rid of that No Child Left Behind crap!  The fact of the matter is – that program is designed to leave kids behind.  They force low performing kids to drop out of high school and encourage them to go for their G.E.D.s instead which gets those from bringing their scores down.  Not only that – but rather than teach the kids the basics – the schools are teaching to the test instead.

I think his most dangerous plan is to force ALL student loans through the government – just growing Government again!  We know what his unflinching support for Fannie & Freddie did.

Raymond presents My Vote Does Not Matter Because I Do Not Live In A Swing State posted at Money Blue Book.

Personally, I think every vote counts.  However, I do agree with you that our Electoral College system of voting needs to either be changed or completely eradicated.  But – while you might think your vote doesn’t matter nationally – it DOES matter locally – and – does have an impact nationally when voting for your Representatives and Senators!

GrrlScientist presents Sarah Palin: In her own words posted at Living the Scientific Life, saying, “Sarah Palin’s greatest hits: Proof that all a woman needs to succeed in America is a pretty face and a tight ass.”

I think you guys are being WAAY to hard on Sarah.  She’s a lot more intelligent than you guys realize.  The problem is that the McCain camp scripted her.  I’ve seen her in action prior to her being selected as VEEP.  When she’s not scripted – she comes off real classy.  There’s a reason why she has a 90% approval rating in her state – and it’s not because she’s hot!

What you may not know is that during the entire election cycle – she held a security clearance higher than both Obama and McCain.  She’s briefed daily on the National Security Intelligence because of Alaska’s proximity to Russia.  She had inside knowledge that neither Obama or McCain had.  Obama is just now getting those daily briefings that she receives every day as the Alaskan governor.  The Alaskan National Guard and the U.S. Air Force in Alaska are on 24/7 alert because of Russia.  She knows the compliment and capabilities of the entire military forces at her disposal.  Russia is a real threat – and – she’s 100% correct when she was talking about Russia in American/Alaskan air space every time the take off.  (I have inside knowledge on that as well).

Regarding her comments regarding the job of the VP – according to the U.S. Constitution – she’s 100% correct about that as well!  You might want to go back and read that document.

Her biggest problem regarding all those other interviews was that she got caught up in the talking points that she was required to stay on.  I hope one day you get an opportunity to see her in action without the cue cards.  You might change your opinion about her.

Alli presents Rahm Emanuel Advocates Compulsory Civil Service posted at The Smoking Argus, saying, “As previously reported, then Democratic Presidential candidate, Barack Obama while speaking in Colorado this past July, stated:

“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objective that we’ve set. We’ve gotta have a “Civilian National Security Force” that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded.””

Excellent post Alli.  I’ve lived overseas where military service is compulsory.  I would hate to see this happen in this country – even in a Civilian National Security Force.  Sounds kinda like Hitler’s Brown Shirts to me.  Also – wasn’t it JFK that instituted the draft?  It seems to me those loony liberals who are supposed to be all about civil liberties and freedom are the first ones to push FORCED service to the country.

Steve Faber presents How Will President Barack Obama Change What You Drive? posted at super gas saver, saying, “One thing about Obama, he has ambition. He also has an agenda to go along with it. A part of that will definitely have an impact on your choice of vehicle in the future.”

Bwahahaha!  That’s some pretty funny shit! Oh – wait – you were serious!  Hey, I’m all for getting better mileage to the gallon and all – but – not at the expense of our economy.  These are some pretty lofty plans that you have outlined over at your place.  But, I don’t see it happening – especially the plug-in hybrids.  We are sooooo far away from having an efficient fuel-cell battery that 2015 is not even foreseeable.  We could have more oil and natural gas in production to fuel this country economically before that would ever happen.

Also – that use it or lose it lease program – in case you aren’t aware – the oil companies would LOVE to lose those leases they have.  There’s no oil in them – but – the government forces them to continue to hold on to them and pay them for these bad leases.  They’ve been explored and have been found to be empty.  The problem is – the government won’t lease the areas that HAVE the oil in them because they don’t want the oil companies drilling.  As a consumer – I would LOVE for those oil companies to lose those bad leases as well – it would help to bring down the price of gas.

Anyway – for those of you who don’t know Obama’s plans – this is a great place to find out!  See if you agree with it.

DWSUWF presents President Barack Obama – Let the healing begin. posted at Divided We Stand United We Fall, saying, “Barack Obama will indeed unify the left with the far left, pull in the moderate left, and be the President that speaks clearly for the entire sweeping 52% mandate they represent. Congratulations to the moderate, centrist, libertarian, and conservative blogging brethren who embraced Obama’s rhetoric of change and hope. You got what you hoped for!”

Oh how correct you are! BTW – I watched that South Park episode the other night.  If you haven’t seen the whole thing – it’s freakin hilarious!  Now – back to the regularly schedule program.  Don’t you just love the way the left is throwing out their olive branches and embracing EVERYONE in this country!  You have some great examples there of just how much love the left has and how they will do what they need to do to help unify and bring everyone together for the good of this country!  Oh, I sure HOPE when they realize the CHANGE Obama has in mind is not the CHANGE they HOPED for – they don’t start blaming it on we Conservatives – considering we’re the minority now and have absolutely no power in D.C.!

U.S. Common Sense presents Open letter to Barack Obama posted at U.S. Common Sense, saying, “This one has already been picked up by Reuters and Palm Beach Post. It is a letter welcoming and warning Obama on his entrance into the White House.”

Excellent letter!  How the heck do you get picked up by Reuters?  This is a great read for all.

Kevin presents How to Deal With Election Withdrawal posted at The Red Stapler Chronicles.

Sam presents NEW !! The Bank Crisis, the Subprime Mortgage Crisis and How they Affect You posted at Surfer Sam and Friends, saying, “The Bank Crisis, the Subprime Mortgage Crisis And How They Affect You

At the foundation of the bank crisis and the stock market crash of 2008 are money, greed and risk.

The New World of Mortgages

Traditionally, when you applied for a mortgage, your bank handled all stages of the transaction. The bank checked your credit, lent you money to buy a house, held the mortgage in its vault, collected your monthly payments and foreclosed on any bad loans. In the 1990s, things changed. A different specialist handled each stage of the mortgage. Mortgage brokers drummed up applicants for mortgages. Mortgage banks lent the money and held the mortgage note. They quickly resold these mortgage notes to investment banks. Mortgage servicing companies collected your monthly payment, and remitted the money to the owner of your mortgage.

Creative Finance with Mortgages

Meanwhile, investment banks put the mortgages into a trust, sorted the mortgages by risk and designed a new financial instrument, called a CMO, collateralized mortgage obligation. Basically CMOs were fancy debt instruments, IOUs with a fixed rate of return, based on bundles of home mortgages. The CMOs were supposed to work just like corporate bonds. Some CMOs, the toxic ones, were based on high risk mortgages, and some CMOs were based on high-quality, lower-interest mortgages. CMOs were rated for quality just like corporate bonds. Everyone in the financial world wanted to own them.”

I highly recommend everyone check out Surfer Sam’s post on this mess we’re in.  This is just an exerpt of the whole thing.  As you know, I’ve been ranting about the cause of this mortgage conundrum for a while – Sam lays it out straight – and offers some great suggestions at the end for getting through it.

Conservative

Stefanie presents There is no Gray area posted at Random Encounters of We, saying, “Helping get the facts out about why to Vote YES on Prop. 8 on the California ballot.”

If you’re not familiar with Prop. 8 – this is the one in California that all those Hollywierdo types are giving money to fight.  This is the amendment on their ballot regarding reinforcing that marriage is defined as between One MAN and One WOMAN.  Stefanie let’s you know her thoughts about the proposition and her stance on gay marriage.  This was previously voted on in 2000 and was passed.  Those libtard activist judges in California overturned it – so – it’s up for vote again.

Liberal

Snowden presents OMG, Sarah Palin Nude Painting posted at themusement, saying, “This Sarah Palin nude painting hangs in a bar.”

Hey, Snowden – that’s pretty funny stuff!  I agree though – I wouldn’t call that one hanging over the bar art.  Looks like something my teenager could have done.  Considering I have a t-shirt that says “I want to be Sarah’s intern” I wouldn’t mind seeing one more artfully done that looks closer to real!!! :D

Madeleine Begun Kane presents Sarah In Wonderland posted at Mad Kane’s Political Madness.

Well, Mad Kane – you gotta admit – the report itself IS contradictory if it said she was in ethical violation of abusing her powers – yet was cleared of wrongfully firing the commissioner.  After all, that was the whole crux of the trooper gate issue.

The Delinquist presents October 15th Presidential Debates: My Summary posted at The Delinquist, saying, “Angry, funny, offensive, tongue in cheek summary of the 3rd and final presidential debates.”

Well – this is most definitely a liberal partisan view of last week’s debate – but – there is some humor to it.  Go check it out for yourselves.  Good one Delinquist!

Libertarian

Kirby presents Are you stupid for paying your mortgage? | Kirby on Finance posted at Kirby on Finance.

Hey, Kirby – Mrs. BoBo and I were having this same conversation this week – we’re one of the smart ones who didn’t buy in to those stupid sub-prime loans and only bought a house that we could actually afford.  We’re making our payments regularly.  While our monthly payment has gone up and additional 75% since we bought the house – that has nothing to do with our principle amount.  Our monthly payments went up because Florida is a phuxed up state with regards to property taxes and insurance.  Our property taxes doubled and our homeowner’s insurance tripled in the last 6 years – so – our escrow payment is what caused our monthly payments to go up – not our base mortgage.

Our concern over McCain’s proposal is – well – what about us?  Not that we think we should get the bailout – but – why those idiots who are living beyond their means?  We say – screw them – throw their asses out and let’s open up the housing inventory and bring home prices down again.  If what you are saying is true regarding Schiff’s recommendations – I’m floored!  It makes us smart one’s look like the idiots.

To my readers – if you haven’t already heard Schiff’s comments regarding McCain’s proposed bail-out plan – go check out Kirby’s post.  Bring duct tape with ya!

Archvillain presents (Out of) Focus Groups posted at A Dark and Sinister Force for Good, saying, “I see stupid people.

They’re everywhere.

Some of them don’t know they’re dumb.”

First – I must say that Robert Heinlein is one of my favorite authors – right behind Asimov.  Next – OMFG!  Do you live in California or at least REALLY REALLY close to that nutjob state?  I can’t imagine encountering freaks of that nature anywhere else but there.  I think those gullible morons you refer to are the same one’s voting for Obama!

Readers – please do go read this one – I’ve encountered some oddities in my lifetime – but – Archvillain seems to be attracting some serious lunatics lately!  I feel your pain!

Raymond presents New FDIC Insured Limit Covers Bank Deposits Up To $250,000 posted at Money Blue Book, saying, “Pursuant to the Congressional bailout package”

Raymond – no problem – I get how this is related to our political discussion.  This goes hand-in-hand with my previous post titled Keep Your Money In The Bank People. I touch upon the increased FDIC limit a bit myself in that one.  But – this is by far the most in depth analysis of the recent change to our banking system and furthers my call for asking everyone to keep their money in the banks.  I heard in a news report recently that a.) there is a shortage of safes in the U.S. as 50% of the population are now looking to buy, and b.) seniors are taking their money out of the banks in waves – mostly those seniors who lived through the first depression and don’t trust the banks.  Good post Raymond!

Politics

BoH presents To fear or not to fear. posted at buddha of hollywood.

Good one, Buddha.  I do my meditating over this blog! BTW – added you to my blogroll.

John Phillips presents Time Off to Vote for Employees?A State by State Survey posted at The Word, saying, “This post contains a state by state survey of the laws governing time off to vote for employees. Since voting has become such a hot button issue in the current election, it’s important for both employers and employees to know their rights.”

Some interesting information for my readers around the country.  Personally, if my boss told me I couldn’t take time off to vote – I’d be like – uh – sure – okay…then I’d leave.  But, good thing is, she’s a die-hard Republican and all about making sure everyone gets out to vote.

Fiona King presents Obama vs McCain on Healthcare: Top 10 Issues posted at US PharmD.

Fiona – just out of curiosity – why is the author on this piece on your blog named Laura Milligan?  To my readers – while this comes of as attempting to be a partisan look at both candidates – it becomes obvious it leans more towards Obama’s socialist Universal Health plan which we know has failed the people in Canada, England, Cuba, Oregon, etc etc.  Universal health care controlled by the  government is based on rationing of services.  The one’s who suffer the most have the least access.

DWSUWF presents President Jed Bartlett Endorses Divided Government. posted at Divided We Stand United We Fall, saying, “Barack Obama fits in between Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush in these raw One Party Power Rankings. Somehow that seems appropriate. My casual observation is that the amount of damage done by One Party Rule correlates primarily to the number of years the Rule is in place, and whether the party in power has a filibuster proof 60-40 majority. So there is some cause for hope that the damage can be limited in the next two years.”

DWSUWF has posted to the carnival before – as always – this one he gives to us is a most excellent and very thorough look at why we need to vote out incumbents this election cycle and ensure a balance between the executive and legislative branches.  Please do go over and read what he has put up there.  There is a very interesting link to a WSJ article about having a liberal supermajority in power – and uses historical evidence of 1933 & 1965 to prove the point.

Republicans

James Heywood presents Sarah Palin: when politics is personal, ignorance is a woman posted at Society Blog.

James – thanks for bringing this to us.  The actual author of this piece is Jessica Evans – a Senior Lecturer in Sociology.  This is pretty much another “I hate Sarah Palin” post – but – because of the author’s excellent use of the written word – she has the ability to make you think about the reasons behind the Palin Pick!

That concludes this edition. Submit your blog article to the next edition of the bobo carnival of politics using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.

Figured I would do something a little different – bloggin’ while watching the convention speeches.  I chose tonight specifically because Sarah Palin is speaking tonight.  The lineup is as follows:

Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, and Sarah Palin.  I’m only going to highlight Rudy and Palin since they are the first 2 up.  So – the idea is to comment about each individual as they speak:

Rudy:  First, I’m not really surprised he would support McCain – they’re both pretty liberal!  But, do we really need to hear McCain’s military history again?  I’m sorry but, he was a P.O.W. 40 years ago.  Yes, that was heroic that he survived that whole ordeal.  But, it’s been played out and really has no bearing on this election.  What has he done since then?

Okay – good one Rudy – comparing McCain’s history of fighting earmark and pork-barrel spending in the Senate to the “Ivy League community organizer!”  That’s actually a good zinger.  I like the idea that he brought up the 130 “present” votes because a “yes” or “no” decision was “too tough!”  Excellent!

“It’s not good enough to vote present when you’re the President of the United States.  You have to make a decision!”

That will probably be the best line of the entire convention!  Oh – and that was pretty awesome that he uses Biden’s own words about it not being a position for “On the job training” as well as using Hillary’s own words about the 3:00am phone call.  Actually, Rudy is doing a find job of using the Dem’s own words against their candidate to make a point in support of McCain.

Awesome!  “Change is not a destination just as Hope is not a strategy!”  He makes a pretty good point that the Dems are trying to “change” the facts in the debate here.  But, when he moves on to talking about energy independence – he didn’t go far enough.  He only talks about offshore drilling, not including ANWR, which is McCain’s position.  McCain has taken ANWR off the table right now.  At least he’s staying on the McCain talking points!

“Islamic Terrorism” – Who are the dems insulting if they use this phrase?!?!?  Just the Islamic terrorists!  Man, Rudy is on a role tonight.  He also points out that the Dems didn’t bring up 9/11 or terrorism the entire convention.  He really highlights McCain’s strength here and the fact that he supported the troops, their mission, and Iraq whereas the Dems had given up – then quoted Reid “This war is lost.”

Ah – the Obama broken promises – public financing, un-divided Jerusalem, FISA.  He brings up some of the more well-known Obama flip-flops here, Including his changing positions on Russia and the fact that all of his foreign policy advisors were wrong.  Wow!  Another great one!  “If I were Joe Biden, I would get that V.P. thing in writing!”

Oh Rudy, Rudy, Rudy – don’t even try to compare McCain to Reagan!  That’s blasphemy!  McCain is the furthest from Reagan than any other Republican up there on the hill!  Shame on you!

Rudy on Palin!  Excellent descriptions!  Oh..and hitting Obama again regarding his views on Palin being a mayor of a small town not be “cosmopolitan enough,” “not flashy enough,” or “perhaps they cling to their guns there.”  He rightfully points out that Palin has more executive experience than both Dems on the ticket.  He’s doing an excellent job of showing his support for Sarah Palin and pointing out all of her strong points, including how she reformed Alaska and fought corruption in her state.

Okay – he has a point here that I hadn’t thought of – he says it was wrong for them to question her regarding her ability to raise her children if she’s also the Vice President.  My initial thoughts were that it is a valid question.  Then he asks – when have they ever asked a man that same question!  Hmmm…interesting.  If she’s supposed to be thought of as equal – then – we really shouldn’t be asking that her that question either!

Excellent speech Rudy!  Good job!

Okay – I have to suspend this week’s BoBo Award!!! Given the announcement today regarding John McCain’s choice for Veep – Wow! What a hotty hot hotty!

The Best Choice for this Country

In all seriousness though – I have been tracking this woman ever since I first learned about her over at The Law of Politics. I know I said I wouldn’t vote for McCain regardless of who he picks as his running mate – that’s because I didn’t think he would ever seriously consider Mrs. Palin. This woman is the ultimate feminist ideal! She’s very strong, independent, takes no shit from anyone, does what she feels is right and sticks with her convictions, is a wife, a mother, a hunter, an athlete, and did I mention… she’s smokin’ hot! She actually competed in the Miss America pageant.

Miss Alaska

Not only has she proven that she can be a mom, wife, and run a large state at the same time – she proved that a woman can do it while she’s pregnant. She just gave birth to her youngest child this past April. With that – she also has proven she’s pro-life. When she found out that her son would be born with Down’s Syndrome – she continued on with the pregnancy rather than abort the child. This woman is awesome – and it’s going to be very hard for Obama and that 30 year D.C. insider to compete with this self-made woman.

I will vote for McCain this time just to get Palin in to the Whitehouse in preparation for her future candidacy as the President. I would most definitely vote for this woman as our next President – plus – I know this must be pissing off Hillary to no end!!!!!!

I’m sure you’ve all heard everything about her by now on the radio, tv, etc…but…just wanted to recap for ya:

  • She’s pro-military and pro-strong national defense (her son is in the Army getting ready to do a tour in Iraq) – so – she’ll pull in the military vote.
  • She’s pro-life – so she’ll pull in the pro-life voters
  • She’s smoking hot – so she’ll pull in the horney vote
  • She’s a hunter – so she’ll pull in the pro-gun voter
  • She’s comes from a union household and was a former union member – so she gets the union voters
  • She’s a strong feminist – so she’ll pull in the woman vote
  • She’s a former hockey-stay-at-home-mom turned politician – so she’ll get the mommy vote
  • She’s a hotty that wears skirts and dresses (not pantsuits) – so she’ll get the guy vote
  • She’s a staunch conservative – so she could bring back some of those conservatives who backed away from McCain (as I did)
  • She’s got integrity, honesty, and passion – so she could bring in a helluva lot more voters

This was most definitely the best decision that John McCain ever made! I’m voting for Palin! Besides, I know it has Obama wetting himself right now and it’s pissing off Hillary knowing that she isn’t going to be the first female executive in the whitehouse! I think it was a great touch by Palin today to thank and honor Hillary in her acceptance speech! ZING!!!!

Meet the next Veep Family!
